Savanah felt imidiently taken aback. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't know, and if I did..." She stuck out her bottom lip, thinking. "Hm...I understand." She nodded. "It make's sense that you would be scared. I mean...who wouldn't be? That was an awful thing that happened. But I'm also much stronger then Liz. I bet you could use me as a crash test dummy for cars, and I would come out with some dents, but eventually I'd be okay."
She rested her arms around his neck, and laid her head on his chest. "Life sucks, you know that? But its hard to get mad, then stay that way, because every so often...a little glimmer comes along that make's you want to stick around, just to see it. Like my mom being alive. Teyson being here. Coal, my best friend, being here. Me having a real, stable home for once. Having a whole bunch of new, and amazing friends. Jorden, being like a big brother to me. Carter. And...you." She looked up at him, resting her head on her arm. "You help me a lot, you know. Really...if it wasn't for you being here, I mean at Jorden's house, then I would've gone imidiently to go help my mom. But, because I know she's going to be okay, and because you want to stay there...I couldn't leave." She smiled. "And I stopped using razors. Have you noticed that? I haven't used them once, since...I can't remember, actually. I know it may not seem like it, Adrian...but you help me so much. That's why I don't love Dimitri. Because he didn't help me through all of this, like you did. You helped me stop hurting myself. You helped me find a good home, with a family. You helped me find something worth living for. And I can never, ever forget that. No matter what, or who come's along."

Savanah smiled happily. "Mama would absolutly love that. She's going to love you!" She kissed him for a long time, then pulled back. She pursed her lips. "Hmm...I kinda want to meet your mom. Hey, can I scare the crap outta her, like shift right in front of her?" She said excitedly. "That would be awesome!" She laughed, smiling. "Is your dad nicer? Because I don't want to be mean to him if you like him." She murmured. Her cell pinged. She glared, annoyed, at it, and looked at the text. It was from Dimitri. But it looked like he had just come from kindergarden. 'Isnd tofet befongt bakeco aocebciosnt
She stared at it, then texted back, WHAT?
Suddenly, the phone started ringing. Dimitri was calling her. She picked up. "Uh...do you have a concousion?"
"Mommy!" Carter's voice said gleefully.
Savanah broke out into smiles. "Hey baby. How are you doing?"
"Uncle Dimitri lewt me twext!" He giggled.
Ohh...explains so much... "I saw that. Hey, honey, guess what?"
He giggled in delight. "What!"
"Your getting a baby sister." She smiled at Adrian.
Carter went balistic, laughing, and squealing. "When!!"
"When we come home, okay? We'll be coming home...in...lets say three days, okay? Then you get to see her. Her name is Julia." Savanah pulled her knees up to her chest, and leaned her head on them. "What do you think? She has a pretty name, doesn't she?"
"Pwetty! Can I talk to Daddy please?" He went sober.
"Aw...your learning manners. Good boy, Carter. And yes, you can. Tell Williem to give you a cookie or something because you've been good." She smiled.
Carter, again, went nuts. "Willllliiiilllliiiiiiiaaaaaammmmmm!!! Mommy said I get a cookie!!!" He squealed in the utmost joy.
Savanah laughed. "Get after we hang up, okay? Here's Daddy." She handed the phone to Adrian.
"Daddy!! Mommy said I get a cookie!" Carter cried in delight. "She said I get a cookie, a baby sister, and what are you going to get me?" He tripped over his words, trying to get them out so fast. "I want another cookie!! I miss you Daddy!! Uncle Dimitri's playing with me, but Uncle Jet, and Uncle Kaidne, and Uncle Jorden won't." His huge pout was heard in his voice. "Aunt Melody doesn't let Uncle Rudi come play with me anymore, and he keeps screaming..."

Carter was about to run off in hiding to eat his cookie, but he remembered what Mommy said. He made a pouty face, like he was thinking, then looked up at Williem, with the biggest smile on his face. "Thank you!" He said sweetly, and hugged him, tactically without dropping it. Then, he ran into the kitchen to eat it, like Mommy had told him to do before. 'Eat in the kitchen okay honey?' she had said. Carter climbed up onto the table, and saw Kaidne. Carter smiled in delight. "Uncle Kaidne! Uncle Kaidne! Look what Williem gave me!" He held up his prize, then sat it down on the counter. He leaned forward, tottering towards the edge of the table, but not falling off. "Will you play with me now?" He pouted saddly. "Only Uncle Dimitri will play with me..." He broke off a peice of the cookie, and started munching on it. He tottered even closer to the edge.

Savanah curled her lip in disgust. "You know, I might shift outside, and come in snarling." She muttered so only Adrian could hear. "Dammit..." She growled. "I'd ask to eat her, but then again, I'd have to shift back into human again...and live with knowing I'm ate someone."

Savanah cocked an eyebrow at him. "Hmmm hmm."
(You know the show, Everybody Hate's Chris? How his mom, Richelle, does that to him? Imagine that.)
"Have you ever known me to 'stay out of it'?" She said, as if she were insulted. "Hmph." She plopped back on the couch, and started drinking her almost forgotten Pepsi. "Seeing my Mama is going to be a good thing for you. Get a taste of a real, good mama. She's one of those old fashioned mom's, you know?" She looked at him, a smile in her eyes at the thought of her Mama. "She's protective, and she loves me a lot. I just wish you could get to meet my dad...and the rest of my family...they would've loved you..." She sighed. "But you get to meet Mama, and that's all that we need." Her eyes smiled again, because her mouth wouldn't. She was still troubled by Adrian's mother.

