Blade set the food aside that he didn't eat so she would have something later. Despite the fact that she brought him so much food, he honestly didn't need to eat that much. She leaned back against the tree and drifted off to sleep. Blade looked up at the sky and an orb of frost appeared in his hand, the mist sliding off of it like a living creature. They made the little one do so many chores that Blade didn't disturb her as he rolled the orb around in his hands. Something wasn't quite right. Despite the knowledge that the enemy had been forced back, there were still enemies afoot. After all this kingdom had been beaten by them to the point it had to take a major rebuilding just to get this far. Blade reached down and nudged the girl gently. She mummered sleepily and Blade smiled very briefly. "Time to go...not safe to sleep here."He scooped her up in his strong arms and the food with the other hand. He then carried her down the road back towards the house, always looking and always aware.

Truly overwhelmed by the remarks and contact by the two lovely young women, James started to blush a bit turning his cheeks slightly red. This, however; didn't stop him from still pursing his plan on taking them out and maybe getting them to join the D.Z, plus having more members would be great. In fact, with them in the D.Z he could stay in touch with the foxy women. By now James could tell they didn't care if he stared at they're breast so he kept looking back and forth at both of the girl's. Then something hit him. Were they using him? Food and directions from a pervy soldier would mean a little teasing would get them whatever they wanted. James smirked. He had an idea. "Um..well..Sure! I'll tell you more about the D.Z on the way to the restaurant. Then, the tour. Well my sexy companions, shall we get going?" James said in his low and alluring voice. Though he knew they're true motives nothing was wrong with being friendly, specially to these stacked hotties.
"I've evolved from what I once was. Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes of defeat and reclaiming its place in the never-ending sky; I will never fall. Not until the vengeance I've longed for has been sated. "
Returning after spending some close quality time with Lacie, Kouen entered the main dropout of the city with great inner excitement. It had been two years since he had last bee and it seemed that the Mystic Industries had done their job well. The Zaibatsu had been fully rebuilt and possibly even better then the Glory Days that it once was. He figured that this was naturally only possible through the extraordinary skill and mental ability of their beautiful Head Captain but the this new generation was growing without pause. The Phoenix was half-tempted to break into a trot out of sheer need to see all that he had missed out on in his two years of brutal and unforgiving training alongside his Blood Brother; James. But this would have been beneath him so instead, he kept his steady pace along with his serious but calm expression on his face. His cloak slightly shifted behind him as the wind blew through the air, keeping with the relaxed nature that the mighty organization now held. All of the buildings stood out as being far more grand and better enforced in order to protect against future possibly sneak attacks from other enemy forces that saw fit to butcher their people. The soldiers posted within the walls were alert and seemed ready to drop their weapons at a moment's notice in order to begin combat. The assault two years ago and the tragedy that had resulted truly shaped the Zaibatsu and morphed the Zaibatsu back to the primordial force that it once held the right to proclaim itself to be. As he advanced through the Town Center, Kouen had been careful not to reveal his identity too quickly. While he wouldn't have objected--they would have to fess up to their crimes soon enough--but he wished to have the chance to explore for a bit longer before doing so. In no way that they shaped it, their abandonment of their regiment--despite the reasoning--had been wrong. It was an act of betrayal and the highest penalty for such a crime would possibly be death itself. But unwilling to to dwell on this before the time for confession came to pass; he soon noticed James far ahead. Along with him stood two very attractive and generally beautiful ladies of many virtues features. Due to being more Level-Headed then his best friend, he seemed not to notice how scantily dressed they were. Stepping forward before they could follow after the other, he stood in front of the three. Formally bowing in a manner that was old fashioned yet polite; he spoke softly to the trio.
