Red Rebels
Ameena had been confused with all that was going on. She looked at the man softly when he spoke, felt the power be introduced to her body and for a second she felt nothing and then pain, such a pain that it erupted inside of her chest, spreading through out her body. She fell to her knees, blood drooling from her mouth. Then she fell to flat, her eyes the only thing that were still working, she could see Hokyo in the distance, he was going to cry, she felt it.
Hokyo rushed past men, when he arrived at Kei, Ameena laying there dead. His body shivered, his knees buckled and he fell to them. His sword resting weakly in his hand, his head bent low, he felt a pain he had never felt before, tears. He fought against them; he fought against his pain in the back of his mind. He was shouting screaming, though he felt the other voice in his head remain silent, it held no sorrow for what had just happened. ‘Kill, destroy, make it so man will challenge you again, and by becoming hated you create peace.’ Spoke the deep accent voice in his head. That voice had logic in the way he spoke, and Hokyo nodded in agreement. Pushing one knee up from his body he kneeled there, his hands reaching up and removing his headband, he didn’t need to keep his hair out of his eyes. Pulling the large coat off of his shoulder, he stood his full height. His back arched, his eyes hidden under the bangs of his hair. His sword held out to his side. “I kept my reason about me, I forced myself to remain calm fighting anyone that came across my path, I slaughtered people that held no power towards my own, I have always resided with the fact that I could keep my humanity even against Daton’s attempt to make me into a beast if I kept my cool and understood each death.” He was speaking, but the accent had taken over so much that whatever resided of Hokyo’s half accent was gone.
A spark lingered the length of his sword, spreading up inside of him and continued to increase the number of sparks. “Though that can no longer be the case, you have taken what I sought to defend, you have killed her.” He said though his voice was so calm, it would’ve been frightening. His body felt and the person in the back of his head was gone, for the first time Hokyo was him, no other person telling him things, he was in agreement with his other half. He rushed, his body speeding between touch of the ground, his arm drew back, sparks flying through the air around him. With one moment he swung his sword and a blast of blue lighting sliced through the air towards Kei.
The Capital
Soma looked at Rena and listened to her advice. “I would suggest you, but I’m not entirely sure you would take the position.” He said calmly. His eyes however changed to his father and Daton as he saw him being trapped by shadow puppets, this worried him, his father seemed in a craze, but there had to be reason and Soma wasn’t ready to approach Daton. Turning his gaze back at Rena, he smiled lightly at her.

Yunari glanced to the side where she heard the sound of retching. She shook her head and offered a little smile but did not falter in her action “Don’t worry Kira…” She coughed a little but the blood did not come from her mouth this time. She could feel it dripping down from her stomach. Wounds like this were not easy to heal and well she knew that it would take time she didn’t have to heal them “If I can heal Ray, we will be fine.” Ray was gone to the world, she had already been knocked out before Hokyo’s little spell so she had remained asleep, even if she was aware of what was going on.
The blond’s hand moved closer and rested flat against Ray’s exposed stomach before she leaned over and placed her head on the woman’s chest. “come on Ray… I need you…I know now… I understand now… Ray… Ray you and I are the same person…. Come on Ray.” But the other woman would not answer. So all Yune could do was heal Ray and save them. Such shock, yune had felt it once before. Ray had gotten hurt badly and the pain was twice as bad for Yune because it was Ray’s pain, she could only imagine what it had felt like for the dark haired woman.
But she was running out of energy. A fatal wound like this was hard enough to heal but to do it injured, well it was taking everything she had. Even the spell she was under wasn’t helping as she was beginning to grow tired. But, even if they bled, she would have their organ fixed soon, so they would live.

