 Rose looked at him, "I am not freaking out. I am just not comfortable with the leader being here. Not after this morning...." She shivered thinking about the questioning she had to endure earlier. Rose nodded her head at the boys words knowing he was right. "Thank you, I am just tired and sore from at the running around." She added as she pulled herself together.Looking at the clock she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Rose's pager went off causing her to jump slightly from her thoughts. "I am needed in the ER. You can go with or you can leave if you want. I don't mind what you choose but thank you again." She said softly before waiting for an answer.

 . . : | H I B I K I - I T O U | : . ."Discomfort, panicking, same difference. It draws a lot of attention to yourself. Why do you think everyone knows me as the medic with the "oh shxt" mantra? It's 'cause I was panicking under a stressful situation and began chanting it in the hopes of it keeping me from passing out like the surgeon had," Leo retorted calmly before peeling himself off the wall and starting out the door. He paused briefly at the door to motion the female to hurry up and move only to continue walking towards the emergency hospital bay of the bunker with smooth footsteps. As he walked, he removed his jacket and tied it around his waist so as to keep it from getting in the way of his work.
"I can also tell you why you're always so tired. You let the other medics be lazy when you're on duty so you get walked on by them everytime I turn around. You, quit filing your nails and go check on the patient coughing over there. I've been listening to him since I walked in, now do your fxcking job," Leo added, his hand hitting the nurse's desk he was walking by before motioning the nurse behind it to a nearby room. At seeing it was one of the twins, the female nurse's face paled and she did as she was told without any arguments. "See? If you aren't telling them what to do, they aren't doing anything. In my opinion, you don't make yourself useful, you don't get fed. Supplies are limited and the useless don't have a place here. End of discussion. It may be a cold way of thinking, but reality isn't all rainbows and butterflies... In Cristophe's words, only the strongest will survive and the strongest are those who work."
Hearing a small disturbance from the ICU, the dark haired male gave a soft sigh. It seemed someone finally noticed Hayden's disappearance. That meant Hibiki should be here shortly... Scratch that. There he was, waving slightly at him. "Hey, y'all. I see Leo is helping with your job," Hibiki smiled almost playfully while ignoring what little bit of his bangs refusing to remain in the ponytail his hair was in brushing against his neck. Seeing as Leo continued on towards the ER, the reddish-brown haired male became a little more serious as he poked Rose on the forehead. "Go get your stuff. Your shift's over, girlie, so turn off the pager. You ain't stayin' overtime again today. They'll live without you and Leo's checking on that patient even if he's off-duty to make sure you leave on time today."

Rose stuck her tongue out at him and walked slowly back to the locker room. She looked back at Hibiki and then went inside to gather her stuff. Changing quickly into her street clothes she sighed softly as she let her hair down. Rose giggles softly as her bangs fell into place and then looked at her pager. It went off causing her to jump slightly, looking up at Hibiki she struggled to fight the urge to look at the pager. Looking down slightly at the pager she shut it off without thinking about it. Rose tossed the pager in the trash and smiled at Hibiki before making her way to his side. "So where are we going now? What are we going to do next?" She asked quietly as she looked up at him as she shifted her bag on her shoulder to keep it from falling.

. . : | H I B I K I - I T O U | : . . "That is a surprise," Hibiki answered almost playfully as he slid his arm around Rose. Once the nurses had passed him by and got out of earshot, he started leading her towards the door while letting his expression grow a bit more serious. "We get to Mole's and Mouse's hideout. The kids have already helped me move things without drawing too much attention... We just have one issue... Ze Mole and Mouse haven't returned yet so we just gotta keep a low profile and make sure no one finds us until they do." Giving a soft sigh, he tugged up the hood of his jacket before leading the slightly older woman out into the ash drifting down like snow. From there, it turned into a walk similar to how Mouse had walked her around just to disorient anyone who tried to follow them.

Rose nodded before pulling her hood up and pulling her scarf over her nose. She thought about her brother on their way to the home they would stay at. Wanting to remain quiet until they got there safely she looked around at the trees that were dying from lack of water. Rose got closer to Hibiki as the walked as she looked around at the world. "Why is it that all the good things die first?" Rose asked herself aloud not realizing she had said it loud enough for Hibiki to hear her. Thinking about what it would be lie if people were to chip in and help clean up then maybe the world could be fixed. Always have the imagination that things can be fixed, because someday you will be heard. Dream big and never let them break you of that sis. Rose smiled hearing her brothers words in her head as they walked along the paths.