" Greetings, James; my Brother. Along with you as well, the two lovely mistresses that stand before me. I was hoping that you would not mind taking me along with you in your tour. I couldn't help but overhear and wished to tag along. I, too, am anxious to see how many things have changed in our time of absence. "
Removing his hand from the side of his chest close to his heart as he resumed his usual relaxed stance, he narrowed his eyes slightly. If he truly had to guess or predict; he would state that James had easily been suckered into lending them whatever aid they required. How, one may ask? Well, James was always quite the easy fool to manipulate when it came to feminine wiles. Or at least that's most would assume from giving him a simple glance. His perverted nature hadn't helped this little thought in the slightest and he even seemed to encourage. Though he wondered what James's true intention of showing them around himself was. While it normally would be nothing more but to get himself in quite the 'lucky' position with these beautiful women; doing this when he just returned was unlikely. Perhaps as a way of recruiting possible new soldiers to their growing army? But something had left him curious. What had brought them to the Zaibatsu in the first place? After all the destruction and the total and utter defeat at the hands of the Doma; one would think they would flock to join up with the organization that had clearly toppled the other in a single battle. Remaining silent while awaiting James's response along with the others, he couldn't help but be suspicious if even in the slightest degree.
" The Zaibatsu and the family I've made within are all I have left. They have shared my joys and my sorrows. I will not allow any harm to befall them. If you try to lay but a finger on their being, I won't hesitate to send you to the Void itself. " "

๑۩۞۩๑Luna Maglio๑۩۞۩๑
╚══════════════╝
☽☾ Luna was about to get up and start to walk with Isolde and the man who she hadn't been introduced yet when another man walked up. This one was tall and had red hair that shined bright in the sunlight. He had a professionalism about him that was both alluring and intimidating. His eyes were serious but his words were kind.
"Hello. Nice to meet you. I'm Luna." She gave a bright smile to the man, her hand extended. "Well I certainly don't mind another handsome man joining us. Do you, Isolde?" If there were two then it was possible to learn even more about the city but the chances of them being over taken in a battle grew significantly more. Still, with Luna being non-confrontational, she didn't see a problem.
Her gaze snapped back to the man and she reached out her energy, wanting to get a sense of who he was. There was an air of importance surrounding him. He was someone in the city, that was for sure. Her crystal clear blue orbs ventured around to the others before she stood.
"What's good to eat around here?" The blonde woman bounced up and down a little, her pent up energy starting to get the best of her. Her stomach gave another loud growl and she slapped her hand over her leather covered stomach. Her eyes grew and her cheeks flushed from embarrassment.
Just as James got up he sensed his brother's presence. He then turned around to see Kouen. "Hey bro," he said nonchalantly. He heard him ask if he could join he and the girls. Who wouldn't want to hang out with chicks like these. Specially with a friend. One for everyone. But James knew Kouen had Lacie to think about. So why did he want to eat lunch with two hot chicks and his brother? He hoped it wasn't a form of a rescue mission from being conned out of his money and free directions. He had the situation under control, besides when two chicks ask for food and directions a man could at least be hospitable to do one or the other. He too, wanted to see how the D.Z had changed, two years is a hell of a long time. Plenty of time for changed to happen. "Alright then looks like its a table for two. Hey, Kou you know any places around everything doesn't look the same as last time." he said hoping for a yes. It was like being a kid inside of a new house for the fist time. He looked around.
"Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul."
☼☼☼
Isolde had nodded at James, the genuine excitement shined in her eyes at the thought of information about the Divine Zaibatsu, specifically the academy part of it. And at least they got to eat during the conversation, something Isolde also looked forward to. Truth be told she was actually famished, but glad. Isolde could finally at least begin to go on the road to answering what her powers actually were, and how she could train them even better than what they could be. It was the reason why she had set out so many years beforehand.
She stood up and patted down her dress, fixing the belt once more when she heard, and felt, a being walking towards them. She turned to look at the man who approached. Now for Luna, the man was tall, but Isolde was a tall woman, and at around five feet eight inches, her miles of legs allowed her two things; the first being that it added to the near sinful virtues of her voluptuous figure, and the other to not strain her neck. Isolde turned slowly to look at the man now, sharp features also under a fiery red mop of hair. Isolde's piercing blue eyes studied this new figure, however, as if on cue, the blush returned under her cheeks and even down to the parts of her exposed shoulder. However now she stood differently. With James it was a part of the payback for feasting on her with his eyes. With this new figure however, her body responded accordingly, her robes now covering more, but the peek of her leg could have easily been enough for some men
She watched as he spoke softly, and he even bowed. Whereas James had said he was a soldier, Rouen seemed to act more like it."If he wishes to join us because he wants to see these changes, then no, I do not mind at all Luna, but perhaps on one condition..." she answered simply to her, but she looked dead into the eyes of the new man, her piercing blue eyes almost seeming to search his for a moment. She walked closer to him, only stopping close enough to not hit that personal space boundary. He did not intimidate Isolde in the slightest."Could you ever be so kind as to share your name with us? I'm flattered at the compliment, but you musn't tempt me so, otherwise wouldn't it be improper? Isolde is my name, and I'd be much more please to hear my name roll off your tongue instead." she spoke with elegance and sophistication, but also with boldness. The soft purring tones came underneath of her request, but she did not break eye contact with the man.
