North Carolina, USA Charlotte Wilson (Jones) Freshman "Ok." she nodded, agreeing to give him a bit more time. Charlotte's face turned bright pink. She understood the phrase but it still wasn't something to say so casually in front of her. "Yes the weather is very gloomy."The state waved back to her classmate. She giggled pondering if there was something in the atmosphere around the two. "Oh I know ya are." she smiled. Charlotte loved seing her brother getting flustered espeically when she didn't have to say much. "Speaking of the dance, I hope Arthur gets well in time for the dance. It woudln't be fun without him and Alfred there."everyone is called 'darling', "yall" is a proper noun, sweet tea is the house wine, and you never EVER disrespect your elders...

"They'll just wind up fightin' or causin' some kinda fuss, won't they?" Tennessee said more than asked as his cheeks started to regain their normal color. They were still a bit pink and he seemed excited that Seychelles was there even though, to someone who didn't know him well, his expression didn't appear that much different than usual. "I don't really care what happens to the ol' lobster back, but I guess America'll be sad if he doesn't get better... and he was pretty nice to us during World War II when that whole special relationship started..." Tennessee frowned awkwardly. He'd never known what to feel about England since the only times he'd ever met the nation personally had been on the battlefield as enemies and, since the world wars, as allies. Andrew might have been born before the Revolutionary War, but he was rejected by the crown since he was an illegal settlement. England ordering him being disbanded and essentially killed as a child hadn't exactly struck him with the best first impression. He didn't complain or openly hold a grudge because he knew America cared about England, but Tennessee never seemed to know what to think of him and hadn't made much of an effort to get to know the island nation.

North Carolina, USA Charlotte Wilson (Jones) Freshman "True they would fuss over nothing but the dance wouldn't be the same without them otherwise."Tennessee's words echoed through her for a moment, remembering the past. "Sorry Drew. Forgot you had it rough." Even though its hard, she tried to forgive and forget the stuff that England had done. Afterall... "It doesn't change the fact that without him, none of us states or America would be where we are now. Arthur did look pretty bad when I visited..." she didn't want to think of what would happen if Alfred were to lose him. "Oh I do wish the two could read the atmosphere around them!"everyone is called 'darling', "yall" is a proper noun, sweet tea is the house wine, and you never EVER disrespect your elders...

Tennessee shifted guiltily on his feet knowing Charlotte was right. They did need to focus more on the good things England had done and not worry about their pasts so much. Many of those conflicts had wound up making them and America as a whole stronger in the end, right? That should be the important thing and deep down Andrew knew it. "... I'll try to be nice to him," he muttered. "Since he's important to you and America... But what atmosphere are you talkin' 'bout?" He could only give his sister a blank, confused stare. Andrew obviously understood that Alfred and Arthur cared more than they let on, but still didn't recognize anything particularly special between them. It was hard to tell if that came from denial or an honest inability to process the mood between the nations.

North Carolina, USA Charlotte Wilson (Jones) Freshman "Well he is more important to Al than to me personally." She didn't want to admit that she had a slight interest in him. There was a tiny portion of her that was loyal to him when they declared indepence but that was history. Charlotte shook her head. "You might understand when you're a bit older." Then again, Alfred is well over 200 years and still hasn't been able to read the atmosphere well. everyone is called 'darling', "yall" is a proper noun, sweet tea is the house wine, and you never EVER disrespect your elders...

Andrew couldn't resist the pout that formed on his face. "I ain't that much younger than you," he grumbled even though there was well over a century between when she was colonized and he was settled. Sometimes he felt like such a child when talking with the former colonies. Well, except for when he was around Pennsylvania and Georgia. Those two only had a few decades on him so he didn't feel as underage. "I could understand right now if I wanted," Andrew insisted as if such a claim made sense. Violet snorted softly when she began to wake from her nap and was startled to see Seychelles standing so close to her Tennessee. The piglet's eyes narrowed and her cheeks flushed indignantly. She regarded the nation not unlike a love rival might attempt to stare down the latest challenger.

