Day three:
~Moved on to eating more insects and some magma... Hmm...
~Enjoys exploring... This scares me slightly.

Day 2:
"I let Flynn out for a few minutes to have some exercise. I even fed him some small insects like flies and beetles. I also let him poo somewhere on the ground. Good thing it didn't smell that bad." Meiko writes on her notebook for the second day.
Day 3:
"I did the same stuff I did yesterday, but this time, Flynn seemed to be more active than usual. Maybe it's mating season..." Meiko laughs lightly as she quickly glanced at her salamander as she wrote in her journal.

Day three:
Is enjoying the same diet as before and is eating slightly more. Should i put him on a diet? Might just be he needs more food because he is young. Hasn't gained much weight but seems to be getting larger. He likes to sit out of his jar with me sometimes now, but not for too long before he wants to go back in.

Lena came to care of magical creatures class and let Zoro out of his jar for a while, observing his behaviour. She then put him back into his jar and got her note book to write day three of the journal.
My six-legged salamander-Journal
Day three
Since yesterday, Zoro has grown one centimetre in length (and is now 21,5 centimetres long) and half a centimetre in width (he is now 7,5 centimetres wide). He has eaten a bit more food, bugs and leaves, then yesterday which is why, I believe, he put on a little bit of weight, but noting big. He is still dark violet but little dots of darker violet have appeared on his back. He seems to have more energy then yesterday and sleeps a bit more too. Zoro moves a lot in his jar and when I bring him outside he quickly runs around but stays close to me. He seems a bit less scared of me because he used to hate it when I moved him around in my hands but now he doesn’t seem to care as much. Everything seems to be going fine, normal.
She then got up, picked up her jar and walked to Professor Kalle. Professor? Is it normal that yesterday Zoro was completely the same colour but now he has developed dots of darker violet? She asked, showing her her salamander.

That was just disgusting! And Pipi is a male salamander. (Or so Antoinette decided.)
She then brought out a piece of parchment and wrote the diary of her fourth day with Pipi.

Day Four
Pipi is a bit more behaved. He sleeps more now, for some reason.
And because of this, I barely have to feed him! Best for both of us; I get to spend more time on my hair and he gets to lose weight! I leave him in the son more often, as a reward.
He's grow a bit longer, I think he's about to hit puberty. Ew. His colour is a bit faded. I prefere this colour over the forest green he originally was.

Eclipse doesn't like other salamanders, I found out. Met another on in the forest, and right after professor Kalle told us abotu the milk, he spat some, as it ran away. Weird. Day Three:
Today, I've noticed that Laitae has grown approximately 0.9 centimeters. She has adapted well to her recently reconstructed habitat, and still seems to be nocturnal! She's been quite curious about the "outside" world, as known as outside-of-the-jar. Her diet still mainly consists of insects.

"Great," she muttered before picking it up. Jem just stared at her with her giant bug eyes.
Day the Third:
Things are the same as usual. Jem has taken to sticking one of her eyeballs to my mirror whenever I let her out. I'm thinking she's attracted to herself... is it mating season? Also, that would mean she's batting for the other team. I don't know if that's even possible with salamanders.
She's grown half an inch too, when I managed to measure her without her squirming too much. She likes to climb onto my shoulder sometimes too, but I warned her that if she sprayed any milk on me, I would never let her out of her jar again. I think she understood. Either that or she ignored me and just looked like she understood.

'Yes Lena, it is perfectly normal that Zoro has developed darker spots. The thing you need to worry about is extreme lightening of the colour,' Kalle said, interlacing her fingers and nodding. She was incredibly pleased with how the class had reacted to their assignment.

Day cuatro,
Romulus is a pretty boring topic to talk about now, well he's pretty friendly to some animals except that ones he eats but that it. He loves to play "catch the bug" with me and he loves playing hide and seek though i'm scared to play that now for he might shoot milk at me, which now that i think about it, its kind of... gross and well you know what else. He's a little greener now, but still pretty light

Aludra Yvette... Aludra had picked out a pale blue salamander with creamy white spots going down its back all the way to the tip of the tail. She smiled as it ran around its jar trying to find its way out of the glass prison. "Its ok my little pet, I know how to take care of you." she said in a soft voice. Aludra had plently of species of amphibians at home, so this one was a walk in the park. When class was over, she would make him a nice little cage to live in.

