The human Knight made his way into the dojo after stopping by the smithy to work on his treasured weapon and pick up new iron weapons and armor. He noticed that both Exceed and the Royal Guard where here. He minded his own business and went to do his training. He went to the training dummies and strapped on his shield he decided that he was going to do shield skills first. He took out a book and began to read it. 'Forward!' seemed easy to accomplish. It is a move meant to break a combo. Timing it to when they were in mid swing, he would step forward. In doing so, would throw off their whole attack and mess them up leaving a window for attacking them. He read the next four skills over and put the book away drawing his sword. He crouched low to the ground holding his shield before him but only a couple inches off the ground. The was excellent cover at the cost of maneuverability. Like this he would be able to move very fast but he could move to find different cover. Now keeping the stance he worked on his footwork in it. He began to try and move around at angles. He stumbled a few times before he figured it out. For the next he kept the Iron Wall Closing stance and approached the dummy. Once he was in striking range he slammed his shield forward into the dummies chest to head area. If this was a normal person, this would send them staggering. With all this he had learned well to defend himself, he held the shield before him, he was a wall of metal. But it sacrificed a fair amount of offense to achieve great defense. He stood sheathing his sword and pulled out the book to read up on more skills. After he checked his next four techniques he put the book away and drew his sword. He held his shield before him and placed his other fist against the back of the shield this was more defensible for of the enemy had him in a choke point. This could also be used as an attack if he was close to the enemy target, he could rush forward slamming them with his shield. The skill was a hybrid of attack and defense too. In a melee strike he would slam the attack with his shield with a slight turn to send it away from him. For here the opponent would be open and he could do things like slash/stab at them or slam them with the edge of his shield. He then brought his shield back swinging it in a left hook slamming the edge of his shield into the dummies "throat" on an living target this would choke them. He brought the shield back to his front side, but left his right arm and shoulder exposed but able to strike. He could strike from around his shield like this. He sheathed the sword and pulled out his book yet again. He read it for a bit and put it away. He swung he shield broad slamming the dummy hard. Anything else would be sent reeling. He then acted as his guard was down, hard for anyone to resist. From here he would slam his weapon into their weapon attempting to knock it from their grasp. He took a few steps back and drew his sword. Holding his shield before him he rushed forward and at the last minute raised it slashing out from under it. He again stepped back and he sheathed his sword. He put energy in his shield, it steaming white. He flung it and as it slammed into the dummy he used the energy to bring it back to his ready hand. He pulled out the book again. He read up on sword and Shield combo attacks. He put the book up and drew his sword. He stabbed forward with he sword, followed by ramming his shield forward. A simple but effective move to take care of an opponent. Next only he slashed down on the enemy, then followed with an uppercut with his sword. He swung his shield jabbing the side into the invisible enemy. Caleb took a step to the left and slash his sword and an upward angle. Going with the momentum he jumped at the same time spinning. Coming around full circle upon landing thrust his sword out straight into an invisible enemy. Next he slash diagonally up to the left going with the momentum he spun bring him shield around in a back hand slamming the enemy then still going with the spin. Came around and lunged his sword into the enemy. He acted as the enemy was open stabbed his sword out once. Came back then repeated stabbing three more times. On the third stab he spun to his left bring his shield around in a backhand uppercut. Panting, he sheathed his sword he pulled out he book and checked it, seems he learn all the shield stuff he could for now. He looked on and found a single sword style. He read down the list, he put it away and strapped his shield over his back. ¥¥¥¥¥ He drew Cabal and readied himself, he pretended like he was knocking away an opponents blade with a small step back. He then slashed back at his opponent in the opposite direction. He then readied himself again. He slashed down pertaining to knock away an Opponents blade then immediately followed up by stepping forward and bringing the hilt of his weapon into his opponents "chin". He held it in both hands as prepared himself. He made a quick and powerful upperslash that would knock an enemy into the air or weapon up. This was to make an opened for, he slashed down right into the enemy. Most would have trouble defending from this. He set the hilt up over his head with the tip pointing down. Looked to be a simple defensive stance, but Caleb moved forward quickly. This would catch someone by surprise as he would ram into them. He held his sword up as if he blocked an attack. He brought up his foot into the stomach of the invisible opponent. This would make an opening as they held there stomach unable to breath. He thrust his sword into the invisible enemy. He brought back his sword and took three quick steps forward. Gaining momentum he plunged his sword forward. He once again brought his sword to the ready. He slash upwards. In the same mention he brought in close pointing horizontally to the enemy and took a step forward thrusting it into his target. He crouched down keeping his weapon ready. In one quick motion, he rose up slashing up at his opponent. Then as his opponent lay on there back, he stepped forward stabbing his sword into their forehead. He slashed down diagonally, he went with the motion and spun on his heels. He went full circle bringing his sword up. Again with the motion he brought it around and slashed through their side. This next one he would wait for the enemy to attack him. He would dodge be jumping up in the air his sword held high above him. It glinting in the light of the moon. Coming down cleaving into the target. He stood up straightening himself. He held his sword out infront of him and his other hand to the side. Like this he would wait for he target to get close. About the point were his blade and guard meet. He stepped to the side with a quick flick of his wrist. He brought it across the targets throat. Next was a move meant for those being attacked from above. He did a backflip launching off the ground by a single hand. When he landed on his feet again the opponent would be on the ground too. He dashed forward with great speed and brought his sword across his opponent. He sighed and pulled out the book. It was time for greatsword skills now. He spun Cabal in his grip, it rapidly changed into a greatsword. He brought the blade back behind his right hip and swung with the same force. He brought the blade back again but released the connection to his energy and blade turned to normal. He stepped forward and brought up his blade vertically. Should his opponent dodge he would use the momentum and continue into another swing after a complete rotation. This would not only be faster, but stronger too from the momentum. Next one was simple enough, all he had to do was turn the blade so that the flat of his blade struck an opponents weapon. This would undoubtably knock their weapon from hand. He hefted the blade onto his shoulder, then hacked down with one hand, vertically infront of him. He would spin his body bringing it around over his head and grabbed it with both hands and swung down again. He let it hit the ground and bounce up which he used to lunge forward, thrusting it into an opponent. Now this was different, he would run for his opponent. But instead of slashing he stabbed it into the ground and pole vaulted over it, delivering a flying kick to an unaware opponent. Caleb had one left, he launched into the air. He held the Greatsword inside down in his grip and pointed to the ground. He dropped with enough force to cut someone in half. But of course he hit the ground causing tremors.

Cabal pulled out a instruction book. He would learn to use the crossbow he had. Seemed he had the ability to learn four skills. He read them over and put the book away then pulled out his crossbow. He pulled the string back and set it, he then placed a bolt on it. He focused his energy into the tip of the bolt, his energy forming a dulled edge over it. This was to make it non-lethal or effective on the undead like skeletons that bladed would be useless on. He then focused his energy on the front of the crossbow. It formed three lines (like a peace sign missing the circle) this would split the the bolt in three as he fired. It would be good for a spread attack. He let this go away and focused on the next skill. He focused his energy on the back end of the bolt forming a line. This was a tether, he could use it to bring the bolt back to him after firing it. Great for two things, if he misses, he gets it back or he could bring small things to himself.

Caleb lowered his crossbow and looked to the Mechanist. He took grasp of the mans extended forearm and gave it a shake. "I have a few more skills to train, but I would be glad to take up a mission" he said to Exceed. He had yet to train his skills as a knight.

Caleb arced an eyebrow "black dust?" he asked Exceed. He didn't know what Exceed was talking about. He pulled out his manual and flipped it open.