Isolde listened to James address him as his brother, and then say about a table for two. Perhaps they would all sit at one table? She now wondered how Rouen would respond. She could feel the urge to be at least a bit sensual, whether it was shaking the man's hand, at least the one on his heart, or even daring to break the boundary of space she had provided him. Isolde decided that she would instead wait. She left the ball in his court, and for a moment, it almost felt like a game. Luna was more rambunctious and spunky, so the flirting game with James fit her personality to the T. Isolde was one for sophistication, grace, and intelligence, and for her, a challenge was always welcoming. As much as James was fun and amusing, Rouen was much more her personality, from what she gathered so far. It was then, and only then, that a soft smile graced her features, but a look of playful yet alluring mischievousness crossed her eyes for a mere moment. She would wait for Rouen's move now. She was sure that Luna would approve of her new friend's altered strategy anyway.
If anybody wouldn't have known better, then they would have thought Isolde was quite aware of her sensual personality, when in reality she wasn't. She was confident, and quite frankly, didn't care. It was who she was after all.

A shadow in the light.
A voice in the darkness.
Kimberly Sarani The Negotiator
In a world torn by war and discord, an agent of peace must rise.
Kimberly leaned against the wall of a building with a curious glance in her eyes that left her face unchanged. There were a number of things she could attribute any of this to, and not all entirely unfamiliar, but from what she could hear alone, she was by all means a stranger to this place. Some manner of organization comprised the local populace as well as the authority, which in her experience would find herself an unwelcome intrusion were she to be discovered, let alone shed of her facade of being a human. The thought was not a welcome one, but she knew her training well; even if things were to turn sour, she was nothing short of an artist when it came to an escape; she had her bases covered. Now came the hard part...
Leaning off from the wall, the half-blood looked upwards and lifted herself in what looked like a single leap to the roof of the building before producing a note from her pocket and a pen from the other, writing down a simple request before floating one of her throwing knives from her bottomless pouch and sticking it through the note such as to leave it readable. With the request prepared, she sent the note-laden knife hurdling through the air to land with a quiet shink in the ground between the people who had gathered so closely, its contents easily readable:
By any chance could one of you spare a moment for a brief inquisition?
Kimberly made no attempt to conceal herself as the one who had delivered the knife and the note, in fact had seated herself on the edge of the roof overlooking the gathering with simply the most casual appearance her otherwise dainty and showy attire could offer.
In a world where opposites so easily repel, I am trapped between these.

~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~ If you try and face me, you will know the true power of the blizzard ~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~
Blade had walked a little ways fro the tree when he noticed a somewhat large gathering of people. His eyes scanned each one and assessed them as they stood there. One of them was sitting on the rooftop and seemed to have thrown a knife at them. The two ladies on the ground were very attractive and the first thought that caught his mind was that they knew it. The one man near them seemed infatuated with their beauty and while he had to admit that they were very attractive, something about them spoke volumes. And he thought he detected a wave of power from one but that was one sense that was never very accurate. But what really caught his attention was the last man. He didn't know him personally but he had seen him before. He knew he was a very important man around here, which made him wonder what their angle was. And as for the woman on the rooftop he wondered why she sent the dagger at them. He felt a slight shift and murmur in his arms and knew the girl was still sleeping. He turned at an angle where it might be somewhat difficult to notice him watching them, but if they looked at him well enough they would see two bright pinpoints of bright blue looking back at them. His power rippled under his skin and he bit down that reaction so as not to draw attention to himself.
