"She isn't," Barth affirmed. "You don't have to leave. Err, either of you." Colette seemed to be slowly migrating further and further off to the side.
"Claire, Lilith, this is Colette. We err, fought and traveled in the same group during the Christmas Town thing." Neither Claire or Lilith had gone. Considering the amount of violence therein, he was glad they hadn't. He wished he hadn't.
"Colette, this is Claire, my sister, and Lilith, my- ." The word ex didn't want to come out. "...well, Lilith." He finished, lamely. "And that was Christof. I think he's a bit manic about Christmas. ...And hitting. He likes to hit. Usually not with heavy objects."
Barth had been at the receiving end more than his fair share of times, and he had seen what Christof could do with a belt sander.

Christof still wobbled, a tight little noise escaping his throat as Yaya was now draped over his hunch. His legs shifted, free hand that was not being fondled and groped falling over his lap as he shifted, mind spinning. Enjoy it, his Mistress had said- Enjoy it HOW? Mostly he was feeling... tight and uncomfortable and he couldn't quite breath right and she smelled so good and was so warm in the cool evening air and she wasn't wearing pants-
He was dimly aware as the demon rearranged for their other friends to move forward with Junko's silly dare that a white haired.... Ghoul? Boil? Ghoul? No, Boil by the sound of his voice- had approached, seemingly concerned about him as well. Except... he hadn't wanted to EAT the little deer- it had been the other way around, thank you! He was just defending himself. At least it was gone now... or at least apprehended. So long as it stayed away from him, he was happy.
Happier to have a Yaya draped around him, it would seem, his stitched mouth stuck in a dopey tight-lipped grin as he leaned to rest his head against her soft chest. And those hands.. those lovely lovely hands. He wished he had brought his saw with him, he'd bring them home with him right then and there.
Post traumatic stress syn- what was that? All he knew was that those monsters seemed to be infiltrating Halloween, and possibly brainwashing people, and he seemed to be the only one intent on stopping them.
Maybe he was crazy.
He'd deal with that later.

While it was an answer, it just left him more confused, and the kelpie shook his head, a frown set deep as his brow creased in thought. It sounded just like how he thought it did, and that's why it was confusing him. "That makes no sense. Just because something is owned doesn't mean it's more important. That jollyfox wasn't owned, yet he died in a cruel way. You can't say being eaten alive wasn't violent. It's almost saying that if HE.." To which Calder pointed straight at Christof. "…was threatened, everyone would stop it from happening cause he has a Master." The tone in which he said "master" showed he wasn't all for them. "…and if I was hurt, no one would care. Being owned shouldn't make a difference! These were two animals who could have met their end. Why was that one…" And he turned about to jab a hand at the direction of CLarie's stomach. "…more important to save than the other? Everyone was okay with that dare from the start. No one cared about that jollyfox. Why should they care about the deer?!" He was getting riled up, upset, and he was probably taking the entire incident too personally, but it made sense to him. Why was being owned any different than being wild?!

The nuzzle was nice, the headbutt was painful. Immediately, a hand went to rub at where she had been hit. However, realizing that Amrita did not notice what she had done, Lizzy decided against saying anything. Instead, ignoring the slightly red mark on the side of her face, she patted the Undead ghoul on her head with the hand that she had been massaging her face with, "Christof looks better already, yes?" Somehow, she didn't like the way the Demoness was all over him... Still, the hunchback didn't seem to be protesting.
Although this incident made Lizzy think about educating her friends on making deals with Demons - she'll start with Amrita after all this gathering is over.
"Calder, is it?" She looked up from Amrita to address the obviously distressed Kelpi, not quite sure what to say to a master of romance; she was still in awe at his previous poem. She paused before gesturing to Colette, "However, while Christof was aiming for the reindeer, he would have hit that ghoul as well, from the way things looked. Christof is my friend - I will not stand for him to be bullied - but he was only yelled at to stop him from potentially hurting a defenseless ghoul in the process of trying to hit her pet... Although how would you feel if someone tried to hit your pet - no, a pet friend?"
At least, she was sure that was what happened. It also occurred to her that she must sound like a terrible person - no, Demon - right about now, for seemingly standing with Barth; she didn't like the fact that Barth had made Christof his servant using a mark (although the non-Demons around seemed oblivious to that fact) but Christof shouldn't try to hurt anyone either.
Rosenthal, glad that the ghoul did not forget about him (he would hate to blend into the background!), immediately made its way to sit on her shoulder. Short limbs reached out to pat Amrita on the head, but due to limited reach, the creature found himself patting her behind her ear instead. Rubbing his face gently against the side of her face (with flesh), he grinned, as if to say 'good job'.
He knew how to please and ignore his tension-could-be-sliced-with-a-knife surroundings!

