Rocket Agent Aila

PostPosted: Fri Nov 11, 2011 10:58 pm

"Don't give me that," she snapped, her tone surprisingly venomous. "There are a lot of things I'll tolerate, Izaya, but--"

Oh Arceus, the Shaymin. Aila instinctively placed herself between the ensuing explosion and the injured Rocket, abandoning the very thought of first aid, pushing the Spinarak between them for his protection, and curling defensively around both of her charges in an effort to shield them.

Izaya stiffened at Aila's tone. He didn't want to hear this right now; he wanted her to go. As it was, her words were almost drowned out by the sound around them - at least until it was cut off completely.

When a piercing pokemon's cry inturrupted the young woman, the informer glanced up with wide eyes, but frustratingly, his vision was blocked by his protector. What was happening?

The ensuing explosion scattered pieces of the walkway, the resulting shrapnel finding its way into Aila's body. She winced painfully but refused to move; compared to the rest of the team, she had taken pitifully little damage thus far and could afford to bear the brunt for two.

"Aila? Aila! What happened?" his hoarse voice asked desperately, an uncharacteristic panic creeping into his tone.

"Nng." The explosion subsided, the metal shards settled - but the legendaries still rampaged. "Party ended," she answered vaguely, readjusting her posture carefully away from Izaya. When all was said and done, she'd gotten off pretty easily: Having metal under one's skin was far from comfortable, but at least it closed its own wound and prevented bleeding. Moving uncharacteristically slowly given their circumstances, Aila pulled partway to her feet, offering one hand to the other Rocket and reaching for a pair of pokeballs with the other. "Can you stand?"

"Can you?" the grunt asked curtly in response, pushing himself up. Yes, he could stand; he was just a little wobbly and light-headed was all. Not light-headed enough to forget they had to get out, though. Or realize that something major had just happened and Aila was keeping it from him. "What do you mean, 'party ended'? What was that? I thought I heard a pokemon."

Ignoring the cut in his side, Izaya slung one of Aila's arms over his shoulders and attempted to half-carry, half-walk them out of there.

As if in spite, Aila pointedly rose to her full height, though not without a grimace as the hand wielding the pokeballs went to her side. She was more than capable of walking, though, and she made sure that her posture reflected that. "You heard a lot of pokemon," she replied. "One of them was a Shaymin exploding. Others were various legendaries raining down hellfire on us. We need to get out. Now."

She promptly refused his move to assist her, "I don't think so. You're in worse shape than me." She said this distinctly unaware of the growing pallor of her complexion. The release switch of one of the pokeballs was pressed, Charmant forward once more. Aila pointed to the fire dog, "Close your mouth and get on the Arcanine. She can carry us both if that's what you're worried about."

"That Shaymin was the closest, though...and I saw it earlier on Deimos' shoulder," Izaya shot back. He agreed with her last statement, however, and hurried as best he could. His legs ached, perhaps from the fall. "I'm fine," he insisted irritably. "And who's the older one here? Who's the fairer sex?" It wasn't clear if it was meant to be a joke or not, but the way he put it just then, it didn't sound like that. "You just took the brunt of an explosion for me and your Spinerak, whom you also put in danger for my sake.. Do you have any idea how weak that makes me look?"

Even as he got on the pink fire-type, he was still ranting and raving about how idiotic Aila was acting for an agent and that she shouldn't have been given such power at such a young age with her hormones all out of balance.

"Shut up," she snapped suddenly when Izaya continued to berate her. "Please. This isn't the time. Shout at me all you want when we're back home." She recalled Mise into the other pokeball in her hand and belted both of the spheres. With a word from her trainer, Charmant started towards the exit. Just get out of there. That was what was important right now, and that was what she was going to do.

Unused to his young recruiter reacting in such a manner, the flustered and distraught grunt did as he was told for once and shut his mouth. Just until they got back to base. 'Home' as she called it. The teenager was really getting deluded really getting deluded with her view of the world to call the base of a criminal organization 'home' and to call Izaya 'friend'.

