Saliva and Melvin had not been lucky rabbits, and the tired, beaten guard held the chemist as they appeared at the base of the portal, both unconscious and badly bruised.

Harrison stalked back to the elevator, drawing his key from his jacket to return to the penthouse. B0nez was snoozing on the enormous bed.
"Hey," he shook him, "wake up. We got a meeting."
"Meeting's over," B0nez groaned.
"With the Voice...s**t. Here." Harrison found some slip-on shoes from the closet, and got B0nez's glasses from the dresser. B0nez sat up, blinking owlishly, and slumped against Harrison's shoulder as Harrison fitted him with shoes.
"Can't war happen laaaaater," he yawned again, "I've got all the programs...set to run, you can do it just, uh, eh," he seemed to reconsider what he was saying, "nevermind. Don't touch the computers. I'll...eugh. How did I get up here?"
"Rep took you up," Harrison said. "Come on, you can sleep after." He handed him his glasses.
B0nez rubbed his eyes, and put them on, frowning. "Carry me," he demanded.
Harrison rolled his eyes, but waited on the bedside for B0nez to climb up onto his back before heading to the Voice's chambers. He hoped this didn't take too long. And that B0nez was paying attention, because half of this strategy stuff was way over his head.

Oh.
Oh.
Unconscious bodies.
Gargantuan stared for a moment, waved the bartender for another shot, and hastily got to his feet to see what he could do. He was no doctor, but in the very least, he could slip one arm around Melvin, and the other around Saliva with a grunt. Hoisting them over his shoulders, he carefully made his way to nearby couches to lay them both down. Hastily looking from side to side, G was wondering if he shouldn't just shove his pills down his throat.
Thing was, Boss had said you needed both of them, and how could he pick between the two of them? Hell, maybe they'd even choke on it if he tried.
"s**t. Need you guys to hurry on back and do somethin' here." He growled to himself, rubbing at his face tiredly even as he pulled up a seat. Least he could do was watch over them just in case.

[ENTERING]
"Hey honey I'm hooooome." Rep boomed as he kicked open the doors to the casino. The portal had gone a little wide of the mark but close enough. He was grubby, he was a little bit worn out and he was in a mood somewhere between irritable and horny. It wasn't a great combination, nor was it a fantastic combination for being concerned about individuals and their wellbeing.
That was why when he spotted G carrying what looked like an unconscious Melvin and Saliva, he put both his hands in his trouser pockets and observed without actually saying anything helpful at all.
"Where's Ace?" he asked, checking the stage.

Melvin was light as a feather, but Saliva packed a bit more umph when lifting her. Set on the long, spacious couches, the pair barely moved. They were covered in a layer of dust, and their clothes were wrinkled and torn. A bit of blood here and there had already dried and caked. Still, they were breathing.
It took a few minutes, but the power of the kingdom was working it's own magic, and Saliva slowly opened her eyes and groaned. "Oh....that sucked." She said, touching her head. World swimming, she sat up and gripped the back of the couch. "That was a nasty fall." Her eyes looked up to see G nearby. "Oh....hey handsome."

Hm. Very interesting. If Malodore had any thoughts on the Voice, it kept them to itself - though its face did smooth into an impassive mask afterwards, with no sign of a smile to be seen anywhere.
It kept that silence as it departed, with just a bow in the direction of the 'King'. It would perform an autopsy on the corpse of the Silver Kingdom... yes indeed.

Oh--Rep. The big man straightened a little, doffing his hat respectively for the man. "Still out I think, sir. We're the only ones here, wasn't no one around when I got back." Not that he'd seen, anyway. He hadn't gotten real far.
As Saliva shifted, Gargantuan spun quickly, placing a steady hand on her shoulder. "Easy, ma'am. You were out cold when you got back, but you're back home now. Nothin' to worry about." He was trying to be reassuring, even though the tips of his ears did flush a little at the name.
Handsome. Yeah, she probably called all the guys that.

Saliva sat back against the couch, not content to lay down but still feeling whooped, and looked at where she was sitting. She was pretty sure she didn't magically appear on this couch. Seeing as Rep was rather snappy with her before, her eyes settled on G. "Did you carry me here?"
A low groan came from Melvin as she shifted, and Saliva looked over at her charge who - in lieu of muscular men, had been forgotten. "Melvin, you okay?"
Another whimpering groan answered.

he said with a disappointed sigh. "And here I was hoping for some entertainment." Actually he'd been hoping to get a chance to fuss over the worn out man and make sure B0nez was doing okay, but it wasn't something he was prepared to admit.
He wandered over to Melvin to peer at him, flat out ignoring Saliva after her threats to murder him earlier. He poked the blonde man.
"He's got plenty to worry about, he's still a Melvin."

"Uh. Yes, ma'am. Didn't think it was good for you 'n him to be layin' out on the floor like that." Might have gotten stepped on, for one, and he was sure it wasn't comfortable. He shifted his feet a little uncomfortable. Hopefully she wasn't about to be offended that he'd hauled her up like a sack of potatoes.
Rep's words earned a weak twitch of his lips, and Gargantuan didn't make a move to stop him. It wasn't like he was trying to hurt the guy, after all... yet. "Take it you two got history. Besides him druggin' yer cat and what not..."

Saliva was in no way offended, and only smiled up at him before inspecting his arms with her eyes. "Awfully nice of ya. Must be strong to do that." She continued to inspect. "Work out?"
Melvin finally woke up at being poked, and turned from facing down into the cushions to having his cheek on the cushions and looking to see a leg. "Tiger. Not a cat." He tried to get up, and only managed to set his head on the armrest instead. It was somewhat like sitting. "Are we done yet?" He whined. His body ached.

Rep's curiosity narrowed down to irritation. "And still no even ******** sorry he did it." he snapped. "I know him mostly through Ace wanting the money he brings in. It's no often this little rat leaves his lab."
He had some small amount of sympathy for the blonde man though. "No idea. I ******** hope so. I've got other things I'd rather be doing than standing around here all day."

Gargantuan's chest puffed out a little with pride, but he only rubbed the back of his head with a bit of embarrassment. "Uh. Y-Yeah, a lil. Not as much as I should, maybe, but I--" Probably shouldn't tell a woman that, what was he thinking? Idiot!
"Yeah." He finally settled for, grinning a bit foolishly. "Tiger. Right." He was glad to see Melvin was awake at least, folding his arms over his chest. "What happened to you two?"

When Taima stumbled back in, it was without the tranquility she'd had coming in. She was visibly worse for wear, all scrapes and scratches and blossoming bruises. She held an arm close to her body as if to protect it, and she didn't bother to hide the slight limp. Her dress was dirty and torn, and she was scowling as she dragged herself to the bar. She was far from cool, calm, and collected--instead, she looked annoyed.
This was not what she had signed up for.

"Ah, well it shows." The urge to squeeze a bicep was strong, but Saliva only scooted closer to the end of her seat in order to make that opportunity a bit likely.
"Oh, well, we were right near the top of that tower when the stairs broke. Right under us." They had been close, and she had hoped to come back to the boss with a victory that even low-tier workers like them could deliver.
Melvin on the other hand didn't care as he finally manage to sit up (though was slightly swaying), and held up his sleeves. "Awww. I'm all dddiiirrrtttyyyy. Saliva!" He held ups his arms up for her to see.
"Melvin, I didn't bring another hoodie with me. You just have to wear it."
Melvin still looked at her, waiting to see if she would give him another answer he liked. When she didn't give him one, he just sat there, arms held up slightly with his sleeves drooping, all covered in just, and just looked as miserable as he could muster.