Kei turned to the red haired man, his smile was soft, but happy. He could see the future, his eyes were clouded over as he watched. She was safe, they were safe, life would go on. He knew Hokyo would not understand why this had to happen but in order for the man to be free of those people, his had to be done. He watched as the light came towards him. To dodge would take little effort with the power he had stolen from Hokyo, however, that power was killing him too. He opened his arms wide and let the power seep out of his hands into the world around him. He had killed Ameena, but in doing so Blake and the others would live. The others… Dark. He closed his eyes blood trickling down his face and his fists clenched as the blue lightening hit his chest causing a deep gash to appear.
He stood his ground, stumbling back an inch or two but none the less it was over. He coughed heavily, blood dripping from his mouth like a fountain as it fallowed suit from his body. He had never known that the human body could have that much blood in it. The very fact alone made him cry with joy. Blake would find this amusing, the sight of so much. He laughed, choking on his own blood as he did so. But he found his way to his knees and sat up tall and proud. “Isn’t it funny Ho~Key~oh, we don’t realize what we had, till it’s to late.” He looked down at himself and then he closed his eyes, the pain was gone now.
“Tell her I love her…. Would yah?” And he fell, his face hit the ground and his body slid a little to land beside Ameena’s. But what one might find funny was the expression of utter peace on Keishiro’s face. He looked as if he was only sleeping.

Blake returned to Daton’s side, her hands were folded in front of her as she looked at Dark and then bowed her head “You can release him my lord, Keishiro is gone.” She moved her fingers up to her chest and gripped on her shirt like she was going to rip it apart. She felt a pain, one like nothing before. The ground immediately shattered, skipping the ice part and becoming frozen as the circular area around her reached sub zero. Life stilled, even the leaves falling from the trees seemed to stop. Time had stopped, wait time? That was not Blake’s power. None the less everything within three feet of her had stopped moving, even the people who had the misfortune of entering her circle. She lowered her hands and looked to Daton a serious glint in her eyes.
She looked up and tilted her head a little offering a crude but weak smile. “and… I am with child.”

The Capital
Daton glanced at Blake and nodded, and in a moment the shadows were gone that were holding Dark. The General fell to his knees, they had lost someone they thought was like a family member, he knew this was the reason they would not win against Hokyo at least not Dark, Blake or Kei, they held him like a brother. Glancing up at Blake with a stern eye. “Bring a child into this world is a deadly thing, but you can always tell them that their father was the man to make Shindi cry enough to keep turning.” He said with a note of sadness in his voice.
Dark’s sword had dropped from his hand, as he heard the noise, his fists slamming against the gravel of the ground in a manner of a child throwing a fit. He hated it! He wanted to go instead, he could’ve done it. He could’ve beaten Hokyo, and Kei would still be alive.
“Tonight we will burn a fire in honor of our lost General and the announcement of Soma to take his place will be announced.” Daton said, standing placing his hands on Blake’s shoulder and offered a soft smile, something he rarely did.
Red Rebels
Hokyo stopped quickly, his hand gripped his sword as he approached Kei, it had been such a simple attack he could’ve avoided it. Standing above the man his mind worked through a different possible outcomes and yet this seemed to fit the best, he was saddened by Ameena’s death but to the point that he had refrained all of his emotions inside, that he was a bottle rocket with no release.
His hands were shaking, but he raised his sword above his head and it came down on Kei’s neck, slicing straight through into the ground, walking over to the table were Ameena now laid, he ignored her for the moment and broke one of the chairs into a long pole. Stabbing it into the ground, he reached down and picked up Kei’s head and placed it on top of the pike. He looked at it for a moment, it made him upset to do it, but at the same time this was something his body told him to do.
Walking over to the table that Ameena laid at he picked up the small girl, dropping his sword as he went and pulled the table away from the stage and down into the torn ground of the battle, he knew he was being watched, by almost all those that were part of the Red Rebels. Stopping he turned the table, holding Ameena close to him, he pulled her small limp body into both of his hands and spread her out across the table, folding her hands across her chest and closing her empty eyes.
Bending down he kissed the top of her forehead, his hands gripping the table as he did. “You rest now, you did well, and you were brave.” He spoke softly as he pressed his forehead against hers. Taking a deep breath he pulled himself away, and walked over to the chair Ameena had sat as a throne. Pulling the chair out to the edge of the stage, he stood beside it with his hand gripping its headboard.
Clearing his throat he slowly took the seat and folded his hands before him and let his head rest on these as he closed his eyes. It almost looked as though he was preying. “Today we have lost our beloved leader, Ameena. Daton has decided to show his true colors to all of us by sending one of his Generals to wreak death upon us; we can not allow this to go without justice.” He spoke slowly, his accent making his own body shiver. “In two days, I march to the Capital, with army or not. You are not a coward if you decide to stay here, what you saw today was the true means of the General’s of Daton, their power alone is enough to kill off all of our forces, but for tonight we mourn the death of our beloved Ameena.” He said uncrossing his hands and setting them in his lap, leaning back in his chair. Kei’s head a few feet away, the blood dripping in a pool below the pike, and Hokyo’s head seemed to bow each time a blood drop fell. He could not openly mourn Kei’s death, it would make the soldiers here to believe he still held compassion towards the other Generals.

