Then the harpies screech into his face as soon as he makes his way to the top. His eyes widen and he stumbles backwards. He didn't realize that he had stepped into it's area. Something seemed vaguely familiar about all of this-- but his eyes scrunched down because the harpie immediately attacked him without any other provocation.
He wasnt happy to do it.. but he goes to attack back as well.

One attack after another, and Rhryse found herself tiring. But is seemed like she was actually making a dent in those featherbrained beasts.
She didn't allow herself to think of what it might be like to win. She wanted to win, yes. She was determined to, yes. But there were no early victory fantasies. Not until the last bird was down.
She fired again.

The harpies came in for another attack. They were still hitting her, landing blows, but so was she.
Another attack on her part. The most satisfying one yet. Something about landing a decent shot made her feel... proud. Proud and pleased. Yes. She liked this.

The harpies had thinned. Rhryse was still doing her best not to get ahead of herself. The battle wasn't over until only one side remained.
So she lifted her weapon and fired again. It was nice to see the harpies fall.

And then is was just her and one harpie. Just one. One quick harpie that evaded her attack.
Rhryse felt the blow, and she knew she was nearly done for. She'd nearly done it. Nearly won. But the harpies, will, they had simply had her with numbers.

She wasn't one to give up. No. Not now, not ever. She knew that. She didn't know how she knew it, but she knew.
So she raised her weapon for one final attack. One final blow. If she was going down, then her opponent was, too. There was no shame in a tie of defeat.
Rhryse smirked as she watched the last harpy fall.
Too bad she was to beat to continue on.

Nush was back. He did not want to let this blasted place defeat him. He would succeed this time. He knew it. Though, to say in the least, he was off to a rocky start as a stone hit him from above.