The very building was shaking, which wasn't making the crumbling walkway any easier to traverse...as if Sierra needed added difficulties. She was making slow headway, and if she'd been any deeper into the facility, she probably never would have had hope of making it out alive. Crumbling ceiling was falling around her and when a particularly large piece hit the walkway nearby, shaking it, her already weakened balanced failed her. She started to stumble forward, bracing to catch herself...when someone took her by the arm.

She blinked, looking over to see Agent Faleen at her side. She didn't need to say anything, the urgency was thick in the air. As was fire. And falling rock. Sierra nodded in thanks to Aki and her own Pokemon, her Eeveelution guard flanking her and the Agent, as she leaned gratefully on Faleen's shoulder. "Thanks," she muttered, saving the rest of her breath for getting the heck out of here as fast as possible. She could be in pain and complain later.

Well, they were fine then.
Good. Palu seemed agitated to see Swiftwing being a shield but as the two trainers were carried away and Panther returned his pokemon, she was relieved.
... But now they had to get out of there.

Tambrey was going as fast as she could but the wound to her side was growing painful again and she was tired.
The adrenaline she'd been feeling had been ebbing away, though the state of her surroundings did wonders to motivate her.
As shards of metal and ice and all sorts were flying from legendaries' attacks (including one exploding hedgehog), she obtained more scratches, more future scars.
She managed to avoid the worst of it, though splintered slithers found a home in her back as she moved.
This wasn't fast enough.
This would hurt, but it was sure to be faster and the reason she'd kept Lasi and Palu out.
She put her arms up and the bird took hold. Lasi flew along behind them, attempting to be a bat-like umbrella-shield.
Tambrey let out a pained noise as she was lifted; it might be fast but it was torture on her wounds. Her arm and side both burned as she was carried along.
Palu may not have known 'fly', but this awkward drag/carrying would do for a short trip out of the collapsing building.

A string of Spanish curses zigzagged through his brain as he hurriedly recalled Clyde from his shoulder. He lifted Bonnie's pokeball as well, bright green eyes frantically scanning the catwalks to fi--there! He raised it, recalling her just as she jumped off it. The legendaries were loose and the huge behemoth of a building was getting shot all to hell as powerful attacks flew and chunks of the ceiling started falling. Briefly he realized, had he not been in mortal danger, he would've appreciated the legendaries and how powerful they were, and possibly that he was in the presence of freaking legendaries, man. Unfortunately, however, he was in mortal danger and they needed to get the hell out of there.

The order from Kunai - before she was shot to hell from the blue legendary dog - made him halt before he even started running towards the door. Holy s**t, they needed to get out of there now. He paused to scan for anyone nearby to help since he wasn't injured - though how that miracle happened, he had no idea - but most everybody seemed to have at least one person that could help them. His green eyes locked onto Aila and Izaya just as the former shielded the latter from what appeared to be nothing -- no, it was a pokemon. A tiny one.. was that a legendary too? It was so small and gr--was it a grass-type? The last thought was positive until the tiny legend freaking exploded. Another few Hispanic curses shot through his head, but it looked like Aila and Izaya would be fine on Charmant. Everybody else seemed to be alright - or at least, with someone who could help - so he just starte--oh, Tambrey! Was that Tambrey? He thought so, and the poor girl was being dragged by her Pidgeotto. The grunt dashed over as the bird took off, hoping to intercept them before they got too far. The other grunt didn't look like she was in very good shape anyway. "Tambrey! Are you okay, do you need help?" Yeah, that didn't look like a good idea at all, so he offered his arms. At the moment he didn't really know what to do except get everyone out, so his brain wasn't really working too well. "Here, let me help. I can carry you," he offered, though after a short pause he realized the girl quite possibly wouldn't be interested in that option, so he quickly added, "or you could ride Leilani."

