"Lizard. Salamander. Same Diff." He said with a hand wave before he noticed the upper half started to move. "Heeeyyy. So you're the top I've heard about. How about you ditch the loser and hang with me?" To which he noticed she was moving away, and leaving what he aimed for behind.
"Hah! I got my date now." He told Sheridan, before offering his claw for Legs to come to his side. "Thought you lost your sense of taste, Legs. Was going to be sick if I saw you in sweat pants and flip-flops next." His tail curled to see her slender legs move in the short, almost transparent skirt she strutted in. Confidence, style, and pride. She was more woman than he saw in most ghouls here. "How about you hang with me some?"

Charlie gently took the horse woman by the hand and lead her to the dance floor. There he grabbed both of her hands and began to do a happy little dance that looked like something a child might come up with. It was completely uncoordinated but some how its awkwardness made it that much more entertaining. "Like this ~" He announced happily. ((O u O ))

It would not go well for Amarus to try to teach someone how to dance, on second thought. She was a terrible, terrible teacher; mainly because she was awful at explaining, and even if she was patient, she'd just pass out of sheer boredom. Definitely not teacher material. She would savour whatever of swing dancing Mot would show her this time around, then.
Amarus never stopped enjoying the spinning, and every spin just seemed to make her light up more. Her dress was a bit heavier than what she was used to moving in, which made her feel a bit confined, but the fact that it was backless helped her breathe a little better: cool air on her back whenever they spinned. Not that temperatures phased her, after all-- it just felt nice. It was all really great: the dancing, Mot being fun to chat with, the spinning.
It would do them some good to take a break, though, even if Mar was a bit like a kid in that she was excited to dance and sad to stop. But yeah, she didn't want Mot to die or anything. "A drink would be great, too," she said, yawning as she thought about Mot being tired. Somehow that was enough to make her feel sleepy for a moment. Gotta stay awake!
"I'm good with either!... but the fruity sort would be great, I'm sure," she said, laughing. "So long as we're going to drink it, and not let me hurl it into the crowd... like my elbows, or my shoes." Amarus reached out with one hand and gently held onto Mot's arm so she wouldn't lose him in the crowd. "Lead the way? My sense of direction is... doubtful at best. Except in complete darkness. Then I do okay, for some reason."

((Proxy for Huni)) The winged ghoul rounded on her lower half, hands balled into angry fists while crimson eyes glared daggers at the imp. "Legs' "taste" is questionable at best when it comes to the sort of company she associates with." Tess was seething, her lipstick-painted mouth curled in a derisive sneer. ** This was one of those times that Legs wished she had the equivalent of a face. So she could put dark glasses on and smirk to her upper half to deal with it. Instead, she gave her a** a provocative shake at the winged ghoul and her dragon date then sauntered over to join TG. At the suggestion of wearing such an atrocious combination, the pair of legs jutted her hips in defiance. As if scoffing at the thought.

"I think you've thrown yourself around enough for tonight. The quota hath been filled." He said amusedly, smiling with a shrug. He held a hand over the lady's hand on his arm as he led her to the refreshment table, being the gentlemen that he was. "Well then if the lights go out will you help me out? It seems I have the opposite problem." He managed a small laugh. Once there he let go of his dance partner, taking two cups and pouring them both a drink. With a smile he handed one to Amarus. "Have you enjoyed the Prom so far?"

Xiu couldn't hide her giggling, but at the very least, she tried. Leaning over to see the photo, the baku tactfully reached over Sio's shoulder and pointed towards one of the buttons.
"That's the delete button, if you'd like to make use of it," She offered, grinning. Then, leaning back, she swept an arm out to indicate all the students dancing around them. "Why don't you snap some more photos, if you'd like? Or..." She trailed off with a thoughtful hum, tapping her chin She wasn't much of a dancer, that much was to be certain, but...
"Maybe we can do some kind of silly dance when an appropriate song comes on?"

He was here. Why in Jack's name was he here.
Mengyao stood in the doorway to the ballroom, eyeing the crowd of students there with a look of mild distaste that was hidden by the mask obscuring his face. He tilted his head slightly, pressing his lips together as his fingers curled around the cane he held in one hand. The clothes he was wearing felt unfamiliar to him, stiff and new, and the distinct lack of fabric was making him feel slightly ill at ease. He was used to the draping folds of the Conquest robes, the heaviness of the fabric over his arms and body, but this? This was so much more different. The sleeves were smaller, constraining, and despite the length of the coat, which reached down to the backs of his knees, he felt oddly under dressed.
It was a very strange sensation. Mengyao turned to the side, just slightly, and looked down at his companion for the evening. He had picked Tahki up at exactly seven thirty, as only a true gentleman would have - and hoped that she would not try to slap him again. Now, as he stood beside her in the doorway, he was quite glad she hadn't.
"Are you ready, my dear?" he asked lightly, and held out his arm towards her, resting the cane in his other hand on the ground with a click.