Day 1
-I have decifered that my salamander is a female, so I have names her Fire, hence the meaning of her species name. She seemed unhappy in her glass jar so I have designed and made her a living space in which she can call her home. Its a rather large aquarium tank in relation to her size. I have provide it with both water and land as it is an amphibian. The bottom of the tank is filled with top grade soil about 3 inches deep, purchased at a Herbology market in Diagon Alley. In the corner of the cage, there is a below ground spring where Fire can soak herself. Towards the middle of the cage, there is a hollow tree-like tube running from the bottom of the cage to the top for aid in playtime. Next to the tube is a flat rock for sleeping and show-boating. All around the cage I have vegitation growing to help maintain her enviroment and keep it at the desired 80% humidity. The temperature is around 70-75 degrees making it very comfortable for her in there. As soon as I put her in the cage she was very excited and started running around like a mad woman. As I'm writing this she is showing off her lovely colors on her rock to anyone who will look. Earlier I gave her daphids and cyclospen, she seemed to enjoy it pretty well but I think shes ready for more adult food. Tomorrow I'll give her something more satisfying for the adult pallet. For now, its getting lates and this young lady need to go to sleep.
Day 2
-I didnt get to spend much time with Fire today, but when I returned from my classes she had gotten loose from the cage. It seems the air holes I put where too large. I searched for hours but in vain. When I had given up and was about to go to sleep, she had been on the edge of my nightstand swimming in my small glass of water from the night before. Fire is very curious and I'm afraid curiousity will kill the salamander if I'm not there to watch her. So I put a mesh on top of the air holes so she cant escape when Im away. Fire was angry with me at first but she knows its for the best. I gave her more daphids and cyclospen since she seemed to enjoy them so much last time she ate.
Day 3
-Fire is beginning to worry me. Today all she had done is sat on her rock. She hasnt even eaten the daphids and cyclospen I put down for her. If she keeps up this behavior any longer I'm afraid her health will be effected.
Day 4
-Fires mood has improved drastically. As I write this she is running over my paper with her tiny limbs, no doubt when I turn this in there will be little foot markings across the page. I guess it was just a bad day for her yesterday. I fed her some insects I caught in the grounds, though she didnt seem to like them much. When I get the chance I'll write to a specialty store to buy the right kinds of bugs for her to eat. I want my little Fire to have the best of the best. She getting larger now dispite her refusal to eat last night but she is still on the small side when compared to the other I currently care for at home. I hope she gets a little larger so it will be easier to find her if she gets lost. Fire has just fell asleep just above my quill, such a silly little salamander. I guess this is my que to stop writing and put the little lamb to bed.

Aludra walked into the class area on the fifth day with her large cage in her hands. She walked over to her usual sitting spot and set it down on the ground, her following quickly behind it. "Good afternoon Professor. I was wondering if we will get to keep our salamanders after this is done. I would love to breed this one with my male blue salamander at home. Their almost identical except for their spots, his are a dark blue." ...7th Year Slytherin ((So sorry I havent posted D: Ill make up for it now.))

 DAY THREE
Xena and Xander seem to really enjoy each other's company. When I let them out of their jars, they will run around the bed joyously and make adorable noises. Xena's spots seem to be getting brighter...and Xander's are too. Perhaps this is a sign of their elevated health and happiness? They're both very healthy and eating fine.
DAY FOUR
Xena is eating a lot more, all of a sudden. I'm not completely sure why, but she does seem a lot hungrier lately. She also seems to want to spend a lot more time with Xander. Obviously I cannot keep her out of the fire for as long as Xander can, but they compensate by squeaking to each other through the glass of the jar..

Legolas is continuing to grow at a steady and healthy pace. I decided to make a sketch of him and he seemed to be interested in it when I was done. He had seemed to be studying it. He may be smarter than I thought. He also seems to be developing a personality. Figured I would show you the sketch I made so here it is:

Day Four:
Laitae is growing rapidly, and has a bigger appetite as well. I'm concerned that she's been too restless, lately. I do wonder why. Otherwise, everything is well.