"I've evolved from what I once was. Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes of defeat and reclaiming its place in the never-ending sky; I will never fall. Not until the vengeance I've longed for has been sated. "
Despite his original intention of remaining generally anonymous within the gathering, it seemed Kouen's attempts were for naught. Many had instantly began to recognize the man despite his years of absence and it caused quite the reaction from the crowds of citizens surrounding the four. He had always been known for his immensely determined spirit and unbreakable will; with the full proclamation and intention of placing the Zaibatsu back into its rightful place in the world. Aiding the civilians whenever he could even before the major disaster and promising to make their worlds a safe place where they could grow old with their loved ones and watch their children mature into the adults they would soon become. The Phoenix was very well liked by the community and the notion of his return would have invoked an outright celebration of sorts. His appearance alone signified great importance within the hold even if he himself was unaware of the attention it gave him. While aware of the chattering and mumbling by those around them, his focus remained with his brother and the two beautiful mistresses before him. Introducing herself as Luna, she complimented him lightly and in a rather flirtatious manner that caused him to smile ever so slightly. Such comments always flattered him; however small and was grateful to receive them. As she extended her hand, Leonard proceeded to grip it lightly. His touch was gentle, careful not to exert too much pressure while simultaneously relaxed and natural. After shaking her hand, his eyes would narrow a small fraction of a degree once more upon sensing her intentions. Her aura, or energy per-say, began to reach out and begin to slightly flicker against his own. Caressing it in a way that was most likely meant to estimate of what or who exactly he was, he particularly saw no harm in it. If she wished to, she would gain the knowledge through his aura that his own spirit and energy was an intense blaze of never-ending flame. It's heat far surpassed anything that was most likely contained on this Earth and radiated a feeling of something ancient; a being that wielded power beyond their own time. But as she proclaimed that she was essentially hungry; Kouen did the same in a sense--a sort of silent exchange. From what he could gain visually, she dressed like one of those you would hear about in a fairy tail or comic for children. A tight-laced suit of sorts that didn't quite leave as much as to the imagination as one would think. She was very attractive; the type of woman that others would stare at in awe as she stepped passed. He could tell why James took a liking to her in particular; though the other had been quite the wonder. Though he was sure James would have answered her question of wishing for a meal, he ended up responding anyways.
" It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Madame Luna. The Divine Zaibatsu formally welcomes you to its city. If you so wish it, we may remain as I fetch us all something to eat while we converse for an extended period of time. It would be rude to leave our guests unattended nor properly treated with the respect they are entitled. "
Soon setting his eyes onto the next woman to slowly approach him, he couldn't help but notice her appearance as well. She was dressed in a scantily clad manner; though attempted to shift her clothing soon after he made his presence clear. She held the posture and overall demeanor of a formal Goddess of sorts. Most would see this as being immensely generous but this was what he could only bring up for comparison within his mind. His expression, however, did not change as she approached him and stared directly into his eyes. Quite bold; she held absolutely no other emotion within them but confidence and quite a few other things too. Kouen couldn't help but feel that this type of woman was quite sophisticated and it was only confirmed when she spoke. Her tone was soft, melodious yet grounded and mature. It truly was alluring; tempting him to draw forth like a moth to a distant flame in the lone night. She had introduced herself but wished to hear of his own name in which he would not remain simple nobody to her any longer. A gentle smile soon lit to Isolde's face, only enhancing her features. She looked quite pretty when she smiled and it was an inevitable thought that he could not suppress. But even then, his composure was maintained perfectly without the hint of a breach or compromise. Kouen recognized her intent and shift in way of speaking or tone and responded accordingly to how he saw fit.
" My apologies for not addressing nor introducing myself earlier. My name is Kouen Leonard; former soldier of the Divine Zaibatsu. It seems that a tour should wait until-- "
Sensing the arrival of yet another being in the area, the Phoenix glanced right up as the next new-comer sat. The edge of the rooftops in broad daylight. He could only wonder why she would bother for such methods when she might as well of leapt to and spoke with them personally. Already making a guess that one would only do this for either private conversation or to truly talk, Kouen directed his continued statement towards Kimberly as well. It would seem that their small discussion would have to turn into an outright full-on gathering of returning and visiting people.
