Lin thought about it before answering, "Yes, if for no other reason than the fact I haven't seen them in a long while, which could be said about the majority of the people I know. They're so spread out that it'll take a while to visit everyone."
Not just at the Ranch but she wanted to talk to Alyse and Timeaus again, and of course Adan and Rose, and actually talk to Ulrich and Ulani, and of course she couldn't forget Shael, Cindy, Adonai, Aliya and....
"Lots of people," Lin murmured revising her list once more.

Earendil smiled at her. "Do you mind if I tag along?" he asked hopefully. "I know it will be different for you, not doing your visiting and such alone, and I'll understand if you would rather I didn't ..."
After all, she was used to being on her own here, it would be very different having him around. At least, that was how he saw it.

"Well you need to get to know all of them sometime, and it would be much easier if I introduced you," Lin pointed out, "Otherwise it'll be awkward for you later."
Besides the point of visiting is to tell people what was going on in her life and what was going on in theirs. Her life often was linked with Earendil since they always traveled together, so to her it made sense.
"Besides, some of these people are your relatives and you also should visit them."

Earendil stared at Lin. "Besides Uncle Elrohir and Haradhel and their family?" he asked her, surprised. But when he thought about it, he had to blush. "Right ... Rhea's family, which then includes her grandparents - that's Ulani and Ulrich, right? - and whatever other family they have."
He snapped his fingers suddenly. "Hey, isn't Celebor here with his family or something?"

"Yes, Celebor's family lives in the valley... Alyse is Aliya's daughter who is Ulani and Ulrich's daughter, meaning those little girls we saw are Ulani and Ulrich's granddaughters. Adan of course has his family, he is Ulani and Ulrich's grandson.... and of course there is Aliya herself, her husband and Adonjah, who as far as I know isn't married yet."
Between the fact the boy was shy (though far more social now), finding someone to be with is hard when it was rare that anyone new comes in.
"I think that's it..."

Earendil laughed. "Well, I can't remember all of that right now, so I won't even bother trying. I'm sure it will make more sense when I meet them in person."
They reached the dining room, and the table was already set for them. They were welcomed, and thus their meal began.
After dinner, it was a matter of finding places for everyone to sleep - which, now that the slavery in the north was over and done with, there were many empty beds.

For Lin, finding 'her' room wasn't that difficult. She had been coming to the Borderlands for so long that she did have a room (her family did have it's own wing after all), where she did sometimes keep stuff in there all the time.
Though some of those items were clothes long out grown or items that she no longer had a use for, but it was her room and it was as familiar to her as her own room at home.
It was no surprise that the next morning Lin was carrying Miyuki with one arm and dragging along Earendil with the other hand to see Caranthir. To see if they could get some answers about him, though she warned Earendil that there was a chance he would dance around the questions.

"You also told me that Aerin doesn't speak, and that Aragost is mysterious," Earendil chuckled as he followed after Lin. "So either something has changed here since we came, or else you weren't quite being honest with me."
He grinned at her. He was teasing of course. But how could he not? It was true after all.
"So where are we looking for him?" he asked, looking around.

"Okay... the whole Aragost is mysterious part... when I was little I was told to not spread it around of his relation... and by the time things lightened up about it... I forgot."
She honestly did, it was easy to forget that Aragost was Aldrich because when she thought of Aragost she didn't think all powerful first elf, she thought of Miyu, and tracking lessons and things like that.
"And, we'll see if he's in his room, since I don't know the patrol timetable."
Lin let go of his hand to open the door and lead him inside, "Careful, it's dark."

Earendil followed her inside. "Hold up a moment," he said, stopping in the darkness. He put his hands together and closed his eyes, and his hands began to glow. He stayed like that for a moment, then opened his eyes, though the glow did not fade.
"Here," he smiled, opening his hands to show Lin an electric blue rose, much like the ones he had given her as a child, though more realistic and far brighter now. He tucked it into Lin's hair. "Keep it," he smiled. "I don't know if you still have your other ones or not, but ... it will keep glowing as long as you're doing anything to do with me, either being with me, or thinking of me."
He shrugged. "Don't ask me why, that's just how it works."

Lin smiled softly at that, she remembered vividly her childhood full of whimical flowers. She liked them as a child and of course had kept them, they were pieces of her childhood she wasn't willing to let go.
"I do keep them," she admitted as she continued to show him the way, "In my jewelery box."
She had put them in there before traveling.
Miyuki's eyes were fancistated by the glowing blue thing, it was pretty so it was no surprise she was waving her arms up in the air for it.

Earendil smiled, and he was glad of the darkness. It meant that Lin couldn't see the redness of his face. And he was sure it had to be quite red: it was very warm, to say the least.
"So where is his room?" he asked, looking around. "Seems a bit difficult to find anything in here ..."

"Up the stairs and three doors down," Lin replied, she knew the room of course like the back of her hand, "It use to be Elros' room so I don't have to think about it too hard."
Her other mentor, she really wished she could have visited more, but as her father had once pointed out, there was only one of her. Carefully she walked up the steps even now she knew where it was, it was like riding a bike.
"Careful of the stairs, don't hit your feet."

"Got it," Earendil nodded, following Lin. It was kind of interesting, how it illuminated the side of her head they way he had positioned it, and in its glow he could see the very tips of Miyuki's fingers as she reached for it.
Once they reached the top of the stairs, there was the sound of a door opening and closing, and in that brief instant where the door was open, Caranthir could be seen, his pale blue robes disappearing into his bedroom.

"Ah perfect timing," Lin murmured as she made her way to the proper door, "Now don't have to worry about finding him."
She raised her fist and knocked twice since she figured she wouldn't need anymore than that.
