Been working on a RPC to try to get active in here again, I noticed a couple of the bloodlines have outdated class restrictions, will those be changed any time soon?

Which bloodline specifically? I thought I combed through them? I may have possibly stopped after the first page due to time, to be honest.

Kiranu, Draconian (Restricted from being Mage, but I guess that could be taken as Magus as a whole), Feral, Valkyrie, Shade, Phoenix, and Dullahan. Though I'm guessing most of those aren't popular Bloodlines.

Paladin is still mentioned in Templar in a few places. The Darkest Day S " stat bonuses reverse until the paladin is suffering a -1/-1. " Chains that Bind C " information, and for him/her to do that the Paladin would need to bind the person. " Slip of Truth C " As they talk, the paladin can ask them a question, " Circle of Unholy Protection S "The enemy MUST be on the templar's level before even attempting to fight the Paladin. "

Is the guild allowing people to start off as Adept again? I noticed a few people have and others haven't but no official 'event/claim' for it.

Hello smile I'm considering coming back to the guild, I've been away for a LONG time, I see that things have changed and I have a couple of questions about my potential character.
1. The classes have me slightly confused in regard to subclassing. I see that there are main classes and then specializations within that class. Are the specializations subclasses? Or do you begin with a specialization?
2. The magic revolt on the human character interests me, but I assume blood magic would be off limits as it's part of the reaver specialization correct?

porkchopo Okay so I have a few questions.....
If a skill that has a duration of x-amount of posts (making it a sustained skill rather than momentary) and it is supposedly weakened (as the technique does not say it is weakened for each post that it continues) each post that it continues on for, how much is it weakened by and does this go for all skills across the guild?
Weapons have ranking, and I had always figured it was for weapon breaking and that it would need to be a rank higher to do so... Do the rankings come in play as terms of an attack with the weapon itself, and if so does it negate energy based counters/defense? Example:
An [ A ] Rank weapon is used without a technique on an [ A ] Rank magical barrier. Will it disregard the barrier and cleave right through? Do they negate (cancel out) one another and the weapon breaks along with the barrier?
An [ A ] Rank shield is backed by 15 Strength and it hits an [ A ] rank magical defense barrier. Again, does the shield break? Or is it an SS ranked non-technique using attack against an [ A ] rank?
If 15 Strength (SS rank) is used with a D rank Fireball punch, does this make the attack itself SS rank? Or is it only D rank?
For all this strength when hitting something with nearly the same strength, is there recoil damage for both parties?
With the new STR/SPD system that went up yesterday, what exactly do the ranks mean for both? Can someone please list such along side the ranks because the only strength chart is for the Berserkers and there is no speed one.
Along with the above question, what exactly does the rank for S-SSS speed mean? Does the rpc become the Flash and just disappears? Do they basically teleport around the thread like Tracer?
If this is a general overall guild guidelines, will Berserkers and Assassins be buffed or will everyone in the guild basically be one or the other, or possibly both depending on their build in terms of non-technique using maneuvers?
For Berserkers with their Steel Forms and such, since this is a barrier laced within the skin basically, in terms of Damage Reduction - when is it applied? Is it before the attack hits them or is it after?
Lastly... If a skill says it buffs only allies - but there is an unwritten clause that if a skill does such then it auto buffs the user as well - then can this be fixed and written into the techniques? Because that is extremely misleading for members that do not know of the clause. Idk about the rank of weapons hitting techniques anymore with the new system. Im gonna assume it doesn't now and it's based on strength. For the second question, if an attack of SS rank hits a barrier of A rank it doesn't hold. Str/Spd system is back u/c, and no everyone wont be a berserker because even with the system standing as it is they both still fall pray to the same things they did before lol, and for every bit of power they gained from this i can name a weakness they still have that cancels it out. Idk what steel forms you're talking about lol. But with stuff like carapace shield from the dreadnoughts(At the time of writing this) , if its an energy based barrier then your dr doesn't affect it. DR only responds to the damage done to your body. So if the "Steel Form" has C rank power, C rank cancels it out, B rank penetrates it. Sure ill write in that if a skill buffs your allies it can apply to you as well lol. As for your first question give me a specific skill so I know what your asking.

