Rachel walked over to Katherine as she was on her way to see the loot gathered. "I'm quite suprized that little fool jumped to that sinking ship, and more suprised he somehow didn't die..." She laughed softly, "There was little loot to get off that ship, maybe 30 doubloons worth if we are lucky. It was a Navy Ship ment for battling, so it's not a suprise." She sighed softly.

"They fled in the direction of Divvytown, do you think that Daira, Jemima, and Gabriella might be..." She couldn't finish the sentance, the thought of them being dead wasn't one she wanted to think about, "Whatever loot we did gather it has been put with the rest we have gathered," meaning it was in the pockets of anyone who actally lifted a finger to fight.

"I should probably check on Gabriel, see what he's doing." Rachel turned from Katherine and headed toward the Armory where the boy should have been.

~~~~~
Gabriel hurries back into the armory, picking his monkey up and laughing. His aim was horrible in that battle, and he really felt like he failed the crew instead of helped them. The monkey could sence the dissapointment inside Gabriel, even if the boy tried to hide it with a wide smile and a laugh.
The monkey squirmed out of Gabriel's hands and ran around the armory chirping at him loudly as if it was saying 'try and catch me!' Gabriel took the monkey's bait and began to chase the monkey around the armory, the monkey would often jump onto Gabriel's head and chirp at him as if to taunt the young boy.
Katherine could only nod to what Rachel was saying, distracted by the sudden memory of the strongbox Jonathan had been carrying under his arm. She knew that if it had still been on him when he was dragged away then it would no doubt be somewhere among the less than honest crew by now. Dismissing the master-at-arms with a vague wave of her hand, the captain hurried below to search the crew quarters and hold for the strongbox.
Almost a solid hour later, she walked slowly back to her cabin, weary with the weight of failure. No amount of brow beating or bullying had managed to make the crew give up the location of the strong box, let alone the whereabouts of the tactician for that matter. She wondered vaguely what use they had for the poor unconscious englishman and decided that she really didn't want to know exactly where he was at that moment, or with whom.
Much to her dismay, upon entering her cabin that was exactly what Katherine found out. For lying in her large, comfortable and very warm bed was none other than Jonathan Graves himself! Cursing the disrespectful ineptitude of her crew, Katherine closed the door with a bang behind her and stalked over to her bed to inspect the sleeping Jonathan.
The noise from the door had failed to wake him up, so Katherine deduced that he must be out cold. She stood over him uncertainly for a moment, not strong enough to haul him out herself and unwilling to risk the shame of calling for help. Eventually her eyes alighted on his discarded clothing, draped over the very strongbox she had been searching for!
Hurried shoving the heavy blue coat aside, the captain ran her hands over the steel wrapped wood lovingly in search of the lock. Five minutes later, she had discovered that not only was there no key, but no amount of manhandling or tossing about would force it open either.
Surprised that the noise still hadn't woken the slumbering Jonathan, Katherine resolved to make the best of a bad situation and began to rummage through the deep pockets of his coat. The search produced only a handful of lint, some deeply boring strategy books, two doubloons (which Katherine immediately pocketed) and a strange vial of reddish liquid.
Intrigued, Katherine did the first thing that came to mind and uncorked the small vial. A powerful odor of something intensely sweet hit her full in the face, and she took a step back to clear her head. A moment later, a delighted grin spread across her face. Clearly the devious tactician had been hoarding a secret stash of some exotic liqueur, and no doubt it would go very well with the dregs of the rum she had stashed away.
Quickly whipping out her ever present flask, Katherine mixed the bright liquid in with the last of her rum and swirled it quickly for good measure. She was slightly disturbed by the small puff of smoke this produced, but downed the concoction with enthusiasm nevertheless.
Jonathan stirred in his slumber, occasionally mumbling things over the hour about a locket for some lass. When he finally came to, he found Katherine standing over him, downing her rum. "Bloody 'el!" he exclaimed, holding his head in pain. "What the hell happened?" He looked around the cabin and then down at the strongbox in the corner, finally ending with a loving gaze on the locket around his neck. Jonathan sighed a breath of relief, knowing his treasure is safe. Still in his underoos, Jonathan draped a bedsheet over himself and stood up in parade rest for the captain. "Quartermaster Graves, asking for forgiveness for his brashness, Ma'am," he asked.
Katherine was startled by the sudden exclamation from the bed, almost dropping her flask in surprise. Luckily it was empty anyway, so she discarded it without further thought. What truly captured her attention now was the very confused, half naked man standing in front of her. Somehow she couldn't take her eyes of the bared flesh of his torso, tracing every line with a firey gaze and suddenly wondering what it would be like to do so with her hands instead.
The usual heat from the rum was doing strange things, building on itself and spreading in directions it never had before. It was distracting enough that she failed entirely to hear the words that Jonathan spoke, though she basked in the warmth that his voice seemed to carry. How had she never noticed the sensual way his baritone practically caressed her ears?
