Reid smiled slightly at the clubbers and flew after Ike, taking a seat next to him.
His antennae perked, catching the vibrations and he smiled, glowing again through his shirt. He placed his chin on his hands and closed his eyes.

Reid blinked his eyes open, looking up to Ike at the whispered question. After thinking for a moment he nodded, "water would be nice."

"Dlo paske mwen konpay, tanpri," Ike smiled proudly at his broken Creole. At least he was able to form sentences now.
Jean-Gabriel looked at the albinoid boy with something like shock. The boy spoke Creole? It must have been his mother. He gave the waiter a friendly nod as the man walked away.
Ike, satisfied that he would no longer be needed as a translator, crossed his arms on the table and rested his head there. He closed his eyes and folded his ears backward and smiled as all the world but the music disappeared.

Reid tilted his head at the new sounds in Ike's voice and leant against his best friend (as he couldn't quite reach the table). Shutting his eyes to near slits he watched the world through the narrow view.

"Alright now," Ananda held her glowstings with the confidence of an expert, "Try to do it over your head. And please, for the love of God, keep your ears down." She reached forward and smoothed Ike's ears down.
Ike grinned at the petting, for that's pretty much what it was, folded his ears back, and then peered down at his glowstrings. Even after an hour or more, he still wasn't very good.
Figure eight, he thought, like a figure eight.
The boy bent down out of instinct and swung the strings about his head before beginning to stand ever so slowly. He shot a happy glance at Reid and his sisters, neck still slightly bent.
Clemmie whistled and clapped for her brother over the only slightly deafening music blaring over the speaker system.
Desiree was completely entranced by the spinning green and blue lights.

Reid grinned as the lights spun and joined Clemmie in the clapping. He would've shouted some sort of encouragement, or whistled, but he doubted that the sound would made it to Ike.

Rabid knew what was going on the moment she hit the door of the "warehouse". The music carried well through such an acoustically perfect forest and, being in such a good mood, she daced a bit as she made her way inside.
"ANANDA! GABRIEL!" she shouted after she closed the door behind her, "WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING MY SON?!"
Ananda laughed.
Ike gave a start, head snapping toward his mother. The strings above his head tangled, and he had to leap to the side to not have the glowsticks land hard on his head.
"We are teaching him to be a hard partier," Jean-Gabriel embraced Rabid and kissed her on the cheek, "Just like his mother."
"Awh, Gods. Shhh," Rabid playfully shoved him as Ananda cut the music, "I'm here to drag my children home."

GO, MY LITTLE FRIEND! SUMMON THE SQUIRREL!
It was getting close to midnight when Reid slipped out of his room, Axel trotting closely behind him. After waking up and dealing ache which seemed to have settled in his entire body it hadn't taken long to realize that he suddenly had a different view of the world.
The Elena woman hadn't lied. The stone had done what it had said it would. He was taller.
After quietly poking around his room, opening cabinet doors and the refridgerator he'd realized there was no way he was going to sleep tonight and, after grabbing a half-asleep Axel, had slipped out the door.
After all, there were a few advantages to having your best friend's roo, only a few yards away, and easily sharing good news had to be one of them.
"Kay, Axel, you know Ike, right?" Reid whispered to the Triune. The ninja bobbed his head in a nod. "You have to be silent-" the Triune gave him a dirty look and Reid grimaced, "oh, 'you're always as silent as a shadow', right. Sorry. But please make sure everyone else doesn't wake up, 'kay?" hopefully Ike would still be awake....
Axel nodded again and Reid opened the door to Ike's room. Silently the ninja slipped inside.

Ike lay on the floor, going through scales on a nonexistant violin. He thought he saw something small moving out of the corner of his eye, but decided to ignore it.
He continued fingering silent notes and listening to his sleeping family's slow breathing.

Axel easily manuvered through the dark room towards the Ike boy that his fellow ninja seemed to need to talk to so badly.
The Triune hopped onto the bed and padded over to where the squirrel child was fingering the air for whatever reason and promptly sat on his chest.

Ike stifled a squeak, turning it into a deranged snorting noise. He gave a convulsive cough and sat up straight.
Oh...it was Reid's...little yellow thing that had decided to hide from him that one time. What the Hell was it doing in his room?

Axel couldn't help but feel proud of himself. Haha! The Shadow of Death still struck fear into the hearts of men!
Giving his wings a pleased little flip he looked to the Ike man and yipped quietly, waving his head back towards the door and trying to communicate that Ike should follow him.
He hopped off the bed and trotted silently towards the door.

Axel looked around and sat on his haunches. It seemed his fellow ninja really was going to go through with their planned ambush....
Well! After all, if the Ike man attacked, he was there as backup!
It's quite hard to be sneaky when one is glowing like a lightbulb and can't seem to stop. Reid had thought about simply waiting and saying something rediculous like 'Ike! Look! Taller!' but it seemed... well, like a bad idea and inadequete, somehow.
Such was why Reid had latched onto the ceiling once Axel had dissapeared inside. His sore muscles protested but he hung on until the door opened once again.
Letting go the firefly spread his wings so that he wouldn't accidently lose control and, finally, properly divebombed his best friend.
