Whiskey? Did somebody say whiskey? Ricky was there.
He stumbled to follow after Gemini Beta with eagerness, hoping both to get home and get some whiskey. He would have been upset with her imitation of his accent and his cries of desperation, but he wasn't about to yell at the woman who appeared to be his best chance of getting out of this place. However, he wasn't able to stand for long as the space whale's beam blasted a hole in the ground.
Ricky was deafened by the noise, and nearly fell into the pit, hanging on the edge.
"Sweet mother of Christ, somebody save me!" he cried, unable to hear a thing.

He was trying to help others up, but then something...
Something was coming.
"s**t !" He moved just in the nick of time to avoid some sort of blast, but others were no so lucky.
It really wasn't Ricky's day, but the reflex, as stupid as it was, was immediate - Joshua reached out to try to catch his hands before he could slip.
"Help !" He yelled out. "Try to push yourself up !" He said, unaware that Ricky was deafened at all.

What.
WHAT.
Keren's eyes went wide at the space whale emerged from the darkness. There was no way this was happening. It was like a bad fanfic! All of it! Every last second of it! No way was she sticking around to see where this went!
If there was one thing basketball had taught her, it was how it hustle. Elbows up, keep moving - all that mattered was making it down the court, or down the road as the case may be.
When the blast hit, she was caught in the crossfire but managed to get out of the way. Head throbbing, Keren continued to push ahead. She was getting out of here. Dealing with this kind of bullshit was not in her school handbook!

Candice once again lost her breath as the rainbow floor shook underneath her. Thinking fast, she ran fast, not knowing where she was going or what would be there, but behind her, she heard a blast and then some cracking.
She looked behind her and noticed that a gigantic whale caused a large rift where most people were standing. Candice had moved fast enough to avoid the blast. She let out a sigh, glad she was safe, but then what about the others?
Others around her were safe as well, but she needed to do something! She slowly walked back to where some were not so lucky, waiting to see of the whale would blast again as well as any she could help bring to safety...

Raven clung to Jett as the road shook so violently.
She rubbed at her eyes, then let out a gasp of complete shock when her eyes landed on the giant flying..Space Whale?
The blonde couldn't help but let out a scream as the whale let loose a sound unlike any other.
It felt like her very eardrums had split and she let out another blood curdling scream as she slid towards massive hole the whale had made.
She managed to grab on to the edge though, fear coursing through her blood as she held on with all she had. My god....she was going to die.
She was going to die from a ******** Giant space whale...
...Life sucked.

Bela nodded at Roxy, "Yeah I didn't mean to...." There was another sudden lurch and they were all tumbling to the ground. "Oh shittakimushrooms." The storyteller muttered as she landed with a thud.
Thankfully anything having to do with her costume was nothing really pokey. She sighed, before looking around, "I told the cop we should've moved from this spot..."
Obviously this wasn't a good spot and she moved to avoid the blast that was coming, "Watch out!"

Natalia was doing her best to maintain vertical status when the pathway was rammed again. Everything was so chaotic, she couldn't focus. But then... Then she saw the wale. The <********> space whale. Her pale blue eyes went wide, and wider still as she saw the wale prepare it's blast. She was frozen. Frozen with fear. Her heart seemed to stop in her chest. And for that moment, she knew that this was no dream, no nightmare. She knew that this, this was very real.
At the last possible moment the feeling came back in her legs and she moved - leapt - out of the way and rolled. She stayed close the the 'ground' and put her hands over her head like you were taught to during a tornado drill in elementary school. And she was trembling.
This was no dream.
Virgo had told them that it wasn't, but she hadn't believed her.
Now she knew.

Virgo Roll: 2
Virgo had substantial combat experience; more than that, she had the memories of her past, obsessively reviewed. With the Princess still in her arms, she threw herself back. She landed hard, taking the brunt of the heavy landing. At least the Princess no longer stood in danger.
However, with an enemy apparent, she did invoke her attack. She yanked her veil off her head, and whispered the incantation; a green glow surrounded the Princess of the Seasons, protecting her from all harm for the next six minutes. She just had to hope that that would be enough for now. As for the civilians… she had her hands full. Hopefully the other Zodiacs would be able to handle the civilians, while she took care of their Princess.
Once that was handled, she hauled the protesting Princess up into her arms. It looked ridiculous, a tiny blonde girl holding a taller green-haired girl with wings like the Princess was her bride. Virgo did not care. She would not be caught unawares by a second strike.

