Chryses stared at the lake in wide-eyed shock. This...was not what he had expected. He had not been privy to the trances, but he walked forward anyway.
And then there were shinies and his brain officially stopped working. The Greed demon just stared down at the bottom of the lake. SO MUCH SHINY.
He registered enough to notice that dragon fire apparently had no effect, so he didn't go jumping for it, but shinyshinyshiny. There had to be some want to get to that hoard of treasure,,,

"Mitzi!" Mei grinned widely at the Reaper ghoul. It had been so long since the last time she had seen her friend that excitement swept over her. Nearly pouncing on her with a hug. "Oh I've missed you!"Turning around she stared out at the lake and all the shinies that seemed to be strewn about beneath it's surface. "Ohhhhhhhhh...." The Jiang Shi was in quiet awe, she liked shiny things. Linking an arm with the Reaper she pulled her towards the edge of the lake, peering down to everything beneath it's surface. "Is it.." Sticking out a toe she tapped at the ice with her foot. "Well that's inconvenient."A strange beeping noise caught her attention, lifting her head she glanced about trying to locate it's source. Her dark brown eyes locked on the faintly glowing blue runes and narrowed. Why did they seem so familiar?

Shehk had tucked the vial of water from her strange keepsake box into her jacket before she'd even left her room, beginning her descent slowly down into the darkness..... she could smell that other people had been there recently, so it was really just a matter of playing catchup.

Okay, she actually had very little idea of where she was going, beyond following familiar scents - Sammy's was the easiest to pick out. Not because the ghoul smelled funny, but because Shehk had the most exposure to that particular one.

Hmm, the scent got stronger along here, actually. Was that a good sign?
She really hoped this wasn't a path leading to the gates of the human world or something. Some sort of elaborate hunter trap or something....

There were a lot of scents up here, and some of them smelled more recent than others, to be honest. Hmm..

How had everybody come down this way, anyways?
It seemed like there was a lot of everything happening down here and it was making her guts wrench a bit. Everybody was curious - they always were - but never the less, it seemed like there was absolutely no reason why this was a good idea.
Well, she could see why it was a good idea, but.....

As it seemed scents began to mingle and get stronger down the way, it became easier to follow after them without wondering exactly where to go. She just had to keep one hand on the wall and follow the trail of what seemed like the more certain individuals.

Maybe that scent wasn't actually a squirrel. But man, something about it was just sniff-sniff-sniff-sniff.
A lot of things smelled good to Shehk lately, though. She'd have to wonder why that was a little bit later when she wasn't playing 'Homeward Bound' with everybody.

Once she'd gotten well away from the door it was easier to get her brain back on track of the scents of other students. Damn, she really loved having a good 'trackers' nose sometimes.
A lot of the time.

The scents were starting to get really strong by that point in time, and Shehk found herself walking just a little bit faster than she had been before.