Having heard his female companion, Hibiki gave a vague half-shrug before fidgeting with his little medical mask keeping him from inhaling the ash falling down around them. "That's a pretty easy answer or at least it is to me. The good things have flaws, weaknesses that is, that the bad won't hesitate in exploiting and using to their advantage. The good, however, usually remains in the laws of what is fair and justifiable. There are few like Cristophe and Jay who would commit even the most corrupt of sins to protect those they care for," the reddish-brown haired male responded to her words before letting her enter an old building before him. Leading her up to the upper floors with their dirty windows, he removed his hood and lowered his mask just to smile at Jack and Leo sitting amongst a bunch of kids between their age and Hayden's age. On a small pallet near them was the still restlessly sleeping Hayden instead of being awake as Rose had said he'd be.
"Hey there, lovebirds. Y'all move so slowly," Jack smiled while giving Rose a slight wave. Leo gave them a wave too, but did not smile like his twin. Once his hand ceased waving, he was returning his attention to keeping watch over Hayden's behavior as he slept.

Rose looked around and then let her gaze fall apon Hyden. She thought to herself, medically this is not a coma......something else is at work here other then the IV. She looked at Leo and Jack and motioned for them to come closure. Once they were closer to her she whispered bearly loud enough for them to hear her voice. "Can you guys explain to me what his behavior has been like the whole way here?" Rose asked them both watching Hyden over their shoulders.

"He's acted like he did in the bunker; still very conscious of his injuries and anything that touches him yet not really showing much reaction to it much less waking. I carried him all the way here and he did not even twitch. He still seems uncomfortable though, no matter how he sits or lies," Jack responded while running his fingers through his slightly off-white hair and glancing back over at the younger male. Other than a slight grimace, he didn't really move so Jack shifted his gaze back towards Rose.
"It's possible he could be reliving the event of being attacked in his sleep. After repeated or severe stressful situations, post-traumatic stress disorder is bound to set in and one of those events just so happens to be reliving the situation in dreams. It's a theory in the very least," Leo stated calmly as he kept his gaze on the younger male with the same dark hair as his own. Whoever did this to the boy deserved something horrible to happen to them. Of that, he was most definitely certain. Hibiki, on the other hand, was dealing with some of the children wanting to play.

Rose nodded thinking, "You may be right. We have to find a way to wake him and help him out." She said as she looked at Hibiki then looked back at the boys.

. . : | H I B I K I - I T O U | : . . "I'd love to see you try. I've been trying to get him to wake up since before Leo got back. Besides, Hayden's always made it clear he has trust in no man left on this Earth, but faith that never wavers in a higher power that put him into such a situation for a reason. He believes this higher power has a plan and after reading his book myself, I can understand why he has such strong faith yet little trust in man. Man has made bad choices since the dawn of time as we are easily swayed by things like greed, gluttony, lust, pride and wrath," Jack scoffed before growing rather serious for once, his hand reaching into Leo's shoulderbag so as to show Rose a leather bound book with a cross upon it's cover. It wasn't an overly large book, but for any books from the past, it was definitely a well taken care of book with pages between each of the pages with ink words explaining what these words written meant although whoever wrote these notes had an intricate way of writing.
"Feel free to attempt waking him. As he more than likely behaved upon meeting you in the medical bunker, even if he were to wake, he will most likely be detached and focusing his attention elsewhere instead of answering specific questions much less speaking of how he feels other than any irritation he's feeling or boredom. He's naturally going to redirect everything and while he's complained on many an occasion about how we tend to get clingy after work, he seems to have failed in keeping himself detached from us to the point that he feigns his irritation. Hayden understands why we became that way. He is wise beyond his years and won't hesitate to use that knowledge to avoid speaking of himself," Leo retorted while briefly waving the female over to attempt waking the boy. It was apparent these two had given up on trying to wake him seeing as he refused to budge from where he lay with them. His gaze then shifted over to Hibiki where he was giving a fake roar and calling himself a monster while chasing the children around. "Can't stand people yet doesn't mind children. That's just how Hibiki is."

Rose looked at Hibiki and then shook her head. "I will think of all of our options before taking jumping into anything." She said softly before waking away from them biting her lip deep in thought. She made her way to a corner away from everyone to lean against the wall. Keeping her gaze focused on the floor she thought about the options they had. Not liking how this argument was going she let her eyes wander around the room in search for one person. Rose smiled when their eyes met but then looked away as she thought about everything at hand. She knew Hayden is need for the plan to work but how could she help him regain consciousness without him being stuck in a moment of time?