" --all of the members that are joining us for our meal will come down. If you're going to insist on conversation; join us and do it personally, if you would be so kind. It is quite difficult to engage in a friendly talk when you insist on staying on the rooftop. We may speak on the answers or knowledge you wish to gain as we all indulge on some quality cuisine. "
Looking over to James, finally, he merely nodded before responding to his questions. It was clear they would not be leaving the area for a bit of time so they needed to get proper meals prepared. Knowing James was well up to the easy task for someone such as himself, he gestured towards the tables available to the others that stood before him.
" It seems we will indeed need a table for five. If you could provide this; you would have my thanks, James. Either I could go and bring the meal required or you may have the honor. It makes no difference to me. As for the Zaibatsu...I, unfortunately, am unaware. The Zaibatsu has changed so immensely that if I were to guess; everything has gone through some stage of change. It's up to us to find out exactly what with our own investigations. "
" The Zaibatsu and the family I've made within are all I have left. They have shared my joys and my sorrows. I will not allow any harm to befall them. If you try to lay but a finger on their being, I won't hesitate to send you to the Void itself. " "

A shadow in the light.
A voice in the darkness.
Kimberly Sarani The Negotiator
In a world torn by war and discord, an agent of peace must rise.
Had it not been for Kimberly's somewhat heightened sense of hearing, she never would have heard the invitation to join those she had made to garner the attention of, but with the response in mind, she couldn't help but notice a dull pounding in her ears - but by none of those she had directed the note for. As she slid off the roof, a sky-blue glow wrapped around her figure as she guided herself harmlessly to the ground and looked in the direction of the one heightened heartbeat she could find - and found herself staring for a moment into Blade's almost icy visage. After a second more, she reorganized her priorities based on what the red-robed man had said. Honestly speaking, it was a generous offer, but it left a lot of implications that left the half-blood concerned.
Focus, Kimberly reminded herself as she strode forward, the glow fading quickly from her figure. She had her mission, and she had quite a while to see it through. Whoever these people were, she was on their terms now. Bearing this in mind, she arranged a mental list of things she would have to do, the foremost among them to barter for the information she needed. If the first step in that was to sit down and eat with such comely fellows as she had drawn the attention of, she was all for it - though in the back of her mind, she noted to trade a few words with the man who had taken more severe note of her dispositioned greeting. Set apart from the rest, watchful and even the slightest bit preoccupied by his gesture. Yes, he would be perfect...
"Sorry for the rude entrance." She giggled, her voice almost childlike which betrayed an almost carefree manner despite her early-twenties figure. "But how could I possibly say 'no' to such an offer, mister er..?" She paused for a moment and cocked her head slightly at Rouen, before the words of all too many people echoed through her head. It is polite to introduce yourself before asking that of others.
"Oh, where are my manners?" The girl giggled again, taking a half-step back and dropping into a graceful curtsy at the knees, her attention broadened to the four of them. "The name's Kimberly - and er, who might you all be?"
In a world where opposites so easily repel, I am trapped between them.
In the midst of conversation, an admin appeared over a building roof looking down at Kouen and James. "Kouen and James. You are to report to the CEO in his office immediately." He stood up as he vanished in the midst of sound waves. "Do not keep our CEO waiting..."

Just as James was about to suggest what to do for lunch he heard he and Kouen's name being called telling him to report to the CEO office. He quickly turned his head to the direct of which it came from and saw no one. "Well how about, that. Looks like we're in for trouble now Kouen. Let's go." he said turning to his brother. Looks like they're absence finally caught up to them. Two years is a long time after all. As he was about to start walking toward the direction of the office he stopped and remembered the girls and the lunch. He pulled out enough money for a meal for them both and handed it to Luna. "Sorry ladies, maybe some other time, but duty calls." he said giving a simple smile.
"Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul."