Sci's body fell to the ground. He no longer had the stiffness in his muscles that came from trying to desperately to block that attack. His body lay motionless barely a movement to show he was breathing, but he was. What Kei had said was right, he would live. But for a while he would feel the immense pain of the recovery. Even if he was healed completely and fully that attack had pulled his power from him. Such a pure perfect light with out blotch or blemish had done more damage to the demon in him than he could ever know. In the days to come Sci would feel every bit of his body burn when he would try to use his power. He would feel his body grow weak and brittle ready to break the longer he used his power. In this though he would learn just how frail and weak his so called power truly was. Absolute hatred was not the most powerful thing in the world. And sci would have to find out just what he was meant to draw on to regain his powers a new.

The thief had seemed to be drowning out the world as her stomach continued to turn inside of her body. Her tears continued to free flow down her cheeks, and the thoughts raced in her head. Her body seemed like it was out of control, and she could do nothing but sit there and take it all full force.
But, suddenly, she heard the soft sound of a woman's voice, and her eyes shot open. Her crying seemed to cease immediately, and her stomach had stopped as if on the drop of a dime. Her mind took a moment to process what she had heard, but then she finally realized it. It was her friend the blonde.
Her head shot up, and she found herself inching closer and closer to the two sisters as they lay on the ground. Her puffy, red eyes looked them up and down. They looked so weak, and she would give anything to be able to assist them in getting better, but their wounds were unimaginable.
"Yune," She started in a still trembling voice, "Yune, if there's anything I can do to help, please!" She offered to the wounded woman in front of her. She wanted to break down in tears again for being such a useless girl, but she knew that wouldn't help.
Just then, she noticed something inching close to the dark haired sister of her friend, and she looked at it, finding it was none other than her tiny plushie companion, Gizmo.
He looked down at the dark haired woman, and plopped his tiny form onto the wooden floor of the temple, sitting patiently.
"Ray," he started as he watched her closely. Yune was Kira's friend, and it seemed now that Ray had a connection with the small toy as his friend had had with the other sister, "Please..."

Bandi smiled at Evan's comment and shook his head "No, father. my beliefs teach me to carry the burden of guilt by myself." lowered his staff out of respect for the man of cloth. "Is that why you are out of the temple and hiding from your lambs?" He asked slyly as he half forced Evan towards the temple.

Evan winced as he was dragged to the temple. "Well, I wouldn't say THAT..." He mumbled. "It's just that I get tired of having to listen to people whine so much. It's always I need this, I need that... Very few actually take time to give thanks for what they have. I want to smack some up the head."

"But aren't you a priest? I thought it was your duty to be a guiding light for the lost souls. You are in a position to pity them, not criticize them." Bandi asked in a slightly surprised manner.

Evan smiled at Bandi's surprised face. "Well, they don't call me the tainted one for nothing..." He laughed and opened the temple doors, only to find a gruesome sight. He ran and slid next to Ray and Yunari. "What happened?!" He asked Kira demanding an explanation.