Donno if I'm allowed to post here to answer but eh. For the SS technique that lasts a certain duration (like dealing fire damage every post for five posts) , if the actual fire damage was SS damage every tick, you'd essentially be doing five SS techniques for the price of one. Techniques that give barriers that have no fall off count do nothing until damage is taken. As for the shield vs damage reduction, I believe all techniques that give DR states that it gives an actual damage reduction, like Blood Augment Body Armor does. I think I understand what they're attempting to do, though I may be wrong. There are techniques and the like that mirror your strength. For instance, there is a spear technique that is more powerful the stronger you are. A nice choice for a Stat Monkey, right? The problem is, as with other systems and descriptions the growth tag on of the technique is subjective. 'Just how powerful does this technique become if I gain strength?' 'Is it just flavor or just a minor boost regardless of how strong your character is?' I feel like this is what the stat labeling is for. It would be kind of rediculous of someone who has literally reached the top of which a mortal can obtain speed wise, being second only to gods and boss-class mobs that use speed, for this speed to not have an effect of their physical attacks and movements. Yes, for a physical oriented character or a Stat Monkey character it is not at all unnormal for the stats to reach around 10 or even 12. If going up against, say, a Bard, then yes the punch from the warrior would feel like a ******** car hitting them. In the same vein, using their magic spells with a little brain power would make the warrior deal with a torrent of pain, lowered visibility via mists, elemental damage that is more effective against them, people who can create minions to wear out the warrior, people who can heal people from actual lethal damage. The balance is that while your set stats are not hard to have in the double digits, boosting them farther requires specific character builds (Such as the Stat Monkey stated previous, a character that is aimed at building stats us as high as possible). At the same time, as other classes increase in rank, their ability to destroy the masses with magical destruction, debilitate people into actual retardation, or be the beacon that prevents their allies from falling also increase. With everything else, power is objective and clearly stated how powerful or weak something is. Something that blinds for a certain amount of posts blinds for a certain amount of posts. Something that heals wounds has the power of said heal clearly labeled in terms of what rank heals what kind of injury. But with stats everything has been subjective. Is someone who is 10 strength able to hold their own in a grapple with someone with 12? How big or small of a gap is required until the difference is actually relavent in RP and in combat? This kind of vagueness and subjectiveness is something that has been in Axiom for as long as I remember. The Mods going through and trying to make these details specific and objectively effect the RP is something that I actually appreciate. Uh... TL;DR: If the technique says it reduces damage, it adds DR. Otherwise it's probably a shield not effected by DR. Ranked techniques that do sustained damage would be kind of rediculous if they did their technique's rank worth of damage. For instance, an SS technique lasting five posts dealing SS damage every post is rediculous. Stat changes are being made to probably make stats objectively effect RP rather than subjectively and have value to techniques that pull from said stats (such as a technique that is more powerful the stronger you are)

"if an attack of SS rank hits a barrier of A rank it doesn't hold." - I understand that for actual techniques used, it has always been that way.... But I mean with the new str/spd system that isn't any use of a technique at all. It is your strength (since it has ranks now) vs a technique... though you said it is under construction... so I guess it doesn't apply yet?? Idek??
A weakness that cancels out sheer str/spd? Besides techniques that debuff the rank of an attack - in this case it would be their actual strength (as it has a rank)?? Or debuffs the stat, which is obvious.
Uh, sorry, not 'steel form' but Iron form.. that makes their skin more resilient against attacks. When it basically is just their skin and not a barrier over it?
Thank you. heart
Well I know we talked about a guidelines for customs having durations and you said you could see some having longer ones and some being instant, that putting them in one standardized category just wouldn't work. Like huge techniques that effect whole threads are using one post in duration, then you have techniques that are barriers that have a 3-5 post lasting time, or when they debuff a person for x-amount of posts... I'm not even sure why they would be weakened but I know with one of my customs I'm told it would be weakened as time goes on?? Yet, it is an protect aura/barrier with a small range and a set duration and can be avoided fairly easily. I've seen more powerful customs with no duration at all and less cost in energy.I didn't say technique because I meant attack period, even if it isn't a technique. If it does X damage and Y skill is lower X beats Y. The stat buff makes them better, and even still the classes themselves fall prey to the same things they did before, but it isn't for me to make everyone aware of their weaknesses or i'd spend a lot of time micromanaging things. Idk who told you what about Seraphim, but if a Skill does SS rank damage over five posts, and somone puts up an SS rank shield, the skill wont break it instantly, rather they'll wear into each other. For the purpose of Seraphim vs. Carapace shield, that's what would happen if you activate it and Carapace shield is activated at SS rank until someone tells me something different. Otherwise it just does SS rank damage until it ends, and it would deal normal SS rank damage to anything unshielded. Hope that answers what you were looking for. Also cass is right, as a rule of thumb. If it reduces damage it gives dr, but some things are just worded awkwardly so it doesnt always apply. And I guess ill fix those skills as i come across them. Still dont know what Iron form you are talking about is either, link me to where it is or Screenshot it or something.
