Sparrow, occupied with the pom game, hadn't even noticed the Inari, but now that he saw it, he blinked owlishly at it and stepped closer curiously.

Mort still felt a bit put out by the awful Scario Kart cluppy and decided he'd give hunting another shot. Much like the cluppy, however, the inari evaded his grasp with ease.
At least there wasn't a gryphon laughing.

Alright, maybe he'd try creeping up on the thing to see if the element of surprise would work. It . . . didn't. Something else snuck into the zomboil's hoodie, though for now Mort's eyes were only for the elusive inari.

Alright, one more shot, Mort. You could kill a human with one hit, so you could catch a mini with both hands.
The difference, however, lied in their speed. He came close to grasping the inari, but still it slipped away, and with a sigh the zomboil conceded defeat.