"Move aside." Bandi instructed Evan and carefully took Ray's wrist and felt for her pulse. "We better move fast if we're going to have any chance of helping her. Yunari's the only one of us who has any ability to heal her appropriately, so the best we could do is...." He stood behind Yunari and placed his palms on her back, and mumbled. "박카스" A blue circle formed beneath the two of them and pumped energy into Yunari. "It's up to you now..."

The silver haired girl looked up at the man as he skid to a stop at the side of the two injured girls in front of her. Her face was still covered in tears, and her eyes puffy from her crying just moments ago. And through her concern for her friends, she found herself confused, as well. Due to this fact, she inched closer to their bodies, her bright blue eyes staring at the two men intensely. Her once confused expression was now exchanged for a protective one as she leaned over the two woman on the floor. She wasn't sure who these men were. But, from the way they had reacted, it seemed they meant them no harm. Even still, she could never be too careful.
"There was this guy," She started, her words beginning to jumble up after that first statement as her thoughts poured into words, "I don't know who he is, or where he came from, or if he was sent here by someone... I don't know anything about him, or his situation with Yune and that other red headed guy, but he came, and he hurt Yune pretty damn bad," She said to him as her eyes fell back to her blonde friend on the floor.
"And it seems like this dark haired girl is taking the blunt of it, as well. I don't know what to do to help, but Yune seems to be trying to heal them."
Then, she was taken from her thoughts as she watched the light forming around them. Her eyes rose to the second band who had entered the temple, and instead of addressing him with her words, she merely stared at him wide eyed. Here was another of those magic users that threw her mind into a frenzy.

Evan looked at Bandi. "If Ray's being hurt because her sister's hurt, I think we address the source, Yunari. It would be like pouring water into a bottomless pot." He turned to the girl who was eyeing him suspiciously. "While you have every reason to doubt us, we're actually trying to help here. Don't worry. I'm the dead priest of this temple and a friend of Ray's" He explained. He then pointed out Yunari's wound to Bandi. "Got anything to help her?"

"I only have the ability to protect and some basic buffer spells. Traditionally the people who follow Hyunmu's way do not involve ourselves directly. We are the one's who protect and aid." He explained. "The best I could do is help Yunari have the strength to do what she has to do."

Yunari gave a small smile and shook her head “ I thank you. Just being like this is enough.” Her sister would not wake but she knew they would be fine. Even if they didn’t know, they soon would so she began to tell them their tale. “ I almost died, and because of this I know about us… we are of the same soul. So if I am injured, so is Ray. But because I can’t heal myself we would die if not for this connection. I can heal Ray and by doing so, it will heal me.” She figured that would ease their worries, however she had not expected such a turn if events. That man, Kei… his name came to her as sure as she could see his soul.
But he would have to wait. She felt her power begin to lessen and it calmed her. She had power pumping into her body but there was only so much she could do. Internal damage was a b***h to fix. But she managed it and soon the skin was pulling together. She watched it, the pale skin sewing up like nothing, not even scar left behind. Yune let out a rough sigh and then looked to Kira. She bit her lip and began to push her body up though she knew she was to weak to do so. “ I have to see Hokyo. I have to see him Now.” the sense of urgency that filled her voice was almost frightening. _________________________
Blake looked to Daton and placed her hand on her stomach. She had a new power, or well it was the baby’s power, either way she could use it. She glanced to the man and then to Dark before returning her attention to her stomach “ I wish to reclaim his body.” She said softly. She knew what was happening, or at least had an idea. But with her powers, with the baby’s powers she could do this. It would be dangerous as she knew what Keishiro had started, however, she would not be seen, nor would she be detected if this power was true. She lifted a hand and looked to Daton, a strange expression took over her face.
“Keishiro…. The father of my child… I will not have his body desecrated.” She soon took a step back and smiled a little. The flow of time continued and the leaves fell to the ground while the ground unfroze itself. She looked to Dark for she knew he would read her mind. She could not think about it, not about the witch who could do miracles, nor about the other things going through her mind. So instead she thought only of the child. Of the pictures that she would share with it, about the grave she would give to him.
With or without Daton’s permission she had her mind made up, even if just this once she had to disobey him.
