A bit of a cold shudder ran down his spine, barely noticeable to anyone but Yuu and Sage, who were still on his shoulders; yesterday evening wasn’t a dream, and he wasn’t going to get used to traveling with a legendary Pokemon for a while longer. ’I agree, this is rather difficult to adjust to,’ Sage commented, preening one of his wings before deciding to relocate and hop on top of the boy’s head. "Yeah, no kidding," the boy muttered back. They hadn’t interacted much, he was aware; still, Sage did give off the impression he was more knowledgeable about worldly matters, so he was probably better at breaking down concepts of human ideas and things if necessary, into easier bits for Yuu to understand. Kinda like looking at the roof of this building through sunglasses." At her confirmation of his question about the Galarian Pokemon Centers, he tried to imagine what she described. "Damn, that is convenient. I wonder if we’ll catch up to what Galar has some day."
The questions came in rapid-fire, making him chuckle in amusement. It wasn’t often he talked about what it was like living in Pacifidlog, though having practically lived in a normal city like Rustboro, it must’ve been as unusual as coming from a historic city built around an ancient castle. "Wild Wailord are pretty rare compared to Wailmer. Sometimes we get lucky enough to see one surface to hang out on a calm day, but it doesn’t happen a lot." Double-checking to make sure his bag was organized the way he needed, he zipped his bag back up and pulled out his Pokedex to check his party’s status. Aoi and Yuu seemed to be well-prepared for Roxanne’s gym already, thanks to catching PokeRus; both had recovered quickly after just sleeping overnight. He couldn’t say the same for the rest, but there wasn’t much of a rush to catch them up quickly. He was happy taking his time. "So, Ae… What’s the plan for now? Training? Shopping? tab Nodding as the male talked, Aelin became contemplative. There were so many regions and region variants. Like the Meowth she knew her mother had as a child. Was very different to any Meowth she'd seen in the couple of towns she'd fled through. Seeming more brute and shaggy than their Kantonian cousins. Sleek, and clean. The difference was shocking. Even the Vulpix her brother had was ice type versus the fire type she wanted to catch at some point. "It also seems they are so versatile and adaptive to the region they are in. I wonder what would happen if we took and left a Galar Meowth in Kanto for awhile. Would they just coexist?" She questioned quietly. It was a thought that may never have an answer, but maybe there would be a pokemon professor that could answer it at some point. Who knew. She looked up as he responded about being her. She grinned. "At least i'm good at that, eh? I don't think the world could take another lava rock touching, runaway." She laughed.
She followed suit as he grabbed his things once they were done. She happily took back the pokeballs from the nurse and rearranged them on her belt. She already had grown so attached to her partners. Even moving them for one moment would just. She shivered. "Aw, that would be too kind of your uncle. I wouldn't feel comfy with that though. Maybe I'll offer to pay him back in some way.... The grass did need to regrow right?" As if she could help redo the front lawn that had smoldered moments before in her battle with that jerk... She didn't even have a grass type, at least to Aelin's knowledge. "So... Less saturated, but more historical. Interesting. I'll have to make sure to visit at some point just to make sure i do understand." She grinned and nodded happily when he mentioned how convenient it was where she was from.

Eyes wide, she looked at her belt. She didn't think she could handle the gym right now... But catching a glimpse of Potato's ball... "What type is the gym in Rustboro? I might be ready for it... but I'm also on the fence not knowing what type the leader is. I may need to do more training." She chuckled nervously scratching her head. She pat the legend as she tried to decide if she could handle... If it was rock, she'd be screwed....

↳"Hmm… Hard to say," Tsubin mused. "Either that could be the case, or the Galarian one could wreak havoc on the ecosystem and become invasive, or just not be able to handle being in such a different environment at all. On that note, I‘m not even sure what any of the Meowth are like anyway. I, uh…. can’t really be around cats for long in the first place." Of course he knew what a Meowth was. His mother had a few while she was growing up, but bringing them along to settle in Pacifidlog would’ve been hard for her; none of hers would’ve been comfortable knowing they were surrounded by water. Aside from that, living with cat pokemon would’ve been a personal hell for Tsubin anyway. He couldn’t imagine living with three of them. He slightly cringed at the thought. "Well, supposedly they might put up with it if you touched more hot rocks for science, but with protection next time," he joked with a smirk.
He was rather amused by how hung up Aelin seemed to be over repaying his uncle’s small favor. "I wouldn’t get Uncle Haru anything too big in size or price if you really have to repay him. Might get too awkward. Besides, he just likes making sure we’re all safe." Tsubin nodded as she recapped her mental notes on the Ecruteak Pokecenter. "Aside from just looking at the architecture, there’s also the actual historical sites, like the Burnt Tower. You’ll take me there with you if you go, right?" he asked, grinning playfully as he made his way to the door, slowing his pace to keep it open so the older girl could catch up. At her question, he answered "Rock." She seemed hesitant to go immediately, and he understood why. "Well…. Yeah, maybe more training would help. Unless Bacon can handle it, but more prep wouldn’t hurt."

tab Aelin finally noticed the Bagon as she was walking away from the counter and towards Tsubin. She picked up the small... Ish dragon pokemon and questioningly took the pokeball from him. "What's this Bacon? Did you catch somethng somehow? Where have you been?" With her questions in quick succession, Bacon rolled his eyes. "Baaaaagon." as if that was the only answer she needed. He wriggled until she let go before wiping his face with her skirt. At least her skirt was clean.
Narrowing her eyes slightly at her snooty dragon, Aelin sighed. Her attention popping to Tsubin and the need to keep up. "That's true. They could completely wreck the environment. The Meowth near my home are steel types. They are aggressive usually and can be very territorial. Maybe not a good idea to start breeding a bunch and releasing them into Kanto, eh?" She chuckled. That would be... Very dangerous indeed. Especially if there wasn't anything that could fight them.
She laughed when he mentioned protection next time. "I've never been very good at following rules, so maybe I just won't touch in the future." Her hand wrap tightened as she stretched it. Just the thought of touching a new one made her shiver slightly in remembrance. The moment of heat, wasn't so bad. It was a nice feeling. But the immediate pain almost all but drowned out the euphoria.
She dragged her attention back as he mentioned not really repaying his uncle. She still felt bad though... But if he was certain, maybe she could find something while they adventured together to bring back? "Like a souvenir!" She said aloud. Her ears turned bright red as she realized only part of her thoughts were voiced. She'd probably sound like a loon... "I mean... Maybe I find something on our adventures that he'd like? Like a souvenir?"
"Absolutely! Let's go together to this Ecruteak and see the burned tower and the historical buildings. I've heard there are ruins in Johto as well! Or... Maybe I read about it?" She questioned her own thoughts. Stepping out into the sunlight, she caught his words. " Of course it's rock type... Celery is my highest level I think... But he wouldn't be a good type match up... Wait... The mention of the Bagon had her looking down at it. It stuck it's muzzle in the air. Somehow still looking down at her. She chuckled. "Actually, I think Matzo is my highest level. Followed by Bacon and Celery. I forgot you were a higher level Bacon. Sorry about that." She chuckled patting the pokemon on the head.
"Well, if we are preparing... Is there an area around we could train a bit?" She asked. Bacon rolled his eyes again before moving over to the right to Ember a Dedenne. Twice. She watched shocked as he just randomly attacked the poor pokemon. But she couldn't exactly stop him once it started...