The bat paused first and fluttered in place as Palu then turned around.
Tambrey was confused at first, but then saw it was Inigo who had called out and was... offering to carry her.
A rather confused expression crossed her face; that didn't sound good for him. She'd slow him down, she was sure, though that was surprisingly sweet a thing to offer.
"Um... I," Her attempt at protesting got that far before Palu dumped her onto the floor.
She looked up, the bird looked back with an expression that Tambrey hadn't seen for quite a while; the 'no, I will not let you take my bowl away' look from her younger days.
"I, um, actually guess I would like that very much, thankyou." She finished with, remembering to add "Um, to ride on Leilani."
~
"Okay," he said, then after a short pause he realized he had to let Leilani back out before Tambrey could ride her. "Oh, oh hold on," he said, hurriedly fumbling for the pokeball to release her. "Lo siento. Ah, here." As the white light faded he'd already clipped the ball back to his belt and was helping Tambrey up onto the Meganium's back. The grass-type crooned worriedly, peering at everything. While she didn't fully realize what was going on, but she understood that she needed to give this girl a ride.
~
The two flying types actually waited, keeping an eye on the chaos, as Inigo helped Tambrey onto the Meganium and then they kept pace as the little group went to escape. They'd refuse to go into their balls until they were out and Leilani went back to hers.

Larger and larger segments of the building started collapsing around the team. Soon the facility would be reduced to a pile of rubble. As gaping holes opened up in the walls some of the rampaging legendaries started to escape. The Rockets who made it back to the doors would find the pathway back outside thankfully still clear. The yanmega jet was undamaged, waiting where they'd left it near the smaller black jet.

When the dust from Andre's explosion cleared, the little pokemon had already moved on, trying to chase down another victim. He gave a yelp as a large block of rubble landed in his path. He looked up just in time to dodge another. "Shay.." As much as he wanted to kill every last one of the filthy Rockets, the time for battle was swiftly running out. He spotted Bandit pursuing one of the disgusting humans and shouted at him, "SHAYMIN!" It was time to go. After casting one last glance at the retreating group, he turned and hurried back toward Deimos.

The Galactic boss was still standing tensely and glaring daggers at the retreating team, cheeks red and damp with tears. He'd never wanted to cause harm to other living beings so much in his life.

All those years of work, unraveling..

For a moment, Tethys was caught up in watching the hypnotic cascade of exploding orbs, and then a chunk of ceiling the size of her Starmie started to fall and was deflected by her Bronzong with a loud 'BONG,' while the rest of her Pokemon started to make their way back.

"Sir-" Her voice caught in her throat. "We have to go."

Rocket Agent Faleen

PostPosted: Sat Nov 12, 2011 12:23 am

Faleen glanced down to the Grunt she was helping when she was thanked, nodding softly, with a gentle smile, but otherwise just trying to concentrate on just keep moving.

There wasn't any stopping until they reached the clearing,
Faleen's eyebrows arched, and smiled seeing that both of the jets were still there. Perfect.

Faleen made her way over to it, her goal was to get Sierra up into the mech, and sat down were she could be off of her feet then moved to the controls in order to get the mech ready to lift off once the others arrived, There was no way they were going to linger here longer then they had to.
She knew Panther was in bad condition, so she was going to have to take the controls.
Not that she AT ALL had a problem with this.

She was going through the controls, making sure everything was in order and set right.
Though as her eyes drifted up, they locked the black jet sitting in the same clearing, She slowed her movements, frowning softly as her eyes narrowed... considering something.
"I'm locating the weapons systems..."
She said to the other Rockets on board. not that that was very hard, Deimos' design were very self explanatory. Nothing like the helicopters she had trained in with Seth.

With Faleen's help, Sierra was able to move at a much quicker pace, though the throbbing pain made her feel like she was moving through a haze. She likely had other secondary injuries, to be honest, but her torn leg was taking up all her attention at the moment. She had just enough of an adrenaline rush left to make it into the Yanmega mech before collapsing weakly onto the floor. No time to even bother with finding an actual seat. Floor was good enough.