 . . : | H I B I K I - I T O U & H A Y D E N | : . .Upon Rose leaving them, the twins sighed lightly before Jack returned to sitting beside the dark haired boy whereas Leo went off to see if any children ran off to the other rooms. It was when he noticed Hibiki's smile that he realized the older male was easily distracted by Rose and his pace quickened after he noticed there were a few kids missing. Hibiki had allowed some to leave the room by pausing in his feigning of being a monster to smile gently at her. He knew they knew not to leave the building, but if anyone noticed movement... If anyone was drawn inside the building, everything could be ruined so easily.
It was during his being out of the room when Hayden's eyes snapped open and he lunged at Jack with his fist pausing perhaps a couple inches from his face. It'd been instinctual, but then he realized who it was and felt the pain running through his body. Seating himself back on the little mat, Hayden pulled his legs up to his chest while shifting his gaze warily around the room as if taking note of who all was here. Upon the room starting to spin, however, he opted to lay on his side even if it hurt and still never spoke a word.
"Hayden! We were so worried about ya, kiddo. I didn't expect you to attack me, but it's good seeing you awake. How are you feeling?" Jack sighed in relief before sitting back up and gently setting the back of his hand on Hayden's forehead. He still had a light fever, but other than that, there wasn't any symptoms of illness setting in much less infection setting in.
"I'll live," was all Hayden muttered in a hoarse voice only to try clearing his throat. After a few moments of silence and rejecting the small tin cup of water, he finally added, "Stop staring at me like I'm some fragile piece of glass. It gets annoying real quicklike."
"Sorry... I just... Rose, he's up if you want to talk to him. Try getting him to drink some water and eat something as simple as a few crackers too. It seems he's still as rebellious as ever to our suggestions."

Rose quickly walked over to the two and snapped into reality. "Hayden, I need to know if anything hurts. Also, if you want the room to top spinning I suggest drinking some water and eating something light please."She said softly as she looked at his persona. Rose looked for any bruising and found quit a bit on his sides and back. "I know you don't like this treatment but I need to do my job. It also would go by much quicker if you would cooperate, please Hayden. You can trust me. I promise I am not going to hurt you." Her soft voice asked as she looked at the pale young male. Rose couldn't help but notice that his stubbornness resembled someone else she knew. Her eyes shifted to Hibiki then back to Hayden, "Hibiki, can you bring me something soft to lay his head on, please?" She asked finding his eyes among the slowly growing crowd.

. . : | H I B I K I - I T O U & H A Y D E N | : . . "Sure. Kids, if you'll excuse me for a moment, I've gotta fetch something for Rose. Jack, can you play with the kids a bit?" Hibiki called back before handing one of the smallest children over to one of the bigger ones. Once Jack went over to the kids, Hibiki went digging through a pile of duffelbags. Hayden, on the other hand, kept his gaze diverted from everyone else, his body tensing as Rose was checking under his shirt.
"Ha. As if I'm stupid enough to fall for that again... Almost everything hurts and eating lightly with some water isn't going to make my lightheadedness go away. It's a head injury that caused it after all which more than likely caused a mild concussion which took me a little longer than normal to awaken from. In short, I was knocked out by a blow to the back of my head during the beating I endured. I can tell by the dull throbbing sensation in my head stemming from the back of my neck. Quit checking me for physical injuries. I've been felt up enough by more than three medics by now including Jack and Leo," Hayden grumbled while pulling his legs up closer to his chest while tugging his shirt back down over his sides. It was apparent by how he kept his clothes that he'd prefer keeping as much of his skin from showing as was possible. It didn't help when he was wearing a much too large shirt, but he tried to keep most of himself covered at all times. "My cooperation only ends in trouble, Miss Rose. I'm not the kind of kid who blindly agrees to trusting those who say they won't hurt me."
"Still as stubborn and untrusting as ever I see. Here you go, Rose. And you, Hayden, let me see under your shirt. Jack and Leo have told me about the ones from before and I'm pretty sure you know what I'm talking about," Hibiki stated calmly while handing Rose a pillow before gently pulling Hayden into a seated position. Once there, the younger male reluctantly removed his shirt completely thus allowing the bruises to show more openly although his expression couldn't really be seen behind his shaggy black hair. At all of the oddly shaped bruises and some upon his arms shaped like a handprint, Hibiki almost seemed afraid to touch him again. "Who did this to you?"
"Doesn't matter... Can I put my shirt back on now?"
"It does too matter, Hayden!"
"No, it doesn't! As soon as Mole and Mouse are back, we'll be leaving anyways so just drop it!" The room grew silent after Hayden finally snapped as Hayden had never been one to raise his voice like that before so it was a shock to nearly everyone to have him snap so suddenly. Sliding his shirt back on, he snatched the small pillow from Rose and tucked it under his head as he lay back down. Jack and Leo, upon whom had just returned with the children, exchanged glances briefly yet said nothing whilst Hibiki just shifted his gaze to the floor. No wonder his sister's husband said he could clear a room if angered. The kid turned into a demon when he snapped.

Rose looked at the two while they talked. When Hayden snapped she took a few steps back. She cringed but didn't flinch. She looked at Hibiki shaking her head softly for him to just drop it. Rose looked at her feet then placed her hand on Hibiki's forearm as if to motion for him to drop it for now. There was a noise from outside of the building that caused everyone around them to jump.