Oh dear, perhaps she hadn't explained it well, or simply didn't know how best to explain it so it would make sense to Calder. But as he continued to speak the water djinn began to understand just how the kelpie thought, and how best to clarify things for him.
"Calder." She soothed, and with her free hand reached out to touch his chin, a gentle little brush of fingers. "The deer belongs to Colette, and means something to her. It would be difference between my skirt, and your kilt. If someone where to shred my clothing, I would just buy more. The clothing mean nothing to me beyond keeping me clothed and warm." She smiled softly, watching his face to see if he understood what she was getting at. "But if someone were harm your kilt, that would not be so easily forgiven. It means something to you, and you would be most upset if something happened to it. Correct?" Dark brows rose, and she glanced to Lizzy as she too tried to explain things.
"What she says is also true." She chuckled, letting her hand fall back to the elongated fingers resting on her leg. "Well said." She'd thought of that herself, but thought perhaps the kilt angle would make more sense, but Lizzy had explained things quite well herself.

Maritess fidgeted, what was this about eating follyjoxes and deers? She hadn't been around to witness the consumption of a follyjox and she'd been a little distracted when the deer jumped on the patchwork boil. But if Calder was upset, Tess couldn't help but share the sentiments. She didn't see anything wrong with disciplining a minipet when it did something it shouldn't have, not that Tess was the paragon of disciplining anything (she had a misbehaving purple tentacle after all). When Lizzy spoke up, it occurred to Tess that perhaps they were more upset that the patchwork boil almost hit another student in the process. Well, she could understand that better. The other ghoul (Yaya), the one currently sitting on Christoff's lap (Jack, did Tess miss being able to sit) added in something about kilts and skirts as an analogy to the situation.
Against her better judgment, Tess found herself softly suggesting, "Perhaps it would have been better to leave the disciplining of the deer to its owner?" Tess had noticed Calder's distaste for the word master. She had no issues with the word personally, but she didn't want to upset Calder any more than he already was.

Sadly, Yaya's angle wasn't the best, and he sat down, frown still set. "Just because someone else places importance on something, doesn't mean it's more important than anything else. The Jollyfox felt its life was pretty important, and no one cared for that. Just because other people weren't here to say, "Hey, that's an important jollyfox and I care for it" doesn't mean it was more or less important. You can't buy more of that jollyfox just as much as you can't buy or replace that deer. They are both alive, and they both can be eaten regardless of ownership. Owners don't make things important or less disposable. That's saying wild creatures and pets are more or less important than the other. I think Christof should be allowed to eat the deer if he wants." He was set on that idea. Something being free or owned, or had friends or none to defend it, did not mean life and death. In fact, it was like saying Calder was less important than Christof, and he was more troubled by that idea.
He looked over at the girl, and then at Christof. "…but if it came to hurting a girl in the process, I guess that makes sense." That was just the small line that he guessed made a difference. He still didn't like the other part.
Turning, he called out. "No more dares with animals, hurting or eating. I don't like it." He shot out, wanting to implement a new rule. He was close to leaving, but he wasn't sure it would make a difference. Maybe with a rule in the game, no more eating or bashing of creatures could be made.

She nodded in Tess' direction; this issue had already been dealt with and there was no use trying to discuss it any further. She cared about that poor Follyjox that Claire had eaten; after all, she cared enough to yell out when it happened... She just thought that a student (even if it was a friend) trying to hurt another student outside of gym was bad... Very bad. However, what Calder said brought a relieved smile to her lips as she spoke up, "I second that rule, nobody should have to get hurt due to a dare - student, pet or wild creature."
She wanted very much to know the Kelpi boil better, but this was a terrible start!
The Demoness very much wanted to add 'no kissing or sensual things', but it seemed like the students actually enjoyed them and she didn't wish to be a wet blanket... There was nothing entertaining about two students not in love to kiss! Actually, it all seems rather wrong to her. She sighed inwardly before reaching to hold Amrita's hand for comfort.

