Kai brightened up. Dashner was there! He was the boo band's keytarist - and everymonster who was anymonster knew that the keytar was the backbone of any good band. Kai gave his brutha a fist bump.

"Aloha, Dash! Don't worry about it. Some of the nice goblins here offered to go get Glen." Kai nodded at one of the goblins. He wasn't sure if it was the same one who had spoken to him, though. They all looked startlingly similar. "You pumped, bro? The BAND! Back TOGETHER!"

He noticed something creep towards them through the shadows...was that...

"Oh, aloha, Marceline." Kai greeted the bone-tastic ghoul. Yes, they were in the ghoul band, and there was some professional competitiveness bristling in Kai's fur...but he'd save THAT for the stage!

Outfits!, Kai thought to himself. He had completely forgotten about outfits!

Oh, well. He shrugged to himself as Dashner turned to Marceline. He was sure they could improvise SOMEthing.

Regina panicked as everyone's attention drifts towards the music. "Uhh, but what do I do??" She cried at Atomica, who seemed to be the head of the RIP's, but then her voice hushes down to a whisper. "Like, what kind of songs do you play...?" The little angel nervously brushes a lock of her hair behind her ear again. Questions were rapidly passing by her frantic little head like a mini typhoon. What will she wear? Does she have a mic? Will her voice be loud enough? Where will she be standing? Most of all, why was she pushed into joining in the first place??

The wingy ghoul's hard drive appeared to be overheating. Atomica decided to take control.

"Now, now, activate your cooling fans. Don't they have music where you come from?"

"Well...hymns..." Regina replied. Atomica thought on this.

"Well, what we play is like, basically, the hymns of the teenaged monster. Let me run a tutorial for you. First, you need a beat. Sally, could you?"

Atomica nodded at her drummer. She activated her metronome app.



"You just need a simple beat, in 4/4 time, to give you the rhythm."

Atomica placed her hands on Regina's shoulders, lifted her up and placed her in front of one of the backup singer microphones.

"Then, you need your bass line. Arillena, you said you play a lot of instruments, can you?..." Atomica handed the gravestone-shaped RIP bass guitar to Arillena.



"Then you need your melody. We actually totes used to HAVE a band member named Melody, and she played the keyboard. But since she's busy with tombwork, we're going to try something totally diff." Atomica pointed at Layla, who raised her flute to her lips. "We're going to have a wind section! Just like the band Chicagore!"



Atomica activated her telescopic vision. Marceline was over talking to Dashner Hawke. Very clever - she was clearly trying to find out what the competing band's playlists were! Atomica approved of this brilliant bit of hexpionage.

"And right here is where the aggoredian would come in with the counter-melody, but Marceline is currently on important band business. So you'll just have to imagine it."



Atomica listened for a bit. Things were gelling together surprisingly well.


"Then it's time to add the lyrics! This is where I come in."

Atomica grabbed her microphone. The song was morphing into something recognizable.

"I come home in the moaning light,
my mummy says when you gonna live unlife right?
Oh mummy dear, we're not the fortunate ones,
And ghouls just wanna have fuu-un, oh, ghouls just wanna have fun!"


Atomica stopped and looked at Hellene and Regina.

"And this is where you two come in - you're the har-moan-y!"

Atomica looked at Regina.

"Are you getting it?"

Arillena couldn't help but keep an eye on Marceline. Her initial fear of meeting her again was fading, and being replaced by concern. Well of course Dummy, think about how upset she was! Her desire to talk to her grew but silently. Ari would rather not embarrass Marceline or herself any further. The kindly fae wanted nothing more than to set things straight but, now was not the time for that. Damage control could be done later. For now...


While it was oddly shaped The Fae recognized the instrument as some kind of guitar. She nodded hurriedly and smiled. Adjusting it to herself she strummed a practice bridge. Sounded fair, Should be simple enough.

"What's next?"

Damyn continued to stand idly and noticeably distantly from the rest of the Boos and Ghouls. Besides being silent moral support for His Changeling friend, the Fae was uncertain of his actual purpose here. But I did promise...*sigh*

Just Outside the Catacombs....Haunted Park Entrance.

Wyvernia and her camera-ghost, Boolian Freaks, parked their news van off to the side of the looming cavern entrance. There were already banners hung up above the entrance, welcoming boos and ghouls alike to Woestock.

"This is great!" Wyvernia told her camera-ghost as he started phasing his equipment out of the van and setting up. "We'll get some establishing shots of the outside, and then head inside to get some footage as monsters start to arrive."

Draconia stepped out of the van and looked around, a bit uhh-mazed. It WAS really impressive the amount of work and attention to detail Harry (or, maybe, his goblin assistants) was putting into this presentation.

"Draconia?! Draconia!" The dragoness was interrupted from her admiration by the sound of somemonster calling her name.

"Hm? Oh, hello. Skeletorrence, isn't it?" Draconia recognized the skeleton boo from school. He had a single shock of bright red hair poking out from under his striped knit cap. She recalled that he was best known for his habit of-

*crack!*

"Aaa ooo eaeee oaaa aaaa ayyy?" Skeletorrence asked. Of course, Draconia raised an eyebrow, not able to understand just what he was saying. That was because his jaw had fallen off and tumbled across the ground just as he'd opened it to start talking. He was notorious for having this happen to him.

Skeletorrence raised a hand, felt around where his jaw SHOULD have been, realized what had happened and looked around for the missing bone. Draconia reached down and picked it up for him.

"Oh dear, here you go!" She handed it back to the Skeleton boy, and he clicked it back into place.

"Thanks!" He replied. "Sorry about that! Got a little hexcited, that's all. I was trying to say, 'are you ready for our date?!'"

"Our...our date?" Draconia asked, a little taken aback. "Today? Now? Are you sure, Skeletorrence?"

"Sure! And call me Skelly! Everymonster does." Skelly pulled out his iCoffin and showed Draconia the message from Glen da West. "See? Glen set it all up. It's going to be skel-tastic!"

"Oh...well, all fright..." Draconia replied, a bit hesitantly. She hadn't hexpected another of Glen's '13 Mansters' blind dates to creep up so fast. Oh, well, she mused to herself. Last night's had gone so well. What's the worst that could happen?

Skelly offered Draconia his arm as they strolled towards the entrance to Woestock. As they walked into the cave, the wee tiny fairy lights that illuminated the way started to twinkle, as if inviting them in.

"Woah, that's really-"

*crack!*

Skelly's jaw dropped off again, taking an odd bounce off into the darkness outside of the lit path. Skelly rubbed his head sheepishly.

"Aaaheee. Iiii oo eh ah." He said apologetically as he trotted off to go find his jaw. Draconia sighed a bit.

*POP!*

Right in the center of the cavern where Woestock was set to begin, Glen -- and Nero, appeared surrounded by the clan of Burly Hurly and his cache of kidnapping goblins and their teleporting Hexpress Hag! Nero blinked in surprise as Glen looked from left to right, eyes wide.

"What happened!? Where are we!? And what's more important..."

The walls of the catacombs shook with the outburst.....

"WHERE'S GRUMPY BAT!?!?!?!"

Kai glanced up from where he was chatting with Dashner as a storm cloud -- a literal STORM CLOUD! -- was forming right there in the caverns! It grew larger and larger as thunder rumbled, and lightning flashed -- LOTS of lightning!

Kai turned at the startled yelps of goblins as Burly Hurly and his clan were running wildly in all directions...

"RUN FOR YOUR UNLIVES! THE WITCH HAS LOST IT!"

Kai turned to Dashner and smiled.

"Clawesome!" Kai gave his bluddy a thumbs up. "Glen's here!"
