/random Red Kutai I got to practice my skills with this a while back, when I was trying to attribute elemental properties to all of the rings. I was doing so in a notebook, away from the computer - and I kept getting stuck at ~38 out of 40. If I can find the notebook, I'll let you know the ones I kept forgetting. sweatdrop
Oh, found it! Apparently I forgot Bandage pretty reliably. Guess which Ring I don't use often enough... whee
I chunk them by sets for easy recallin' :V That's one thing sets are really good for.

Remembering there's a Demon Set doesn't really help me recall Teflon Spray any better. stressed Not that Teflon gave me trouble, anyhow - it was part of the Chef Set, back when I used that. sweatdrop I get the feeling I'm missing the point... whee

SykoCaster Liona Lionheart SykoCaster Soubi-chu I still don't understand this whole thing. The only 'hard' thing is to find a crew that actually has more brain power than a potato so they know what r4 buffs are.the rats in the c e l l a r you know who you are
Actually, I've crewed with a potato before. It was better than half the randoms I find. >_>;;
lol What button was it on? I want to know for future reference....in case I need to use a potatoe in place of anyone. btw.....whatcha doin right now?
Fire Rain. It spammed AoE, didn't wander away from the group, and didn't kneel while being attacked. It was like the perfect crew member.
And, thus, the potato test was born:
If the player can be suitably replaced with a potato, content is too easy.
And, a corollary:
If the player can be beneficially replaced with a potato, tutorial is inadequate.
gonk
Any further refinement? sweatdrop

This really made me giggle... but honestly, if a player can be beneficially replaced with a potato, I would not be so ready to only blame it on the tutorial, but to take a good hard look at the player as well. The fact that, even in spite of the notification upon entering the SS that "Lorelei will use the strength of her minions against you. Thin their numbers to prevent her becoming too powerful.", some people still run to the forums and post "Why is Lorelei so hard to kill!!!??!" gives me moments of complete despair as to the use of guidelines and tutorials at all...

Is it just me or does Ken and Ryu look like they're using Heavy Water Balloon in this trailer and use a lot of gatorade? O: I just wanted to post that though. x3 Solar Rays keep reminding me of the Hadouken and Kameha wave. What attacks or other stuff remind you of zOMG though in media? O:

Well, to be fair, it has to be a bouncy potato, so it can press the button multiple times. But both of your statements hold true.
Not the whole of zOMG!, but Papa Saw, like most of the Bosses, has one very clear, very easy strategy; stand still, spam Fire Rain, use Diagnose as needed. The game needs more, and more powerful AoE enemies, like the Fluffs in Kat's Doll, or the Missiles/Mines in EB, to punish people who just sit there. Knockback would help tremendously, too. You should be able to AFK in a game, but not during it's bosses.
I've actually been able to play zOMG! on two computers at once. Not only Papa Saw, which was exceedingly easy, but SS Mobbing runs, as, again, you just run to a spot, stand still, and spam Fire Rain. I've been able to do the former while also playing another game on my PSP. More AoE. More Knockback.

SykoCaster I've been able to do the former while also playing another game on my PSP. Psh, I managed to play more games on the same browser window. AFK the game 1 + AFK the game 2 = Rucky Candy! Although, most of the time, when I do that, I tend to split the screen. The fact this can be called "frequent" doesn't amuse me.

Meh. Too much effort for that. I can just put the laptop on the ground and tap Fire Rain with my foot.

Well Easter is arriving, and apparentelly Golden Egg will be re-released.
Thoughts? I'll go ahead and state my stance in advance, I'm for Fortune's Favor coming back.

[ JK ] announced the re-release as "bad news"; while he may just have been empathising with those who disliked the decision, his tone implies that they will not be making a habit of it. While it's true that the more Fortune's Favor Rings there are, the better it is, the change isn't worth an awful lot so long as there remains a definite limit to the number of Rings released overall. Personally, I think it's time for them to get out of the Event Rings habit altogether, because I don't see them actually re-releasing these Rings every year... neutral

I thought the "Bad News" part was for the entire event rehash, not just the ring re-release. That is, the bad news is that nothing new is coming from this Easter. No new ring, no new Sundae Sweets, nothing.