Taryn adjusted her dress before she entered the room and felt a sweet swell in her chest. Oh, nostalgia. The room was very well-decorated, beautiful even, and dim. Students and the occasional horseman mulled about within, chatting or dancing... the music, though. That could use some work. Apparently somebody was hungry for eyes? Reasonable, but really something to write a song about? Windham seemed somewhat anxious, his ears laid back, and Taryn gave a soft "oh."
"I just have to drop Windham off, then we can go get something to drink," the ghoul nodded. She crossed to the pen, gently urging her cycorgi on, and then lifting him up over the gate and plopped him inside. She patted him on the head and gave him a kiss between the ears, causing him to scrunch his face. "I'll be back soon, just a couple hours. Go make some friends!" The poor dear really did need to see more minipets, whether or not he seemed particularly content sitting in his bed and chewing a bone. What that done, Taryn stepped back and looked around the room. Ah, she wanted to do everything...
"What would you like to do first? Are you thirsty? Hungry?" She didn't imagine that Pich's shyness would let him dance, at least not right away. She had been just as nervous during her first dance, but over the night she had loosened up. Hopefully Pich could too! It had been so nice once she'd been able to calm down.Sadi Sidhe I wasn't sure how you wanted to do this with our schedules, so I figured we can just post when we can and reply when we're around! :3 <3

Ulmuka was all grins. Of course he was always all grins but tonight it seemed more genuine. He grinned at Lattice and bowed a bit to her compliment. She seemed a bit more shy than her sister, so far, but a nice ghoul none the less. He concentrated on Petro while the ghouls chatted. "Oh yes. We had photos at my home. My father and brother were there." He nodded informatively. "Some in front of the fireplace and some in front of the house. It was brief! We came from there actually!" The strix noticed the food of course, he was starving! Always! He focused on it across the room. "Oh there's food! We have to do everything, Petro. Photo booth.." He ticked on his fingers. "Food.. and dancing. Dancing is important at the prom!" Muka liked to dance.

His expression darkened as he closed the distance between himself and TG in a single long stride. If the imp thought he was going to walk off with his date (even half of her) just like that he was mistaken. "I am a dragon. I am not a lizard or a salamander." His tail twitched, flicking back and forth like an angry cat. "Now get away from my date before I turn you into a very tiny ice cube." A wisp of ice glistened off one fang as if to emphasize his point.

She could do it. She could do this... yes... yes she could. The ghoul whispered within her own mind, her body tense as the clinking of her hooves echo'd off the hallways leading to the prom hall. She was skittish, shy... even jumpy. Her wings were tucked tightly against her back, and her ears were pinned. She would look entirely frightened to any one whom bothered look at her. Wrens creamy skin was the perfect backdrop for the shade of red that might as well have been glued there, it was always present anyways. Biting her bottom lip, she recalled why she chose to do this. She had insisted to Sparrow that she would not go. Pleaded actually to let her stay back... it had not taken much, but still she could see the disappointment in his eyes. He always was understanding of her interesting problems. This time though she wanted to do something for him. She had planned on attending prom all along, but wanted to keep it as a surprise for him. This was a test of wills for her as well. If she could do this, then all of her work was worth it. She had been working on becoming less shy around others, sometimes jumping as opportune moments. She was the perfect subject to scare. Wren wore a simple gown of blues and greens to match her mask, and pinned her hair back simply. She had not put a bunch of effort in to herself for this, but she wanted to look a little nicer than usual. Finally within the actual prom room she paused. Froze, taking it all in. Then she took a deep breath, let it out. She could do this. Spotting over by the drinks a familiar flash of golden brown hair was visible. He looked dashing in his outfit really. She tried her best to approach unseen, but trying to avoid others was also really difficult. Oh yeah she was going to have a panic attack sometime tonight... but before that. "Sparrow?" SHe reached out and grabbed his wrist. Successful sneak up attempt? Not so sure.

Tahki had attempted to dress for the prom. She managed just fine but what she wore was far from normal attire but some how her outfit worked just fine. Tahki seemed to not notice though. The two were here on some sort of friends only thing. It was very platonic and very to the point. Secretly Tahki was just glad she got to go the prom with some one. This would never be admitted out loud by the arctic gryphon. There were so many faces of people she knew and others she didn't really know. Mengyao dragged her back. "Yes" She was very short and to the point with her reply. "Lets~." Tahki eyed the crowd once more before extending her hand out like a lady for Mengyao to take.

" Oh," Mitsu thought back to the moment for Lou. Honestly she had been a bit worried for Xiu but the ghoul had plenty of friends to back her up. " I'm alright I just hope Xiu isn't too upset about what happened." Speaking of the ghoul Mitsu smiled as she came close for a hug, careful of her punch. " It's what friends do right? We look out for each other," Mitsu assured. " None of us would have let Lou bother you...even if you agreed." She waved to the ghoul as she trotted off to socialize with Sio. " Who did Xiu come with anyway?" Mitsu asked looking up at Shun. " Didn't she come with umm..." Oh she knew his name Xiu had said it before. " V...Vaith?" That sounded right. ---- Something...was sounding fishy. Titus did his best to keep his expression mutual, his other hand going to her waist as they slowed their dance to a slow circle of movement. It took everything in his power to keep his eye from twitching. Composure. Breathe. Composure.....BREATHE. It was a struggle to keep the conversation going and as much as he wanted to throw his hands in the air and go flailing away screaming like a little girl he forced out the word. " What?" Though it might have been in a bit of a squeak before he cleared his voice and tried again. " What?"

"Depends," Lark slipped her fingers down one of Kettil's dreads, pulling his head down so she could press a kiss to his chin. She didn't relinquish her grip on the thick lock of hair, instead twining her fingers around the well-maintained violet strand. "Depends on how'm feelin'. Depends on how yer feelin'. I jest wanna dance w'ya right now. Feels nice t'hold y'again. Been too long," Lark rambled idly, pressing a thumb against the curve of his collarbone. Words required too much work, and so Lark fell silent, content to merely wobble her way around the dance floor with Kettil.

Deleted. >:I Pesky photo. She breathed a sigh and looked around at the other dancers, slipping the strap over her neck and snapping some pictures. So fancy! Click. What a cute couple! Click. Teehee those two are laughing together! Click. She paused and looked to Xiu, grinning widely at her suggestion. "That would be most fun!" She exclaimed happily. "I shall gladly be your partner for that." It also helped Xiu was more her size than most others.
