Suddenly, Malodore's phone buzzed. It was so mundane, so normal in the face of the forest going up in flames that the plague doctor was momentarily confused. How could anything so ordinary as phones dare to function at a time like this?

A moment later, it was very glad the phone had dared.



Its head snapped up. "Infermiera - Secretary, they're in Nurse Cricket's office. Mi dispiace, I have to go-"

Without any other explanation, the plague doctor turned towards the campus and began to run, wings jangling discordantly with every step.

It wasn’t until the fires died down a little, or at least flickered and flared less that he noticed the kitsune before him. He’s been flustered by the things that just occurred, the disappearances and the fire. Now, he was just flushed, or greened in his case. Being dead, he appreciates things in life a lot more; besides paintings, he pursues the graces of women, or their fury.

The slimer wanted to reach out, but instead just took a few steps closer to her, this wasn’t really the time to do this, “Hi-“