She nodded once more in thanks to Faleen, who was already off towards the cockpit, then dropped her head back against the wall with a dull thud. Ow. Khalon and Layla were still at her side, as was Aki, and she gave each of her 'escorts' a grateful head scratch. "Thanks, all of you, too," she murmured, eyes unfocused as she stared at a spot somewhere between the wall and the ceiling of the mech. The tourniquet had done its work, slowing the blood flow to the gunshot wound, even while she struggled to get out of the collapsing building. Now at least, she could rest, maybe prop it up on something...or what did you do with this after a tourniquet and before hospital care? She couldn't remember, if she ever really knew at all. Everything seemed so hazy. Must be the blood loss.

Khalon watched his human with concern, but seemed to reach the conclusion that she'd be alright, if they could just get her some extra care as soon as possible. Layla curled up next to Sierra, resting her head on the human's uninjured leg. Sierra's hand automatically went to the Eevee's head, though she'd closed her eyes to rest from her ordeal. The Umbreon meanwhile padded off, returning shortly pushing a short box with his head. He bumped lightly against Sierra's foot, causing her to look down, then smile wondering if he was psychic. She lifted her leg with both hands, cringing at the effort, then he pushed the box beneath her foot. With her leg now elevated slightly, she sank back again with a groan.

What a day.

Inigo ran along beside Leilani as she hurried out the door and across the grass - her gait surprisingly smooth despite her stocky build and short limbs - and a pair of equally relieved grins spread across both of their faces. The mech was still there! Inigo was infinitely glad to be safe and out of the collapsing building, though how he made it out completely unscathed was a total mystery him (not that he was complaining), so when they arrived at the mech he helped Tambrey in before recalling Leilani. When Tambrey had found somewhere to sit, he returned to the door to aid anybody in who needed help.

As they hauled it out of there, Luxury looked around and was relieved to see everyone was making their way as well. Some by flight, some by dog, they were getting out quickly. Thank heavens they were getting out quickly.

Making their way through the rest of the circular building wasn't hard, the outer layer had yet to be attacked and so it wasn't falling down around them. By the time they got outside, tears were streaking Luxury's cheeks. Her ankle hurt, really freaking bad. She could feel the heat of blood, the beat of her heart, and she knew there was broken bone underneath her boot.

Though this was not his first time so close to an arcanine, he never before had he ridden one. Noishii was smooth under them, but with every bound it sent a shot of pain though his body. In different circumstances he would have enjoyed it, now though he held on to luxury, though whether to hold her on or keep himself from falling off, he wasn't sure.

Once outside, Nioshii nearly stopped dead. What the- ... Oh yeah, the plane was funny looking. Luckily for his riders his stride never faltered. He got them to the Yanmega swiftly, and stopped as smoothly as he could. Luxury released her hold on Nioshii's fur, and slid off, landing on her side. That ankle hurt like no other. Her breathing was coming harder now, but she quickly remembered she needed to help Panther and she picked herself off the ground, reaching up with one hand to help him and one hand to stable them both on Nioshii's side.

When they stopped, he slowly slid after her, and his ribs gave another groan of protest. For a moment he stood simply trying to keep his breath before turning to luxury. Something computed as wrong in his head. “Are you hurt?” He should have asked her before this. His hand gripped white fur keeping him steady, and it seemed he could manage. He hurt, but he could walk. But his mind whirled trying to figure out what was wrong with the girl who had just saved his a**.

The grunt shook her head. "Ankle. I'm fine. Come on, we need to get you on that plane."

"Ankle? Is it broken?" That fall had been pretty bad.

Taking a deep breath, she nodded. "Yeah. It's broken. But I'll be ok." Still keeping a hand on Nioshii, she tried to move the Agent towards the Yanmega.

"I can walk, I hurt, but I can walk. You can't, here, lean on me and return him."

She shook her head again, thought better of it, and let go of Nioshii's fur. "Ok. Ok, but as soon as we are on that thing you lay down!" She allowed Panther to help her, and returned the dog like he told her to. She hated needing help. Hated it. But, at the moment, what choice did she have? In the long run, the Agent had sustained more damage, and would take longer to heal and be at risk for pneumonia, but at the current moment he was in better shape to move than her. Gently, she rested a hand on his chest as she leaned on him, hoping to maybe keep his ribs steady as they made their way on board.

