"This argument is getting us nowhere. Mark, I can't say you are my most favorite companion right now nor the most dependable but I will trust that you won't hurt Alex in a hurry, correct?" Karin remarked dryly then in response to Aura, she said, "I've been checking out the dagger. It hasn't been contaminated by anything, thank goodness, what matters now is that Alex rests and doesn't move her shoulder too much. What I'm concerned with right now is where this dagger came from." She lapsed back into silence, following the intricate carvings on the dagger handle with her fingertip.

An ivory handle, inlaid with mother of pearl...this dagger handle is too fancy to be my original one...hmm... Karin narrowed her eyes as she traced the outline of the sharp weapon in her hands ruling out possibilities.

Well, it can't be some random person that threw this...too valuable to lose...it has the original blade that my first daggers had so someone must have just replaced the handle...honed to a deadly sharpness and the balance perfected...wait...what are these letters doing at the base of the blade? Karin it up to the light, she could make out two letters. Two "R"s woven together were engraved there.

"Well if you and your buddies are here doing this willingly, without pay that really makes me like so much more!" Alyssa threw back sarcastically.

Mark grolwed lowly at her. "Yea, I'm going to sleep as well."

"Oh please! I'm shaking in my shoes!" Alyssa muttered, rolling her eyes.

"I might, I have an idea on how to find out... I'll be back soon... I would bring Aura, she mentioned finding what I'm going to get early but since she's sleeping I'll go alone." Alyssa told Karin. She planned on going and getting Mr.Gilfax's contact book, he had given her the key to his study not too long ago, perhaps he suspected something like this would happen soon. Alyssa stood up and exited the room on her way to the study, but first she had to go to her room to retrieve the key from the place Mr.Gilfax had told her to hide it.

Alyssa started walking towards her room, then started to run. She climbed up the grand staircase then turned the corner to her room, flinging open the door. Once inside she realized she wasn't alone. A masked person was searching through the doors for something. He was so absorbed in his search he didn't even notice Alyssa. She walked over to him and knocked him out with a swift kick to the head. "Sweet dreams" She muttered. Alyssa opened a cupboard that was cleverly hidden in her closet, it would've been impossible for a stranger to find. She opened it and grabbed the small key, then the room, headed for the study.

Lee pulled back in disgust. "Well, it seems like this interrogation isn't going to get us anywhere. Logically, it's impossible for him to not know anything- he needs a motive to have come here, and no one would come to a mansion like this with an intent to kill without one..." He gave Mark a pointed glare. "And since no methods at all seem to work to getting information from him, he's useless as a captive. We don't know whether the other kidnappers want him back or not; the fact that they're still trying to kill us doesn't tell us much. Arguing with him isn't going to get us anywhere, either..."
He continued musing, standing a distance away with Elias and watching Alex and Mark in the hallway when he heard a thump from the floor above. Seconds later, he saw Alyssa exit her room and head for the study. "Is everything all right?" he called.