"I-I ain't cute, neither!" Andrew objected and a blush spread across his face again. Of course North Carolina had to do this in front of Cherelle. He was embarrassed but, despite his fussing, he didn't try to stop the hug. Actually, he seemed a little happy and his pout softened into a stubborn little frown in spite of himself. He didn't even seem to remember his original question as he was unwillingly soothed by his big sister's hug. Why people kept saying he was cute would never cease to confound and disturb him.

Tennessee ducked his head shyly. He hadn't called her sissy since he was a little kid, had he? Maybe it had slipped out every once in a while if he wasn't paying attention or didn't feel well, but he was too old to be saying something like that on purpose. It did bring back a lot of memories, though. "You're doin' this on purpose," Andrew accused and tried very, very hard not to whine as his blush reached his ears. It was just like his siblings to tease him in front of a girl he liked. Not that they were anything close to boyfriend and girlfriend! They probably couldn't even be considered proper friends yet, but he couldn't deny that something about the 'French state' attracted him. He'd never been around a girl quite like her.

"That's mean," Tennessee complained although he didn't honestly seem mad at North Carolina even if he was flustered. If anyone else but her tried the same thing they might have gotten punched for it, but Andrew had always treated Charlotte with a little more respect and courtesy than the other states. While he would never hit one of his other sisters they couldn't get away with half the things North Carolina could without him getting angry. "Why can't you just be the kinda older sister who bakes cookies and only does nice things?" Andrew asked with a small huff even though it would be kind of boring to have North Carolina any other way.

North Carolina, USA Charlotte Wilson (Jones) Freshman Whether her brother meant to or not, it kinda offended her sisterly pride. Her mouth dropped a bit. "You mean, ya rather I act like some senile granny?" It was the first pciture that came to mind of someone that always bakes cookies and always talks sweetly. "I'm not old like Arthur but at least I can cook. And what do you mean 'only does nice things'?" that bit was what probably hurt her. Yeah she teased a bit but far as she knew she had been nice too him the whole time, not reffering to their past. everyone is called 'darling', "yall" is a proper noun, sweet tea is the house wine, and you never EVER disrespect your elders...

Oh, boy. Tennessee avoided eye contact and looked away as he tried to find something else in the room that might be a good distraction. He didn't want to bring up any old arguments from the past since their not-so-nice disputes were better left as water under the bridge. However, it didn't seem like North Carolina's pride would let him drop the issue, either. "No..." Andrew muttered as he struggled to find some delicate way to explain himself. He wasn't too good at walking on eggshells, but getting scolded by Charlotte was the worst thing imaginable. He'd pick a fight with America before risking one of her lectures. This would require all his tact and skill. "I mean, yeah, I like it when you cook, but not like a granny because senile England would be a terrible granny," he blurted out then stopped. The state just looked at his sister not unlike a deer caught in a pair of headlights. "Er... no, that's not..." he muttered nervously. What the hell did I just say? That didn't make a lick of sense! Andrew internally panicked. This wasn't going to end well for him. He already knew that. His shoulders slumped slightly and his expression fell into a guilty cringe as he prepared for some sort of backlash from his utter failure. "I don't want to fight with you, sis..." Tennessee said unhappily as he resigned himself to his fate. "If you're gonna get mad at me then I prob'ly deserve it so I won't argue..."

North Carolina, USA Charlotte Wilson (Jones) Freshman 'Senile England would be a terrible granny'? That itself was funny. She shook her head. It had nothing to do with her question. Charlotte waited for him explain himself before jumping into a lecture rant in front of the girl. She stared at him for a moment then looked away. "I don't want to fight you either... Nor do I want to be mad at you." The state started to head off to the girls locker room. Before she walked in to change back into her normal clothes she paused. " If anyone asks where I am. I'll be at the bar."everyone is called 'darling', "yall" is a proper noun, sweet tea is the house wine, and you never EVER disrespect your elders...