He was relieved that she complied, and walked her into the plane, making no comment to her telling him to lay down he had a job to do. Just as he got the stubborn girl in he spotted that Faleen had already taken the pilot’s seat. He walked her over to one of the closer seats to the front and then walked over to Faleen. “Do you think you can drive this thing?” Had this been a normal vehicle he would have told her to get up. But if she could take off, he could walk her through anything she needed help with, and take over for landing.

Luxury was just about to make him sit when he walked off. That stubborn male! Didn't he know he needed to rest?! With a heavy sigh, she sank into one of the seats and popped out Trae. "Get a medical kit, would ya?" She asked weakly. She'd deal with Panther in a minute. With Faleen there first, she knew he'd never get the controls.

Rocket Agent Aila

PostPosted: Sat Nov 12, 2011 1:07 am

A distinct sense of foreboding carried the Arcanine forward and out of the facility. She paused briefly to readjust to the outdoor light before proceeding up and into the Yanmega that they had earlier commandeered. Aila didn't wait long before dismounting from the fire dog, though she lingered at the Arcanine's side long enough to expel a long, pained breath. "Okay," she said at length. "Are you all right? I couldn't finish treating that wound earlier..."

The words that had been filling Izaya's head spilled from his mouth as soon as he was expected to speak. "My stupid cut's already been treated once. I don't even know what happened to you," he hissed, perhaps the agony in his side causing him to speak more sharply than intended. "Get yourself treated first!"

"I'll be treated properly in the infirmary when we get back," she retaliated; her own tone was firm if not obviously strained. "If it's really that important, I'm dealing with shrapnel wounds. They don't bleed much and require sterile equipment to safely treat." She was tired, her face pale and brow misted with the beginnings of a light sweat. "Would you please at least let me make sure the bleeding's stopped?"

"The blood's been draining from your face ever since that explosion," Izaya said, suddenly dead serious as he reached out a hand. Delicately, he attempted to tuck a few stray locks of the agent's hair behind her ear in order to get a better look at her face. "Only unlike my wound, I can't see where it's gone." He frowned. "You're getting really pale. What's in the first aid kit?" Was there anything for internal bleeding...? Not likely, considering this required far more than first aid...

It was difficult to focus on what he was saying in her efforts to not let the pain of the wounds get to her disposition, and she hardly noticed the hand at her face until she realized the passing touch at her ear. She raised her hand slightly to push away Izaya's, shaking her head, "No supplies to perform an operation, that's for certain," she replied irritably. "Just take a seat already. I've dealt with worse than a few pieces of metal." Though she was indescribably glad that they didn't have to deal with the escaped Ho-Oh; the first encounter had been more than enough.

"I don't care what you've delt with; we're dealing with this now. I don't like what I'm seeing. Turn around and let me see what happened." Though he was no doctor himself, one of the very few people he'd been close to in high school besides Shizuo was an underground doctor. Shinra had patched him up enough times for Izaya to have learned a thing or two from him, and he knew by now how to identify a person in urgent need of medical assistance.

The worst part was that Izaya knew Aila was right. There were no supplies to perform an operation. Still, he had to know how bad the damage was - and if she would make it the rest of the way to the base on what few kits they had.

She was suddenly inexplicably angry at it all, and this blatantly manifested in her voice, "Fine! If you want to be difficult then go ahead! Go be combative and standoffish to someone else!" She breathed a few shuddering breaths, her composure draining from the sudden shouting, and moved to seat herself. The Arcanine followed, curling protectively around her wounded trainer and acting as a comfort into which she could recline.

"Turn around, Aila."

She pointedly ignored him, resting against Charmant's pink warmth with an expression of sheer defiance.

