Emery nodded behind him, too embarrassed to realize that he wouldn't be able to see it. She fumbled for a topic as the ride started, feeling the need to fill the awkward silence. "So how has your day been?" She asked, before realizing that was probably the stupidest question she could have thought of.

Emery nodded in agreement. "It's been a busy day." She thought back to the days events, which had all led to this moment. It was not where she had expected to be at all. "Why did you come to the amusement park with me anyway? Don't you have more important things to do?" As she waited for his response, she listened to the music playing on the ride.

KatjaJean I am used to temperature like -20 degrees celsius...around negative 3 degrees F if you want the conversion XD. Not sure if that's colder or warmer than Wisconsin though? ╔════════════════════════════╗

Emery gave Ren a confused look, fully aware that he couldn't see it. "What's your fault?" She asked, not knowing which incident of the day he was referring too.

It's 40 degrees F out right now, so it isn't quite that cold XD Are you insinuating that I come freeze my butt off in maple leaf county? KatjaJean Well, winter lasts for a long time here XD, so it's always around that temperature. I mean, sometimes it snows in summer too. smile I am actually worse with heat than with the cold, so I would rather freeze my a** off than burn my a** off. Emery's eyes widened as he admitted that this had been bothering him. "Ren, you aren't my babysitter. I was an idiot and climbed up a tree, even when I was told not to. It's my fault." She hadn't realized that he had been carrying any of the burden on himself, and she certainly didn't want him to be upset over something as simple as a scraped leg. "You caught me, anyway. This barely hurts - if I hadn't landed on you I'm sure I would be in a lot more pain." Emery wasn't the best at comforting others, but she hoped this would get through to Ren.

Jyccly I prefer the cold to the heat too, but extreme temperatures make my asthma mad either way. I usually just stay inside instead XD Well I can't shoot anything anyway because I'm blind in the eye I need to put the scope thing in front of, and" apparently" I talk to much XD The deer are afraid of my high pitched teen girl screams idk

KatjaJean Stay inside is good, just open the windows for fresh air smile . I'm basically a couch potato these days, all curled up doing nothing. About hunting, one of my friends actually suggested we both get a license after graduating from high school. That never happened XD, kind of disappointed. One day though, maybe XD. Oh yeah, I think so. sad The deer are screaming silently as they dash through the forest, away from your high-pitched screams. ╔════════════════════════════╗

Emery sucked in a deep breath as he patted her head, and she found herself hugging him tighter in response. She wasn't used to being taken care of. While it had originally pissed her off, she didn't actually mind it anymore. "Thank you." She said sincerely to his back. She noticed the ride slowly starting to slow down as she said this, and felt slightly disappointed that it was already over.

I am from a redneck family, and somehow I came out like this D: I don't do anything redneck like. I just sit on the internet and talk to strangers from Canada crying But my family is all hunting and fishing all the time. My dad and brother speak in grunts. It's really impressive how well they stay in character. It's not my fault! Puberty was hard crying

When the ride was over, he stepped down, and then lifted Emery off gently.
"Do you want to get some food." he asked, wondering if she wanted to take a break before going on another ride.

Emery nodded in response to his question, looking around at the stands around her. It had been a long day and she had definitely worked up enough of an appetite to grab a bit of food. There weren't many vegan options at amusement parks, but a nearby stand seemed to sell french fries, among other foods. She pointed it out to Ren. "Let's eat there!" She exclaimed, grabbing Ren's hand and pulling him in the direction. After just having her arms around him for several minutes, grabbing his hand to bring him to the stand only seemed natural.

Depends on if you want to see both of them shy and awkward, or if you want to make pudding get shy and awkward while you laugh at him. smile Oh, fries are great in general. Emery shot Ren a glance as he paid for their food, slightly irritated that he kept paying for her. Emery kept the running total in her head, with the purpose of paying him back later.
As they waited for their food, Emery pulled Ren to a picnic table set up near the stand. She sat down, thankful to rest her leg again. She hoped that she didn't bleed through her bandage, but knew that it was not the appropriate time to check. Instead, she opted to quiz Ren.
"Tell me about your childhood friend you keep mentioning. You say I'm like her?" Emery raised an eyebrow at Ren as she asked the question.

Jyccly I totally want to laugh at pudding. Off to make a loud obnoxious character! I like mine with ketchup, but that's because i love ketchup biggrin It is the ultimate dip. I may be just a little obsessed with potatoes...