Carter grabbed the still nearly full cookie, and hopped off the counter. "By Uncle Kaidne!" He said cheerfully, then went to find Jet. When he did, he had the tip of the cookie in his mouth as he chewed on it. He tapped Jet's leg.
((Asuming he's standing up, heehee.))
"Uncle Jet, look what Williem gave me." He held up his cookie again. "Uncle Kaidne said you need me to play with you. Uncle Jet, why aren't you and Uncle Kaidne with each other? Aren't you married? Like Mommy and Daddy?" He said. He figured, of course, that Savanah and Adrian were married. He noticed something was wrong with Jet, and pouted. "Uncle Jet?" He broke off a peice of the cookie, and held it out to him.

Carter smiled at the dog. "Pwetty doggie. Mawybelle, right, Uncle Jet?" He looked up at him again, and broke off a peice of cookie for the dog. Then he gasped in that child horror kids got. "Doggies can't have chocolate. My old Mommy told me that." He said knowingly, then found a peice without chocolate chips, and gave that to the dog. "She's pwetty. Oh, Uncle Jet! Mommy and Daddy say I'm getting a bawby siwster!" He said around cookie in his mouth. He swallowed then smiled, and showed surprisingly white teeth, seeing how he was eating chocolate. He also didn't have sticky fingers, or mouth, like kids usually got. He patted Maybelle. "Mommy said her name is J...J..." He scrunched up his face in concentration. "Ju..lia....Julia." He giggled, happy he got the name right. "Daddy said he's going to get me something, because Mommy got me a cookie, and a baby sister." He nodded, chewing on more of his prize. Then he remembered something. "Mommy told me that you and Uncle Kaidne love each other. You don't anymore?" He pouted in utter child depression. "I'm sorry Uncle Jet." He gave him a one armed hug, and set his cookie down. "I love you, Uncle Jet." He smiled happily, and pointed at Maybelle. "Mewbelle say's she loves you too." He gently pushed the dogs head up, then back down. "See?" He giggled.

Savanah broke the kiss off, and sighed against his lips. "...This...could cause some problems with your mom, if she saw us..." She whispered unevenly, her breath coming in slight pants. Still, against her own advice, she twined her fingers into his hair, and pressed herself closer.

Carter was pleased that Jet was smiling, but confused that he was crying. He stuck out his bottom lip. "Uncle Jet?"

Savanah sighed smiled against Adrian's lips. "Oblivious much?" She whispered. "Its like they have some 'see no evil' thing goin' on..." She used one hand to cup Adrian's cheek, and the other to feel under his shirt. She ran her fingers lightly over his stomach, and chest.
"I always laughed when people said this...but you feel good." She moaned.

Savanah laughed. "Ohhh....don't say that....That sounds sooo stupid..." She smiled.

Carter hopped off of Jet's stomach, picked up his cookie, and went into the kitchen. He held it out to Williem. "Williem? Could I save this for later please?" He smiled sweetly. "I'm not hungry anymore." He went back to Jet, found the game he and Dimitri were playing earlier. "Uncle Jet!" He held the box out to him. "Can we play this?" The box had a pretty design on it, saying Candy Land. "Its a lot of fun. But it make's me want my cookie again..."

((Ugh...I freaking hate that saying...my dad always said that, espcially when we were fighting about something or other. I would blink longer then 'nessisary' and he would be like 'don't cop an attitude!' and I would be like 'wuuuu?' and he told me how I blinked for a longer amount of time, and I would be like 'wtc? whats wrong with blinking?!' apparently when I'm annoyed, I blink longer then nessisary. I have failed to notice this. I would tell him I was just blinking, and he would say 'actions speak louder then words' and it would start all over again until we were talking about something totally different then the thing we were arguing about, like, cake, or something. I'm not serious. And we would either be laughing, sober, or angery still. Our convos are really...really complicated. They should be on Oprah!!!!))

Carter had just set out the game when Dimitri came down from the stairs. His hair was even darker then usual, and heavy with water. He wore dark jeans, hanging low on his waist, and nothing else. He smiled a barely there smile at Carter. "You're going to play with Jet now?" He murmured quietly.
Carter nodded absentmindedly. He was trying to figure out which color player he wanted to be. Blue, or red, because the other colors were girls. Only the blue and red figures were boys. And Carter just HAD to be a boy or it would ruin the whole game. Finally, he picked red, because he had been blue the last game. He placed it at the starting mark, and put the blue figure behind it. "That's mine." Carter said, pointing out the red one. "And that's yours." He moved his finger to the blue one. Of course, Carter automatically asumed that Jet would also be the boy.
((Remember when we played this at my house, and I was the blue one? I don't give a damn if its a boy or a girl, I'm going to be the blue one!))
Dimitri saw the look of slight confusion on Jet's face, and pointed to the cards. "You pick up a card, and see what color block it is. If its...yellow, you go to the nearest yellow block on the board. That's your move. If it has two yellow blocks on the card, you go to the next yellow block on the board. And if you get one of these cards-" He held up a card with a picture of one of the candy people on the board. "-you go to their space. This can be helpful, or harmful. Even if that space is behind you, you have to go to it. Its pretty easy, but still fun."
Carter found something Dimitri failed to mention. "Oh! And if you get on this space, by the bridge," He pointed to a bridge by a yellow space on the board," You get to cross it if you want to. And if you get on one of these spaces-" He pointed to a space with a big black dot in the middle of it-" You can't move until you get that same color again. And you can't win until you get the exact color at the end. But sometime's you can make up a color you have to get to win. Uncle Dimitri and I picked green last time, right Uncle Dimitri?" He smiled.
Dimtiri smiled back and motioned to the board, as if to say, let the game begin.

Savanah rolled her eyes. "Your such a dork..."