There had been a lot of talk about things that Riley could not care less about. This was because Junko had just dared her to be sat on by a giant. Her eyes had narrowed to slits, and glared Junko down for the entirety of the conversation between Calder and the group. What a terribly demeaning thing she was being asked to do. It went against her very nature, and it showed in her eyes. When it finally looked to be settling down, she heaved her chest upwards and climbed out of G's lap.
I knew she was too drunk to be giving out dares. Riley grumbled to herself more than anything, as she crawled around G and sat behind him. She got a good look at the wall of a boil that was about to sit on her, and clenched her fists tightly.
Well. Let's just. Get this over with. She growled out thickly.

"Oh.. er, okay." Colette inched back to her place by Barth, a little shyness from the former assumption still lingering. Another notch of awkwardness could be tallied. She was at least relieved he wasn't bothered by her sticking around.
As he introduced her to the ghouls, Colette glanced off to look at the other students. She was uncomfortable with all the attention, one student was even blatantly gesturing towards her! She gave a mental sigh and tried to ignore it, deciding to focus on who she was supposed to be getting acquainted with. The Reaper gave a small wave, if you could even call just lifting her hand and wiggling a few fingers that, and a greeted them softly. "Hi." Yep, that was it. One two-letter word. She wasn't the best at meeting new people, and combined with the prior events, it made Colette all the worse at it.
She was paying more attention to Claire, either because Claire was Barth's sister or Colette really didn't want to look at Lilith who was having a lot of physical contact with the boil. She wasn't even sure which reason it was, or why Lilith made her so uncomfortable, but Colette just shrugged it off. All she knew was that looking at Claire was much more pleasing than the other option. For his sister, she seemed really different. She stared a lot more from what Colette had experienced anyway.
When Barth had mentioned Christof, Colette turned her attention to the patchwork. She had figured that was his name, Barth had called him that when he so kindly stopped the boil from maiming her. "I see.." she said it in a mumble while holding Dasher a little closer, deciding Christof was someone she didn't really want to be around anymore. Though, why the patchwork had listened to Barth was still a blank to her, and she wondered if it'd be proper to question Barth. Should she really prod when he had just saved her?

Yaya's mingled praise and comfort was enough to make the monster nuzzle at her hand, huffing a slow breath through his nose. Yaya thought he did well? Well, he felt better now, and Gargantuan was distracted enough that the dare didn't sink in right away.
He had to sit on Riley's lap?
His fins shot straight up with alarm when he finally comprehended the weight of the situation, and he was staring at Riley like... well, like she had just turned into a fuzzy werelemur and was about to eat his behind as soon as he sat down. "G don't wanna." There was a dissatisfied rumble in his throat, but Riley looked very scary at the moment.
And it was a dare. But it wasn't his dare, so would that mean he'd get kicked out? There was a slight whine now even as he gingerly made to sit, trying to position so that her legs were more or less around his sides, rather than being crushed underneath.
Sigh.

Luckily, Riley was working around the same idea - and spread her legs far enough that G wasn't actually sitting on them, but instead she had them curled around his sides. She brought her knees up slightly and gave the big lug a squeeze. This wasn't weird at all, right?
The only positive side to this dare was that no one had to see Riley, who was a lovely shade of eggplant, since G's body completely hid her from view. Well, ten minutes of being hidden wasn't so bad, she supposed.
Her tentacles tightened considerably to keep out any lingering swamp smells, and silently brooded for the next ten minutes.

The kelpie suitably reasoned with, Yaya was free to turn her attention to other matters. She did give Calder an apologetic smile for her less then helpful analogy, squeezing his arm gently even as Christof cuddled in against her chest. Not exactly an unfamiliar sort of set up. Blinking sown at him, the demon lay a hand on his blonde head. "You remind menof Herbert." Sharra's Freymon, he too loved to snuggle into her arms.
Thoughts of Herbert of course led to the nergal himself, and Hadiyya was once again entertained thoughts of paying him a visit before dawn broke.
Movement beside her turned her attention back to G and Riley, and she couldn't help but project her sympathy for the purple demon, and likewise to G. The poor boil just kept having to assist people with their dares, and she could understand how his roles in both would bother him. "There you go, G." She smiled as they found a seating arrangement that worked. "A few minutes, and you can switch back again." Extending an arm, she gave hisarge knee a reassuring pat.

Oh! Collete didn't know that Claire and Barth were related. And, Collete was not his ghoulfriend. Things made sense now. "Half-siblings, anyway. Dad has lots of wives. Glutton demon, like me. My mother is a glutton, too. Barth's mother's a slime. A nice slime, yes. Sometimes slimes aren't nice, I think." Claire tapped the front of her tooth in thought. Collete seemed to be looking at Claire, so Claire poked her tongue out, being silly. Then her stomach did the same, and Claire laughed.