When she saw the monster, she had no idea what to do other than shove Sheila further out of the way of the monster. Unfortunately, this left no time for her to retreat herself; the supersonic blast blew a hold in the rainbow path, and left Marienrode dangling off the edge… She couldn't hear anything, just a single, oppressive silence. And that was when she finally clued in that whatever they were in, it was not a dream. Her grip on the ledge tightened, and she took a deep breath; hopefully the girl had escaped the giant pit.
Now Marienrode just had to do the same.

Still on her rump, she was about to attempt to stand one more time... when a NOISE from right behind her hit her ears like millions of bee's playing bad christmas music on her ear drums. Shoving her eyes shut, she reactively placed her hands on her ears and let out a wordless scream.
Lynn somehow managed to see through the fleshy eye covers that... SOMETHING was shining towards them, rolling to her right. The blast would not have nailed her anyways ironically, but call it instinct.
Head now thrumming to a beat, she squinted her eyes open and looked to see what the hell made that noise..... jaw dropping open. Starlights reflected in her eyes, but what was more miraculous was that there was a WHALE... in SPACE...
Didnt she watch a Dr Who episode like this once?

Space d**k, was a new elite Boss and as it came at them again, Hawke realized this was not a cut scene. So when s**t got real? Hawke got moving. "ANDERS!" She wasn't about to leave her partner behind however. "******** Anders-" She had a plan now.

Suddenly Mary felt the entire group lurch to one side and she screamed. Her head was splitting -- but she managed to dive out of the way. Well... mostly. She'd slid close to the hole, having still been attached to Darwin (who she wasn't sure the state of) who'd been attached to Raven. She delatched from the boy and rubbed her temples, hoping she didn't slide any further towards the hole.
And just how was she going to get Raven out of the hole.
... Though, should she really save She Who Was Thrown By Blast? She figured she should, on gryphon's honor... but that could get her killed too.
Oh dear.

Eliza was enjoying this very odd experience truth be told. It was amazing like something out of a story book or even better a sci-fi movie. It was amazing. Except for, maybe that noise. That music that she wasn't enjoying. She backed away from it a little with a frown.
Then there was a princess. OH MY GOD, there was a real princess right in front of her. Oh she was about to be launched into a fantastical journey of wow, just wow.
She grinned her eyes wide practical bouncing, when she was nearly knocked off her feet. "Woah," she exclaimed stumbling about and slipping slightly out on her one sock.
She looked up and saw a whale, A SPACE WHALE! And what was it doing, oh now. "Ahhh," she shouted as she jumped out of the way of what ever that was.
She looked to Virgo with worried eyes, "What's going on? And that would be a what exactly?"

Zue had been doing his duty to see what it was; he saw, and with all his fur standing on end he scrambled around and bolted right back to get them to move their asses elsewhere. Alas, that put him right in the way of the blast; not only did he give a rather feline shriek of pain as his ears popped with the noise, but it also took everything in his little cat body to keep clinging to the edge of the hole. His claws were out, his body swayed, and he did everything in his power to try and get back onto the path.
All he could hear was a low, audible whine; no other noise existed. No screaming, no talking, no crashing...just that one, single tone.

Jett's ears were burning; he hadn't been able to make heads or tails of what was going on--and when he realized what had happened, it was too late. The ground was crumbling beneath him and there was a painful tingling. His hands fell from both Molly's and Raven's as he lost his footing.
Time moved slowly, and no matter how quickly he tried to move, nothing seemed to be working in his favor. He extended his hand and clutched tightly, clinging to what solid surface their was. After that blast, he didn't know how much longer the solid surface was going to remain and his adrenaline was pounding. It was an odd sensation to him--the lack of sound.
In the back of his mind, his subconcious was telling him that this was how space was supposed to sound. All the chatter, the noise--it stopped. And Jett didn't know what to do.
He was sucking in a large breath of air as he tangled and tried to get enough leverage to pull himself up. All that training--all that boxing--he knew he had the upper body strength to move himself, he was just too stunned to do it. He tilted his head to the side just slightly to see how the rest of the group had fared as he trembled, trying to get enough grip to heave himeslf back up and onto solid ground.

She turned her head to yell at Regina for calling her fat when her eyes landed on what was attacking the road.
" ... OH FOR ******** SAKE." She yelled. That was not right. She'd told Regina that Hitchhickers Guide wasn't' real and now there was a god damned whale floating through space trying to break their only salvation.
Turning on the girl she was sitting on she pointed a finger at Regina. "If a potted plant falls out of the sky i am going to clock you over the head with it."
She was about to try to get up when the creature did something else. She expected the drum beats again. She hadn't expected a noise that made her ears want to explode. As the pain ripped through her head she screamed and curled into a ball.
