So I'm good to pop in, if you are still willing to have me. ^^ I believe it said to post this here and then work on the profile, so here it is, and I'm starting the full profile now. If there are any problems at any stage of the character creation, please let me know and I will be happy to improve. It's my first pirate/airship/steampunk rp, so it's a little outside my range of familiarity. So please bear with me.

And I was around when the idea was first being created, way before any of this was set up. Then my job demanded my time and I vanished for most of the hard work with the rp. So compared to what I planned to be involved with, I am very late. ^^u

Ah okay. That explains a lot about the magic 'system' then. I was reading it and at first I was like, "We get magic but we can't use it? What?" But now I get it. Thanks for that. And I did end up finding a picture I liked finally, that's the one I used because everything else I searched mainly came back as females or video game characters. sweatdrop Thanks again! And hopefully I'll be able to work on profile! Lol. Figuring some things out with Trance right now so we'll see what happens there.

O.O I totally thought we decided to start with him getting in 'trouble' and having a talk with Hester which lands him a job on the ship. It's in my post, you can read it and if you don't like it then he can totally join once they hit Moore Town. =D

Trying to wrack my brain on a way to fit Jas in and more importantly onto a ship. I'm starting him out in Moore Town. He dreams of sailing. But there has to be reason why one of the captain's would take him on, either at his request or simply conscripting him. He has almost a photographic memory. My idea would be if he happens to either overhear something that is needed to lead to the map, or even actually sees the map, or maybe even just part of it. But sure if that's possible or if it would mess anything up, though. What are the thoughts and probably of something like that happening?
I'm thinking I'm leaning towards wanting him to be with the good guys, but there is nothing to say that he can't be forced on or swooped up unknowingly with our band of merry pirates.

I'm sorry, but you are cheering for the wrong team here. You see, the Coalition are the bad guys, and they call us "pirates", even though we are out there fighting for our freedom and rights!
It's the Coalition that patrols the skies, crush independence, and force people to find, mine and collect this new mineral. It's is they who are the oppressors of freedom!
(I'm mostly messing with you, but not all of us pirates are bad guys... Many of us (excluding Gerald, who is there for the food) pirates are there for a reason, and not always for villainy and plunder. Good and evil all depend upon your perspective and point of view...ninja)

I'm going to ask that you forgive me and allow me some time to come up with a post. I'd just finished reading Hester's bit and I didn't think we'd skip right to our characters meeting for the first time; I just thought Archie would actually be able to do a few of those things that would get him into trouble, then they'd meet. sweatdrop
I'll try to come up with something on my end that would meet the word-count expectations.

Aha , yeah , no that's not correct ( well the latter part is ) . The Coalition are actually the good guys . This isn't Pirates of the Caribbean . Gerald just happens to be a sweet kid that is on a pirate ship for some reason .
But , as in all the best cases , "villains" believe their cause to be as just as "heroes" , it all depends on which side you happen to be on ( as Tesunie said ) . However , a majority of the pirates are pirates , ie the rape-pillage-plunder natured individuals , and certain pirate leaders have it in mind to go head to head with the Coalition forces .
From what I understand , Gerald turns a blind eye on that element of piracy . Also a fair chance that Roy ( my Roy , not rp.cpt. Roy ) makes Gerald "stay with/ guard the ship" when the rest of 'em go a-rapin'&pillagin' .
We could definitely work in something like that for Jason , have him in a position of having important information and thus buying himself passage . Or , if you want , he could always stowaway on board a ship . Many options still . And don't feel like because you're not on a ship yet you can't post , you're absolutely welcome to ! Roy's already posted for Jackson being drunk in a pub so there's an amusing drunkard wandering around town C:

You could always start with a sort of recap of what he did , like in a memory format or finding himself standing there and thinking back to figure out why he appeared to be in trouble . Or something . That might eat up some text c:
