Oh but it wasn't all sugar plums and candy apples now... no, just as she was about to do more celebratory dancing, one of the unattended tentacles came around her back, and gave Bea a swift slap to the back. Yelping in pain, she went flying forward a little, and landed square on her face on the ground. Groaning, she winced as she felt the intense pain along her back. What in the... Peeking over her shoulder, she squeaked in horror at what she saw... black stuff pooling out of her back! her eyes were wide as she reached around to touch the infected area, brows knit in distress... ohmygosh... what... what was this?!
oh but that bunny fox was back... sniffling softly, some tears having popped up, Bea blinked at the crystal that was beside her, and then her little egg thing of power. Putting the two side by side, she was shocked to see the cracks in her energy orb thingy start to disappear! looking good as new just as she had gotten it!
but her wish...? she stared at her blue orb, but... nothing came to mind still...

Spinning around to confront that damn little creature, and shake and answer out of it, Esme felt in full mood to argue about the definition of aquaintances. It was far to neutral a word to express how she felt about some of the people here's tendancy to point weapons at her face. As for wish, the only thing banging around in her skull right now was the wish for a few answers, or at least something to take this carefully bottled frustration out on. And she got her wish.
"Eeeeahhgh! What is that?!"
Clamping her hand over her mouth, she struggled to hold back down any other shrieks of surprise. There was something to fight, just like she had asked for, and for some reason she felt perfectly comfortable as she raised a hand in the air and felt the bulk of Ol Terminator appear in it. Feeling it's comforting weight in her hands, she already felt better. They'd blast this nasty thing to kingdom come, and start getting some answers. Hefting her weapon onto her shoulder, grunting slightly with effort, she sighted down the barrel and pulled the trigger, releasing a massive ball of crackling orange energy that smashed into the creature, and pushed herself a good couple of feet backwards with the recoil.
Panting a bit with exhilaration, watching other attacks slam into the monster, Esme glanced around for someone to high-five. Spotting another girl who was literally dancing in place with excitement, she waved cheerily, only to wince as a blast from the monster hit the other girl right in the dignity. Wincing, Esme made a note to go back and check on her as soon as she had a free moment. Turning back to the monster, she began to run towards it, swinging Ol Terminator out in front of her.
"Hup hup hup!"
Jumping, she slammed it into the ground, like the worlds oddest pole vaulter, sending her flying towards the monster. She wasn't sure where these moves were coming from, clearly she must have spent ages training, but all she knew was that they were natural, and so put her brain in the backseat and let her muscles drive the body. Hurtling towards the monster, she brought the bazooka around again, whacking the beast in the face with it like a club and rebounding off it.

As she fell backwards away from the monster, Esme swung Ol Terminator around once again, though this time holding it out properly and aiming along it. Gritting her teeth, she felt the huge ball of energy grow inside it as she focused her fear, getting larger and larger... unthinkingly, one hand reached up and flicked her sunglasses down. This one was going to be bright.
"Eaaaaat ittt!!! Sunny explosion!!!!"
The ball of energy that came tearing out from inside her bazooka lifted her up in her arcing flight of path and flung her all the way back to where she had started from. However, muscles kicked in again and doing a small somersault in the air, she landed feet-first, sliding back along the ground for the last part of the kickback.
Flicking her sunglasses back up onto her head, she grinned as the slow-moving ball smashed into the monster from close range, sending beams of light and small chunks of glowing solidified fear chunks flying in every direction. Now this was what she was talking about. Then, according to the rules of bad-a** battle poses, she turned her back to the flickering light and began to slowly walk away.

Of course, one good thing to do before you turn your back and slowly walk away from a defeated enemy is to make sure it's actually defeated. A tendril shot out and hit Esme square in the back, sending her tumbling forward awkwardly and landing on her hands and knees.
"Oaaw! The heck?! That hurt..."
Grumbling and keening softly from the pain and surprise, she pulled herself up, using her bazooka as support. Then, dissipating in to focus on the matter at hand, she spent a few moments twisting around, trying unsuccessfully to get a good look at the hit that had landed on her.

"I don't think that just smack them is very interesting for a reaper. O-or at least I don't think so."Her hand clutched at her head once more as she tried hard to remember what she was going to finish saying. However she was interrupted by the cat thing and she turned around to stare at it.
Her Wish..? Wish.. what... What.. was it again. Something that.. has to do with sweets? Her brows furrowed and she tried not to think of it too much. Shaking her head quickly, she pulled her lollipop close to her body and nibbled her lips with worry. Her head turned to look at her new acquaintance again. "Do you remember yours Tanith? I can't.."
However she gets interrupted once more and she nearly falls back at the sight of the questionable thing. "A-a-aahhhh!!! We ..we have to fight now!?"She holds her weapon out and swings it lightly.
"But I don't even know how to use this thing! Aahh this is horrible." She swings it again before closing her eyes and trying to think. As soon as she does this, the ribbons whip around and something shoots out at the strange appearance. It seems to be ... Candy? Little candies that explode upon impact and melt whatever the exploded pieces touch.
Alice's mouth gawks as she stares at this. All though it doesn't seem to affect the thing very much..
She woke up, feeling as if she was dragged from a deep slumber. When she tried to remember, her hair could only comprehend the deep vastness of an abyss. She searched for any remnant of herself; friends, family, her life. But nothing came to mind, her internal search was futile. Before she could even panic though, she sensed a presence of somebody other than her. There was somebody else there..? Who was it..? She turned her head to look at the strange creature.
He knew about her circumstances? "Who are you..?" She tried to ask but her voice came out in a raspy whisper. She brought a hand to her throat, wondering if everything was all right with her body. The creature percieved the silence as an assent to his question.
The energy returned to her body as she became more conscious. Finding the strength to stand up, she stared at Kyuubey with questioning eyes. "Aren't you wrong?" Why would she choose to fight..? Even without memories, her body recoiled at the thought of perpetuating more conflict. She didn't believe it was right to fight. Yet there was no way to confirm the truth with the lack of memories. All that she had was this creature's words to rely on. "I apologize, please continue."
She reached out for the item, grasping the jewel in her hand. It should have been foreign to her.. but the gem was oddly warm in her palm, her heart beating much more rapidly now that she had obtained her item once again.
< Ah, let me explain a little better. There are many kinds of Fear. There is kind, benign Fear, taken from Humans, to help our world. Then there is a terrible type of Fear that would take without considering the balance between Humans and Halloween. >
< You have been chosen to restore this balance of course. Your weapon will help you do this. As a Reaper, skilled in using Fear in weapons, I'm sure you using this weapon is natural to you! >
She wasn't alone. There were countless of other girls like her. Perhaps they were all in the same situation. She couldn't let herself be overwhelmed by the questions -- like where she was, or why she was here? The only information that she knew for certainty was her name. "I don't know what I want to do yet. But it appears that I cannot stand idly by and watch any longer."
Vatatchi The new girl (Girls) seemed to be doing okay, so she went back to practicing. (hey, aromatherapy works, right? And the flowers were making everything around her smell delightful) And then that thingie came back. Her wish? She had no idea....
Whooooooa holy s**t what was that?
No time to think, it was after one of the other girls. "Hey. HEY. Batshit bonkers McShadowface!" she shouted, falling into a stance, "Eat some lotus B***!" She said as she launched herself at it swinging...

Vatatchi Poff. Okay that was wimpy, but hey, at least it smelled better.
She let her Bravado carry her over. "Hey, smell that? Can you SMELL what the VATACHI is coo... Oh never mind." that had sounded like the worst thing ever.
"Just go to hell or wherever you come from!" she shouted, swinging again in a double strike.

Vatatchi Poff
What the hell, what sort of weaksauce quarterstaff was this? the flowers just went squish and expelled scent! PRETTY scent, but...
"...THIS NEXT ONE IS FOR REAL!!!" she yelled, sweeping her quarterstaff in front of her and, hitting it... POFF. Now there were particles in the air going RIGHT FOR the thing.
"Ha! Take that!"

Vatatchi .... And she accidentally blew the spores/scent particles away with her yelling. F***.
OH CRAP IT NOTICED HER. She guessed it must not like the scent of lotuses. Jerk.
She dodged a tentacle as it slammed by her, then another, and then...
"AUUUUGH MOTHERF*****!!!" she screamed, hitting the ground and rolling as the PAIN hit her IN THE BACK and WOULDNT GO AWAY. She squirmed out of reach (she hoped) and craned her head to look in shock at the injury.
Ohhh... ohhh noooooo... What... Was that... was that her spine...?
She poked at it gingerly, but it was numbish. And then. "Huh..." it was gone... but her watch... was it breaking?

As she shuffled frantically in a circle, her foot clattered against a small crystal that must have fallen back with her from her final attack. Bending down stiffly to pick it up, she locked eyes with that damn creature again, surprise being the only thing holding her back from beaning it on the head. As it's nonsensical babbling and vague instructions washed over her again, she barely listened. What was this, some sort of video game walk through?
Pulling herself up and together, she shoved the crystal into a pocket and the creature to the back of her mind, to deal with later. Wishes, or whatever it kept going on about, were put aside. You don't get anywhere by thinking about wishes. Right now there were other things to pay attention to. Looking around, she spotted a girl wearing the same overwhelmed look she had sported herself when she first arrived. Waving at the girl, she trotted over, trying to keep her distance from the main fight.
"Hey! You're looking a bit lost, need some guidance?"
Of course Esme didn't know much really, practically nothing. But any help was good help right? And at least she was a little more oriented to what the heck was currently going on. Giant squiggly monster and all. And, she considered, better her to get to this girl first than Viridian. She had been separated from her companion in the large crowd as the fight begun, and couldn't help but think of it as a small blessing.

"Thalia!" Kleio beamed. "You're--" The smile faded as she examined the girl standing before her, her expression quickly twisting into worry. "Oh no! You don't look fine!" Oh dear! Should she have saved that crystal? She should have, shouldn't she? But she had been told to put it beside her gem and she had obeyed and--
"I guess we need to be strategic from here onward then." She said shakily. "I mean, if we find more crystals, and I hope we do, we should pool them together and heal those who need it more? Or keep them until we really need them..." Maybe this had been her wish? For everyone to be safe?
Why had they even volunteered for this? She wondered. Who exactly were these humans they were supposed to protect?
Fuzzy Thing reappeared as if from nowhere, its calm voice somehow audible even over the din. Then again, its mouth never moved as it talked, so maybe it was speaking with some kind of psychic mind-speaky type thing, and maybe that was what made it a lot more audible than regular talking. It suddenly seemed strange that it could do that to all of them at once...
Filled with a sudden burst of curiosity, Tanith piped up, "Hey! Speaking of making acquaintances... who are you, little guy?" She crossed her arms. "And what's all this about a wish? I don't remember making one!"
She scowled. Another important memory to add to the List of Forgotten Things. When did she make that wish? What was it for?
It was true, however, that Tanith understood the importance of battle far better than any of that; or at least she felt she did, for it sounded like such an abstractly important purpose. To be chosen for such a task made her feel worthwhile. And so, when the creature tore its way into existence, she jumped, hopping from one foot to the other, abuzz with not only fear, but excitement. Now was the time to prove herself!
... oh.
Just as quickly as it came, some of that anxiousness faded as she turned around and remembered her weapon. A bag. How was she supposed to fight that thing with a bag?
Her head whipped around to see Alice's lozenge barrage. Even a lollipop could be cooler than this! "Okay, there! That's how you fight without smacking it!"
But what am I going to do?
She picked up the bag, shook it once, twice, and then growled.
Screw it. She was going to run in and smack the damn thing.
