Shaheen continued to smirk, ready to come up with her own witty retort when she was suddenly sprayed with something. Green gas. That was new. Last time he had just swung his cannons at her in a delightfully painful display of power that she had actually been somewhat impressed by. But this. This was just cheap.

It stung at her eyes, and it sent her stumbling back, away, trying to find an escape from the gas that was finding a way into her lungs, burning, making her gasp and choke and cough. But no, backwards was not the way. She should have been throwing herself forward, at the target. Stupid, stupid!

The war chieftain closed her eyes and ran forward, attempting to just barrel herself into the hunter full force to knock him off of his feet. It wasn't pretty, but it might get the job done.

Blurry eyed and broken, Ami tried reaching out to Junpei. She could at least take the pieces. That would be okay, right?

She let out a cry as she dragged herself closer to him. She only moved an inch, but her burns scraped along the ground, skin bleeding from the trauma.

Getting to Junpei was all that mattered. They could scrape up her remains later. She just had to make sure her weapon was saved from those monsters, those horsemen. If he reverted back into a tablet now, or if some stray horsemen saw the pieces ... it would be disastrous. She couldn't give Junpei up, not to anyone.

It was just as she'd said to Soren.

Junpei was everything.

She'd made progress of about 4 inches, but the gap was at least 2 more feet. Her body gave out entirely, abut she could still see him just sitting there.

The small group who had been set to defend were leaving, taking those who needed it with them, and Ofelia stayed ready to defend or attack or whatever else was needed of her.

Shik didn't like it when his prey was finished before he could do it himself. He also didn't like it when said unconscious prey still managed to scurry away thanks to its ratty friends. Shaheen wouldn't get a snippy comment about getting her own food as the executioner tracked his new target.

The sound of wingbeats heralded his arrival as he did a fly-by and sliced at Clerise with his crooked dagger. "I don't appreciate someone taking my kill," Shik said as he turned to face her, several feet in the air and with a distinctly disappointed look on his face.

Lots of things happened so quickly to once more that Tori got confused by it all and then she blacked out. Coming too Tori now really hated lava, thanks you stupid ponies as Tori tried to ignore the odd burning abrasions on her skin as she stood back up.

Looking to see if there was someone that needed help and she spotted Ryan just lying there on the ground. Going over to where he was, carefully picking him up and put him over her shoulder as she booked it out of the prison to get back to the island.

Poor girl. She'd need some bandaids as soon as they got out of the frying pan that had dumped them in the fire that had led them to this bullshit.

She looked around one last time for Otto-- and hoped that he'd gotten to the portal. Same for Sasha. She was the one lolly-gagging today.

Hoisting Hazel in her arms, she made a break form it, running through the portal, Hazel in her arms.

The alchemist noticed another hunter, this time surprisingly male; Eisheth was almost ready to believe the hunter group mostly consisted of female warrior wannabees. She tried to get him with the Hell Welder, but this particular one was too agile, and her chain only penetrated the air.

A noise, somewhere in the dark.

Wash squinted, peering at a prone figure on the ground.

"Hey..." A hunter coat, definitely. Red hair. A body? He hoped not. He swallowed, suddenly nervous. "Are you ok?" He came closer, touching their shoulder tentatively.

He rolled her over to reveal- Ami. One of the other young women who'd been trapped down here and- in bad shape. A broken hairclip lay just out of reach. Maybe some kind of head trauma? He stuffed the pieces into her coat pocket, and rolled her onto his shoulder with a grunt. A fireman's carry might look inelegant, but he didn't know what else to do. His own FEAR shield was weak.

He cautiously proceeded back into the dark, retracing his tracks into the colosseum.