Katherine suddenly felt compelled to share the strange feelings bubbling up inside of her. "When did you get so pretty?" She asked in a daze. Waiting for an answer was too much torture to take, so without further wasted time, the captain pounced.
A thousand thoughts simultanously crossed Jonathan's mind the moment he noticed the discarded vial and the intoxicated look in Katherine's eyes. The vast majority of them began and often ended in some sort of swear word. Some of the thoughts were quite arousing or perverted, however. But his endless possibilities were interupted by the changing of the Captain's footing, indicating a possible charge or, in this case, a pounce.
"Whoa! Slow down," he exclaims, dropping his sheets and sidestepping her pounce. "Wouldn't you like to have a nice candle-lit dinner with me first? Serenading?" Jonathan looked quite desperate as he scrambled out of her range, but still staying close. "Wouldn't you rather be romanced and feel like a real queen instead of a slave mistress?"
As Nicolas watched the barrels begin to resurface, he felt a devilish grin spread across his face. The site of the new tactitian diving into the ocean for God knows what reason was enough to please the elf. True, Nicolas would have much preferred being the reason behind Jonathan's plunge, but he couldn't be too greedy in a situation like that. Laughing quietly to himself, Nicolas then grabbed his sabre and cleaned it off on one of the remaining Navy bodies on the deck. Kicking the body with his foot, he released yet another chuckle. The battle had certainly raised the spirits of the usual dark brooding elf.
Hearing an excessive amount of splashing coming from only a few yards away, Nicolas quickly turned, expression fading once it was clear what it was. Jonathan had somehow survived his jump and was, after an order from the Captain, being aided from the water. Although confused, the crew acted quite quickly and the situation seemed to slow before the elves eyes. With anger and frustration building within him, Nicolas' hatred grew. Had it been him beneath the waves, he was certain Katherine would not act the same, despite his loyalty he had displayed since his arrival.
With a quick turn, Nicolas began away from the scene. His mind was filled with flashes of the battle, of Jamie and Jonathan, of Katherine and of the crew acting so quickly with one another. Putting away his newly cleaned blade and clenching his fists, Nicolas remained silent.
As no one watched, the elf made his way to his chambers.
As the gyspsy was paying attention one naval male she was fighting, another slammed up into her side. Though it wasnt an attack. The man had been injured and knocked himself and Jamie to the ground, his dead form weighing down atop her. With a grunt the female fought for breath, shoving and wiggling underneath the much larger man. The sound of victory rang over the ship's deck and the pirate crew began to make their way back to The Dementia.
Growling, Jamie took several long moments to free herself, scratching one of her arms along the length of the man's long sword. Scrambling to her feet, among the corpses, she glared at the now dead man and kicked him in the side, cursing him for causing her trouble. The deck was nearly empty and the ship had started to sink. The young woman then made haste towards the ship she had began to take comfort in on the sea.
Luckily there were a few ropes left and she returned, leaning against the railing of the Dementia to catch her breath and tightly grab her bleeding arm. She watched as bodies of the navy were searched and then disposed of overboard. As she watched a few bodies float away and sink to Davey Jones locker Jonathan jumped overboard onto the sinking ship. Fool.
Jamie caught sight of Nicolas, he too was watching the quartermaster dive off the ship. The male muttered to himself, though Jamie was to far off to understand. Soon the quartermaster was drawn back aboard and Katherine ordered for one of the crew to take jonathan away and bed him. Jamie looked int he other direction when this order was given and laughed slightly as a reluctant deckhand dragged the man away.
Now, the gypsy let out a tired sigh, her adrenaline slowing as she sat on a barrel to rest. With a glance towards the gathered group, the female felt her heart clench when she couldn't spot the elven man. For what reason it did so, she couldn't say.
So focused on her goal was Katherine that she was completely surprised when he stepped sideways, and even more baffled as to the reasons behind it. How could the object of her desire not desire her? Frustrated, Katherine prepared to launch herself at him again, willing to believe it was a mistake rather than deliberate avoidance.
But when the startled tactician stayed firmly out of her range and started babbling about serenading of all things, Katherine began to have her doubts. Her immediate natural response to his question was NO, as she was at heart a creature of impulse; used to getting her goals by the most direct approach possible. Her sense of self importance as a captain only enhanced this instinct, so the idea of not jumping the seemingly irresistible Graves right then and there was hard to contemplate.
Foreign thoughts about how Jonathan could be right, after all he is so noble and honest, started to invade her mind, causing further indecision. What if her lifelong pattern of achievement was not the right way to go about things? Perhaps a little romance would indeed sweeten Katherine's life, after all wasn't she lonely?
Confused and feeling decidedly strange, the captain groped desperately for her own loose moral code to fall back on. Making up her mind that she would have Jonathan however she damned pleased, she took a step towards him again. Still, as she turned it over in her head a calculating light came into Katherine's golden brown eyes. Distraction was a well known military tenet.
