MeiYanohi Yu Mutou Fai and Kurogane would make an intersting paring... I like TouyaxYukito. But FaixKurogane would be very interesting to see... they'd always be fighting or something. There personalities are so different, they almost have nothing in common. Fighting pairings are often very popular in yaoi and het alike, like Zelgadis/Xellos (Slayers), Zoro/Sanji (One Piece), Kagome/Inuyasha (IY), and even harking back to Vejiita/Buruma (DBZ). Characters with seemingly nothing in common on the surface discover very deep-running similarities at the heart of things, and I think the mere fact that Kuro and Fai are amiable (if not snarky) companions brings that fact to light already. Characters who are different and also the same make for very interesting pairings. Even if it may be only fan speculation, I get a lot of enjoyment out of the possibilities. 3nodding Agreed and well said. heart

WhitePhoenixRyoko Yeah...in my brain, FayChii is the equivalent of incest (or something like that); it's just that Fay seems more like Chii's father than anything else. xp I love your XXXHOLIC signature. It's PERFECT. Meanwhile, KuroFai will live on.

Fai and Kurogane seem pretty darn cannon, considering past works (oh, and that infamous eye-trick... 3nodding proof enough to me that Fai will/has liked a guy). They over-react around eachother, and understand eachother a lot better then anyone else in these books. Kurochan has been teased to death by Fai, even to the 'kuro-daddy--fai-mommy' extreme. And we all know Fai acts a woman on PMS, with all his mood swings... rolleyes we love you anyway, you flaming idiot.
(Fai is gay beacuse:
A) his name ryhmes with gay.
B) his name means fairy.
C) he has a great taste in clothing
D) he teases --read:flirts-- with kurochan and only kurochan.
E) he has no possible girl around, and CLAMP likes romance (Chi has her own guy, thanks, and it isn't fai!)
F) because he is heart )
They also represent a huge sterotype in shonen-ai/BL/Yaoi manga: they are ying-yang. Complete opposite forces. This is a straight couple sterotype as well, so it must not be argued against. twisted Kurogane is Fai's most of all because he has the poor ninja wrapped around his sly little pinky. Kuro-chan knows it, too. wink

Hnnn. Fai's name doesn't rhyme with gay. sweatdrop CLAMP said in a note at the end of one of the books that it is pronounced so that it rhymes with 'Eye' and it's prounced as said in the anime.
But, they so love each other. Completely. I just know it. Which is why in the current chapters it is KILLING ME. scream

Fai is a flamer and there's nothing anyone - well, except for CLAMP, and even then I'd have some doubts - can say to change that. And I think/hope some time in the series Kurogane and Fai will at least have 'oh crap, it's the end of the world, well I guess nothing really maters' sex.

And to Diana-chan: seeing as this is CLAMP, even if there IS a smut scene between Kuro-popo and Fay, CLAMP is pro'lly gonna do nothing more than suggest that something's going on, 'cuz as we ALL know, CLAMP is an evil, evil group of crazy Japanese fangirls whom we still love so very, very much. And we must remember, Tsubasa's rated T(teen), not OT(older teen); the most we can expect is a kiss. I think. I dunno. Don't listen to me, the crazy raving lunatic of a fangirl over here. sweatdrop
