He declares to her as he flex his claws. Making it a point to have each of the pointy ends held upwards where she could see each ...deadly one. Then since his speed was fastest he would do a hop skip before starting forward.
This wasn't even a match in his book as he starts off using scratch. The moment he was close ...he would take one of those claws and aim them upwards at her chest and the second claw he would aim down at her feet as he actually spun at the end of the move. A quick sweeping of claws that were design to make an opponent either jump backwards, or take the first swipe .....and with that in place in the air ...an opponent couldn't dodge as well. So the second swipe to the legs would literally drop that pokemon to the earth where he could easily savage it.
This is a pokemon that is used to playing dirty.

Jason walked into the battle room with his Growlithe, Choco, tailing behind him. He looked around the room and saw that there was already a battle going on and it looked like it had just begun. The only thing that he was thinking was that to continue he was going to have win a battle in this place and it was just what he was planning on doing.

A voice would chime in then ...declaring quite mechanically.
"Welcome to the battle arena, because we can begin. I need to know whether or not you will be battling today or taking the tutorials instead."
The voice declares as drone as possible. A voice that boomed all around, but seemed to be coming from no where at all. The mystery of the Battle Room.

Jason was startle by the sudden voice. He looked around the room trying to figure out where the voice was coming from. Eventually he gave up and began to think about whether he wanted to take the tutorials or go for the battle.
He came to the decision that he would take on the real battle. It was an easy decision considering that it was what he loved to do.
"I'll take the real battle!" He shouted out, wondering whether or not whoever was talking was able to here him.

"Have your pokemon drink the potion and you shall begin."
The voice responded to his answer ...as a shimmer to the right would reveal the potion on the floor, and a shimmer to his left would have his opponent stepping quite literally out of nowhere. It drew one paw on the dojo's ground as it turns to face him with it's teeth bared.
This would be a fight with a pokemon that wasn't weak to his pokemon's flames as the Sandshrew drew her tail across the ground. She was more than ready for this match.

Jason walked over the potion the had appeared out of nowhere and picked up. He kneeled down next to Choco and gave him the potion. Choco licked his lips, growled and waited for his trainer to send him to battle.
"Ok Choco, this is it. You're up"Jason told Choco.
Choco stepped forward and took on his battle stance and waited for his orders on what to do next.

The two pokemon's speed were equal so he didn't have to wait long as she came forward with her big digging claws pulled behind her. She charged forward as she came at her opponent and drew one of those claws forward as she scratches once at the chest of the Growlithe and then a second time with her other claw towards his face.
She was literally going to tear this one a new one.

"Here she comes Choco. Just wait for my orders." Jason calmly told Choco.
Choco stood his ground awaiting for his trainer's orders and watched as the Sandshrew charged at him. At the last second Jason called out "Ok get out of the way!"
Jason didn't have to tell him twice as he rolled over to his left attempting to get out of the way of those huge claws. They had practiced this move a few times which had Jason and Choco itching to use this technique in an actual battle.

The pokemon was a bit surprised that the growlithe would chose to forfeit it's own attack to dodge ...as she came to a stop. Her paws skidding as she whirls around and threw up her own defensives. Her paws over paws as she stood ready for the next strike. She wasn't going to run away as she waited for the incoming attack.

[oh yeah i forgot about the equal speed thing]
"Alright nice dodge Choco. Now go and use bite" Jason told Choco. He was impressed but not surprised that Choco had been able to pull off the last minute dodge that they had practiced only a few times.
Choco barked happily at the acknowledgement from Jason and charged at the Sandshrew with his jaws open, aiming to bite down hard on the Sandshrew's shoulder.

Those fangs would sink into her claws, but her defensive were high. She smiles lightly as she allowed those fangs to stay lock her in her hard skin as she took the other claw and swiped it downwards at his exposed side. She would try and scratch him then ...from the top of his shoulder blade all the way down to the where the shoulder met the arm ....in a move meant to tear blood and flesh from him in one single move.

"Get away from her!" Jason shouted out to Choco.
Choco saw the claw coming at him and tried his hardest to dislodge his fangs from the Sandshrew's claw and then jump out of the way before the Sandshrew was able to land the attack on him. He knew it was going to hurt if he was hit.

It would work as the Sandshrew missed, and the pokemon's teeth was mashed in frustation. She had taken a nick and he had gotten away scot clean. SHe didn't like that as she brought the injured paw to her mouth and licked it. A single drop of blood is all that fell before she hunkers down on the defensive this time.

Choco was glad that he had managed to get out of the way of that attack but it was time to go up close to attack again. He charged at the Sandshrew once more with his jaws open and this time he was going to aim for the other arm.

Once more she would be bitten as those teeth sunk into the same wound. Going just a inch deeper but not any more as her other claw curls into a fist as it starts to glow. She was getting tired of this pain as she aims for the pokemon's head with a Focus punch. Her mind and full concentration with on that fist, but for some reason she felt ...that it would take time to accomplish to her mind's ideal of what would happen to that pokemon when she hit.