"Romanced? I don't know I would like to be, no one has ever shown me such things before. Perhaps you should be the one to... teach me?" She practically purred, moving close enough to Jonathan that she could feel the delicious body heat pouring off him.
The Quartermaster didn't know if her compliance to his request was genuine or not, and frankly didn't care. If he could show her a little romance during her intoxication, then maybe her disposition would slowly change once the effects of the love potion wore off. It was a calculated risk he needed to take, but mentally steeled himself for any form of betrayal.
"Feel the softness of the skin," Jonathan speaks in a more seductive voice, taking her hand into his. His other hand traces along the backside of her palm and wrist. "Feel the tingling in your back and the shivers you recieve from just a touch." His hands now reach up and softly caress Katherine's cheek and neck, leaning his head in toward hers. "Feel the closeness of the lips to the skin," he whispers, almost brushing his lips against her own, but not making contact.
Jonathan releases his hands and takes two steps back. "Now feel the longing in your heart as you suddenly miss the things you have experienced," the Quartermaster continues in a normal tone. "Sex is all well and nice, but to truely enjoy it, you must enjoy the little things as well."
Katherine stood very, very still as her words seemed to win at least some part of the tactician over and he took her hand in his. It seemed some sort of absurd game at first, but Katherine complied willingly enough to anything that brought Jonathan closer to her. When he began to touch her hand ridiculously gently she thought he must be shy or some similar affliction, but then the airy motions started to leave trails of tingling flesh behind them.
The sensation built as his hand reached Katherine's face, and she felt her whole being concentrating solely on where he was touching her. At that moment she would have given anything for him to be touching her elsewhere, in more sensitive areas but at the same time she couldn't deny the simple comfort of being touched. When Jonathan's lips almost brushed her own Katherine felt sure she was shaking with anticipation, as embarrassing as it was, and the sheer disappointment when he moved away almost drowned her in its strength.
The loss of contact left a lingering ache, and Katherine listened to his philosophy with a kind of desperate attentiveness. "The little things? But what good is an appetizer without a feast."
As she said the last word Katherine emphasized her point by pushing herself up against him, his naked chest crushed against her own barely concealed breasts. The captain knew very well that her chosen attire was by no means practical for day to day use, but it was in situations such as this that it truly earned its wear.
Jonathan pushes with his hands, forcing Katherine back with enough strength to push her away but without enough strength to seem rude. "What good is a feast," he retorts playfully, "if you cannot savour the food you are given." He points to a nearby chair with his finger. "If you wish to savour me, you'd best take a seat and take notes on the art of true romance." He winks and grins, "The feast is not yet cooked."
The elven man was gone, most likely off to rest or bark more orders after the battle. Jamie had caught her breath and hopped off the barrel, deciding to make her way towards her cabin, possibly stopping by Nicolas's on the way. What she hadn't planned on though was the sudden yell from inside the Captain's cabin. Catching the female's interest, Jaime leaned towards the chambers and listened, recognizing Jonathan's voice. What was he doing in there? Hadn't he been taken away by another member of the crew? Whatever the reason was, he hadn't sounded very interested in what katherine had in mind.
The gypsy listened for a few moments, frowning at what the Captain had to say to the Quartermaster. This seemed unlike the other woman, for she had always been after the female's on the ship. Jonathan's voice was slightly shaky as he continued to try and talk Katherine out of her actions. Jamie then straightened herself and knocked roughly on the door.
" Cap'n, hav you seen Jonathan!? It seems some of the crew have been hoping he would tell what happened after he wen overboard!" She didn't open the door, for she didn't want to suffer the wrath of Katherine if she were to get angry with her simply barging in. " And Rachel asked me to fetch him for her. " Yes, it was a lie. But a little white lie. The woman had wanted to speak with him earlier, that was true enough.
Jonathan begins to immidiately formulate several plans the moment he heard Jamie's voice. "Come in, Lady Jamie," he calmly spoke. "Katherine was giving just me a clean bill of health and sending me on my way." He decided to turn the tables on the lust-crazed woman. If she could not control herself, then maybe someone else could. It was a calculated risk, and one that worked in his favor, at least long enough for him to grab his clothes and strongbox, and make a quick exit. Finishing up his mental plans, he sidestepped toward the pile of clothes, never once turning his back to the captain.
Katherine was too bewildered by being rejected yet again to do anything about being pushed back for a long moment, and just when she was rallying her wits for another attempt a knock at the door interrupted. The captain could not believe the gall that the gypsy woman possessed, first to attempt gaining rank through her bed and then preventing anyone else from doing so!
Katherine's fists clenched uselessly as Jonathan casually invited the little vixen in, too frustrated to even form words. What fresh hell was this? Some plot to disrupt the captain's pleasure? Could the gypsy wench have designs on the very man that Katherine desired for herself? Paranoia began to fill her mind with suspicions and conspiracies, her newfound possessive attitude towards Jonathan making the probably innocent Jamie seem a master plotter.