☼☼☼
Hearing his name now, Isolde's face now held a calm demeanor, though a part of her still studied him. Was he trying to stay anonymous in the area? She could only wonder. For most people, hearing that name meant that they were watching somebody important. For Isolde, she could even sense that there was a sort of subdued power. He was refined like a phoenix, but that did not scare her. The earth was much bigger than a phoenix after all. He hadn't spoken for a bit before he introduced himself. Was he studying her? If so, then she would allow it, maybe let her visage sear into his mind for those moments, and maybe moments after that. He hadn't even broken, not even a little bit, and for that she was impressed, but not surprised.
But at least even when he spoke, the look of recognition or familiarity did not cross her face. To her, he was nothing more than what he had spoken. A former Divine Zaibatsu soldier. For now he just remained a man, quite a handsome one at that, with defined chiseled features under a fiery mop of red hair. And for now, unless their paths were to cross again, that is all he might ever be to her. Did that matter to her? Partially; after all, after his younger brother practically feasting his eyes on them, she felt a dinner to be a superb trade. However, would she play with the thought of their paths crossing once more? Perhaps so.
She could almost feel the earth be pierced by the knife thrown. Only then she broke eye contact, looking at the ground where the knife's blade lay deep. It was then Isolde pointed a gentle finger and almost made a 'come hither' motion to the ground. Immediately, the ground between the cobblestone bent towards her way, the knife was released from it's shallow earthen grave and was delivered gently into the hands of Isolde from mother earth herself. With a motion that looked like she was pushing a button, the sandy earth packed itself back in between the cobblestone. Mat Zemlya, her staff, glowed softly on her back, and she unknowingly, for a moment, looked like the goddess perhaps some men in her saw. But whether this man saw that visage was none of Isolde's concern. She looked now to the girl named Kimberly, gently putting the knife flat at her feet. She was not one to intrude on personal space."Please, you must be a bit more gentle with the earth." she said softly. Her tone however was calm and kind. She understood that sometimes, people didn't quite understand the ramifications of their actions.
Isolde turned her eyes back on Kouen, but before she could speak to him again she could hear almost like an announcement being made. She looked up over the building but by the time she looked, whoever the announcer was had long left. She looked back over at James and gave a soft, wistful smile. Then perhaps she wouldn't be getting her information on how to join the Academy to train. However, she felt that she would let Luna talk with James instead, knowing what exactly to say. Isolde turned her teal eyes back to Kouen's once more. It was only then that her sensual side broke out a bit. Isolde couldn't help it. Had he not carried himself with such an air she would have grabbed his hand by now. She had reached out, and without even touching his face, moved a stray hair back to its original spot ontop of his head. Her touch was so light, perhaps it would leave him with a want or a need for more. And perhaps not. "You must not meet this CEO while looking a mess. It is... quite unfortunate that you and your brother cannot join us for this dinner then. I was hoping to join the Divine Zaibatsu myself. I have no information on even where to start."she told him."But perhaps, should you, your CEO, or the fates allow it, perhaps if we cross paths again, you could tell me what to do and where to go?" she asked him. However, a look of concern had crossed her face when his brother had mentioned trouble. What had happened? She couldn't imagine these two even doing remotely anything against the law.
She realized then that this may be the only chance she had to convince him to not just let the fates guide all of their paths back together, and she had a way of doing so that maybe, would plant the seed into his mind. Isolde thought carefully, as she could tell he did the same, calculate answers. "Perhaps after this meeting, I would not mind asking you for the answers I seek, again should the fates allow. Or at least, the new questions I have now regarding how to join the Academy here and more. It does not have to be over dinner, Kouen." she said to him softly but boldly. On pronouncing his name she had done so in a way that some men would have melted over, that hint of playfulness, that touch of longing, mixed in with her sophistication, and it could be quite deadly. But she wasn't quite sure if he would show that, or even if he thought that.
Nevertheless she waited for their answers now. She had planted those small seeds of suggestion, the most important one being for another chance encounter, and weather or not it would grow would be up to his mind to decide for himself.

