Checking the time, she put her phone back in her purse and looked outside, seeing the street lights turn on and cast their golden glow over the snowy streets. "I guess it's almost closing time," she stated, looking back at Alexander in the fading light. She couldn't help but think he still looked handsome, even without full daylight. "Hmm," she said, looking outside, "I guess I didn't drive to work today," She said it quietly, more to herself than anyone else.

When he returned, the fox was wrapped in a knitted blanket and Alexander was wearing a thick scarf. "Forgive me in assuming you've no ride for the evening. Are we to share a walk this evening?" Once again, Rasiel was unbearable adorable in his little blanket, and Alexander seemed even more attractive with a scarf on. "But I don't mind," she said, smiling lightly. As the evening light began to fade, she grabbed her things. "Will Rasiel be accompanying us on this walk, sir?" she asked politely, slight joking in her tone, making light fun of Alexander's formal manner.

He shifted the fox, whose eyelids were drooping, into the crook of an elbow to offer her his arm. "Shall we then?" He said. He looked out the frosty front window. "I suggest we take it slow this evening, those roads look rather slippery." He said with a small amount of worry.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

They made their way out of the shop and down the street, with the cool winter wind dancing among the snowy trees. "Definitely chillier than last night," she noted aloud. As they walked, her head began to ache slightly, and she lifted her free hand to rub at her temple. "Alexander, out of curiousity... how long have you had the apothecary?" she asked, looking up at him.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander looked up thoughtfully. "A few years now, let's see...I left my old home about ten years ago, I was still quite young." He said. "I came here and wandered around the country quite some before I was old enough to pass for someone old enough to own a business so...'bout five years I'd say." He said, still looking up thoughtfully. After a moment he nodded, as though making sure it seemed right. "The folks who owned the place before didn't inquire much about my age, as long as I paid their asking price, and for that I'm grateful." he said with a small laugh "Were it not for that I'd have been on the streets for much longer."

The small pounding in her head stayed small, but it remained constant. As she listened to Alexander, she did the math in her head. He couldn't be any older than 20, so if he'd had this shop for about 5 years, then... "Wait, so you bought this shop when you were, like, 15?" she asked, a little curious. Unless she had done the math wrong, which she knew she didn't. She rubbed at her head a little, the pounding continuing.

I'm glad things worked out," Danny said, looking up at him as she walked by his side down the snowy sidewalks. Her boots crunched the snow quietly as she strolled down the cement walk with him. "That must have been a lot for a 15 year old," she told him, looking down at the white frost covering the corners of the cement blocks. She looked up to see they were nearing her house.

Her head started to pound harder, but Danny ignored it, looking up to Alexander instead of rubbing her temples like she usually did when this sort of thing happened. "Well, your happy now, right?" she asked as they came to a stop at her front door.