As Aila and Izaya passed by him on their way into the jet, Inigo couldn't help but notice their bickering, first of all, and secondly how pale Aila was. He watched with a mild frown on his face as the pair eventually separated, and the agent took a seat with Charmant. The frown deepened slightly as he moved over, peering down at her with a mixture of concern, mild confusion and more concern evident on his face. "You okay? I saw something explode near you guys, what was it?" What looked like a tiny grass-type legendary that could explode. It would've been the best legendary ever except for the fact it could blow stuff up.

People were starting to file into the mech again. Mai, Mau's venusaur, was standing by to help lift the injured inside as needed. With Nyx as stable as the medical supplies at their disposal would allow, Mau turned his attention to Faleen and Sierra as they entered. He gave Faleen a faint nod as she passed him going to the cockpit. "Welcome aboard, captain." He said softly, moving towards Sierra as she slumped against the wall.

Aki was looking at the woman with worry, but gave a happy croon when she pet him. He lived for affection, and gently rubbed against her arm. She'd be ok, right? Right. Of course she would. Mau knelt beside Sierra a moment. "Will you be alright there?" There. On the floor. Her leg looked pretty bad, but someone had the presence of mind to try stop the bleeding. He couldn't help but inspect it. "Sorry about this." He said, gently touching near the wound. Trying to see if the bullet had gotten lodged inside or not. His brow furrowed a little. He reached for where some of the medical supplies were. "Going to clean it a little, and give you fresh bandages." Hopefully that would be enough until they got back to Kodo.

When Inigo and Tambrey entered, Mau glanced at them. He was glad to see more coming in, some safely. He looked at Tambrey. She seemed hurt, but Inigo didn't. "Think you'll be able to give me a hand when we're all on board? He asked as he started to work on Sierra's leg.

With the lucario not giving chase, Ire and Maxwell returned to the mech as well. Ire hopped in easily, and Mau barely glanced at her before asking her to bring him some boxes, and Nyx's pokeballs. Mau recalled the Aggron, and Ire was put to work.

Hearing a cry for a medical kit, Ire looked at Luxury and Trae "Jolt." She pawed at a box, indicating to the pokemon what the human probably needed.

Mau heard Aila and one of the males he didn't know. Aila was pissed, that was easy to tell. Arceus did they need more hands. Just getting everyone to survive was going to take everything the uninjured rockets had, he was sure. "You two going to be alright for a few minutes?"

"I'm fine," she replied sharply; her irritation had not quite ebbed and she was still quite tired with people being concerned about her. As she continued, however, her tone softened, due at least in part to the change in subject, "It was a Shaymin. Grass-type. The attack was Seed Flare. We've suffered a lot of casualties from it in the past. It's not a good thing." She winced slightly as a deep breath shifted her person just enough to aggravate the embedded shrapnel.

"I said I'm fine," she snapped at Mau's comment. She was getting tired of the question.

Faleen glanced over at Panther when the other Agent stepped over to her and asked her the question.
She tilted her head, she was aware Panther was in the piloting department, He was specialty at this, But Faleen had also been aware of the fact that he was having trouble standing... or even moving for that fact.
He seemed to understand this fact as well, and was thus, in a way, finding an alternate pilot.

"I can fly it, yes." She replied, very casually.
This was more of a mech then it was a plane, and this flight system was to the point that it was elementary.
This didn't surprise her, considering the mental state its creator seemed to constantly be in.

Looking back to the consul displays, tapping her fingers over the screens as she searched for what she was looking for.
"... Hm," Laser guided Sharpedo missiles.
Faleen arched her eyebrows at the display, showing the number and layout of the weapons this mech had.
"This will do." She muttered to herself, before turning to look at the others entering and getting settled in the jet.

There were a lot of injured, lots of blood.
She blinked as Mau was passed, and he made a comment about her being captain, she smiled lightly at this.
This didn't last long though when Aila suddenly stepped at Mau,

"Alright.... its been a long mission, once we get settled we can get back to HQ and get everyone treated." Faleen said, loud enough to be heard, but remaining calm and defuse things a little.
