Tip gave a wide-eyed look of amasement. "A real japanese temple! Cool!!" The boy seemed to squirm in his seat with excitement.
Derek looked at Tip with an amused expression on his face. He then began watching out the front window, his ponytail in hand, its usual staticky-ness returning.

Aya's father smiled as well, "Anyone want music? Any channel you can all agree on?" He asked

Derek shrugged slightly. "I'm open to almost anything." He said.
Tip agreed with Derek, not really caring what they listened to.
"Do you think we could listen to... Classical music?" Linx asked, his voice just barely hearable from the backseat.

Dorian cried, "Oi, classical would be nice, Mr. Aya's Father!" He called up louder.
Aya's father smiled, "You may call me Mr. Aramaki, and classical does sound wonderful. He turned on the radio but then glanced at Aya, "Little Bird, be the DJ for me, wont you, I don't want to drift out of my lane."
Aya leaned forward and turned the dial until a channel came in, blaring Carmina Burana. She hastily turned down the volume as teh opera howled out of the speakers, "Sorry!"
Dorian, his sensitive ears rining winced, "Ya..."

Linx winced as well. Being locked up in Bloors for so many years, he never heard music played so loud, save for a few times in orchestra. He looked up to Dorian, reached out and touched his ears. He had been curious as to what they felt like, and he blushed and pulled back his hand quickly, shifting so that neither of his backseat companions could see his face.

Evan was smiling slightly, holding back silent laughter. It had been a long time since he'd been around kids his age; Mother had insisted on home-schooling ever since she'd found out about his powers.
He frowned at the boy next to him, who was hiding his face. He laid a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, are you alright?"

For Dorian his ears had always been a soft spot for him and he sat quite stiffly when they were touched. But a boy had never touched them before, only babies and girls, women as well had touched them. To have Linx touch them gave him a very different sensation. He blinked, still sittng stiffly and stifled a growl, not wanting to scare anyone in the car.

"How long until we get there?" Linx suddenly said outloud, loud enough for Mr. Aramaki to hear. He suddenly wanted to be alone, feeling foolish for touching Dorian's ears, and slightly frightened at the growl the other boy gave off. He just wanted to be somewhere else... and after a moment, the humming sound came, and he fought to stay in the car against his endowment, no matter how badly he wanted to feel foolish without anyone there.

((Lol, stifling a noise means that there was no noise! He didn't growl))
"We're almost there." He called back as he got into he far right lane to get off the highway. They drove through a city then up a hill where the city started to thin and the trees started to thicken. Soon they pulled up to a large two story house of simple but charming design, "Alright then." He sighed, here we are. He turned off the car and opened the car door. A petite woman stood in teh doorway waving.
As soon as Aya got out of the car she ran over and hugged the woman around the waste.

((Well, then linx imagined it! sweatdrop ))
Linx was one of the first people out, disappearing and re-appearing a small ways from the van. He had his back to everyone, and tried to get rid of his blush before even looking at anyone.
Derek got out after the others and surveyed the house, a small smile reaching his lips.

Mr Aramaki greeted his wife with a chaste kiss on her cheek and was rewarded with a blush from her.
"Can I show them the temple?" She asked excitedly.
Her father smiled, "Lets get some food in them first."
"I made an early supper for you all." Mrs Aramaki said to them all.
Dorian bounded out of the van and streaked to the Mrs, "That my dear lady is the magic word." He grinned and bowed formally, "Its nice to meet you, and thank you for the ride adn your hospitality, Mr Aramaki"
Mrs Aramaki laughed, "Well then come in all of you."

Derek followed after the others inside, giving a slight glance at Linx, who decided to remain outside. "This is a lovely place." He said, smiling. "How old is the building itself?" He had always been a fan of the ages of buildings, and figuring out how difficult it might have been to build things, or just simply finding out the architecture.

Aya tensed, "Bad idea..." She muttered.
Her father turned and grinned at them all, "Well, it was built by my great-great grandfather, along with the temple and during every generation they added onto the house until it is the size it is now..." This continued on while Mr Aramaki showed them to the dining room. The now table was covered with food, a large bowel of steamed rice sat in the middle, "Sit all of you, Aya, if you would serve the rice?"
Aya sat down and started dishing and handing out filled bowels with rice.
Outside, a light hand touched Linx's shoulder, Mrs Aramaki's voice asked gently, "What bothers you, dear?"

Evan felt even more like he'd been swept into a course he couldn't stop. Well, he thought, I might as well go with it for now.
He smiled, and listened intently. His stomach let out a growl, and he looked longingly at the rice. I should wait, though. What if they say Grace or something? He did not want to offend these kind people.