Blade felt the girl stir in his arms. She was very light to him so it didnt faze him at all. He finally broke eye contact with the strangers to look at the little girl in his arms. She rubbed her eyes sleepily and smiled at him warmly. He smiled back lightly, briefly. He then set her down lightly and she strethed. "Thanks for carrying me." He pet her head softly and smiled lightly. "Anytime...but little one, you should go on home now." He felt a slight quiver of the old feeling. The old pulse that he always held for a fight. But he didnt want her around if anything came out, especially if the other came out. She frowned at him and tilted her head. "But...will you be alright?" Even though he didnt say much, he was more of a father to her then even her adopted father. Blade nodded to her and petted her one last time. She giggled and kissed his cheek before she ran back home. Blade watched her leave and for a moment he imagined the town as it had been when it was attacked. The destruction and mayhem, once again the pulse hit him and he gritted his teeth. Standing up he moved in a fluid motion that not many would notice easily. He pierced his own skin and held the ice sliver there. The pain that it made brought the ebb down from the pulse and Blade sighed inaudibly. He had always had to fight his own impulses, but then again with the whole training he had been put through, it wasnt surprising. His hand gripped the hilt of his sword as he looked back at the small group of people. Two women that used their sex appeal as weapons, whether or not they realized it, one woman who used agility and stealth, a possible naive man who seemed to hold some position of authority and the other man...well he knew him already from passerby. His cold eyes watched them for a second over the wrap covering his face.
"I've evolved from what I once was. Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes of defeat and reclaiming its place in the never-ending sky; I will never fall. Not until the vengeance I've longed for has been sated. "
While preparing to engage in further conversation with the strangers; Kouen could only lightly chuckle when tracked down by the Zaibatsu Admin. It seemed that the time to fess up to their crime had finally arrived. Jamarr and Kouen had been dodging not only Doma Soldiers, but Zaibatsu as well in their bid to become even stronger and as a result; had branded themselves technical traitors. While Lacie had explained to him in detail that she had covered their escape to nearly all; the Phoenix would have to be a fool to think that all of the Higher-Ups would have been tricked so easily. And a fool was the very thing that he was the farthest from in terms of mental intelligence. Rising from his seat without hesitation, he was willing to accept whatever fate had in store for them. If possible; he would outright ask to take the full brunt of the punishment rather then have James suffer alongside him. It wouldn't be right seeing as it was his idea to leave the Zaibatsu in the first place. If anyone deserved to be punished for traitorous actions, it was him. But as he rose to leave, Isolde stepped far closer. As she reached out and brushed a lone strand of hair back into place, her soft words attempted to entice him; perhaps for a separate meeting of sorts? While Kouen would have indeed been satisfied aiding and guiding this new possible member into the organization; her attempts with playing with his emotions like she would to a common man she wished to manipulate had not gone unnoticed by the former Zaibatsu Soldier. Nonetheless, he could not help but respond with a similar tone; formal and smooth, as if speaking to somebody of great importance. Which, in his eyes, he was. For a new member would always be a valuable and much-needed addition to the Zaibatsu in their desperate attempt to level the playing field in their war against The Doma.
" I do indeed regret that our meeting had to be shortened, but alas; this is simply how it must be. James and I committed a crime and it is our responsibility to own up to them. The laws of the Zaibatsu are harsh, necessarily so, so I cannot guarantee the both of us will be available for later depending on the severity of punishment we are delivered. But if I can, I will seek you out to aid you in however possible to answer your questions if you will allow me to do at the time. Once again, it was a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Miss Isolde. I thank you for your kind words and do hope you come to enjoy our hospitality and anything else we may offer to you. "
Turning his attention to James as he proceeded to walk over, excusing himself after promising Isolde and Luna that he would aid them in however he could and meet with them later. It was time. Fear hadn't gripped Kouen like it would have two years ago if they had done the same thing. He was far more relieved, relaxed...finally. Closure on the inevitable issue that would have arisen since they first stepped foot outside the walls of the Zaibatsu. Regretting that he would not be able to speak with the rest of the newer members or strangers; he would just have to make the prediction that they would all encounter one another at a late point in time. Leaving with his brother, he spoke to him before doing so. [Exit]
" Indeed. It's time to face the repercussions of our actions. Heh. What irony this is, is it not? Come. We'll have much to discuss in the little time and we cannot keep Lord Xenon waiting. "
" The Zaibatsu and the family I've made within are all I have left. They have shared my joys and my sorrows. I will not allow any harm to befall them. If you try to lay but a finger on their being, I won't hesitate to send you to the Void itself. " "
