"I'll try." Lee flatly said, pulled from her trance. "I'm going to walk around a bit, I'll meet up with you once the lesson starts." She then explored the bit of land where the group was occupied. The trees, brush, and the few animals that were all wrapped up for the winter. The stripe on her pants dully shone in the winter sun. "Almost feels like home..." she said to herself. She leaned against a large tree, and did a little meditating herself; just simply clearing her mind and organizing her thoughts.

"Okay everyone, if you're all done pairing up lets keep moving. If I'm not mistaken, there are some Mesmerizes not to far from here, so we'll go take them on first!" Aki says, pointing off in the distance.

"Mesmerizes? What are those?" Shiro said with excitement, hopping off of his staff, landing with a light thud on the cold ground. "Oh wait, I think I use to have one of those in my deck. Umm...they have a big curvy horn right? Heh heh heh, Imma get me one of them horns as a trophy." He said with a big grin as he pulled his staff up from the ground and slid it back into it's sling. "Looks like it's time for the fun part. Come one Lee, let's show these guys what we're made of!" He called out as he started stretching.

"Hmmm, mesmerizes. Never seen one before, well up close anyway." She pondered a moment. "I think I'll use the horn to make some better arrows." Lee started to stretch as well, she wasn't too concerned about any dangers. Shiro seemed to know what he was doing, and what she had heard about the animal, it only casts recovery magic. She arched her back and brought her foot up to her head, and after a minute or two, repeated the same with the other leg.

"Mesmerizes huh, well I think I'm going to enjoy myself then and I know these type of monster can recover if they need to" Hunter look back at Torruun "Alright Torruun, let me see how well you can handle these monster and don't worry as i got your back" Hunter drew his katana as he was ready to get this lesson underway and hope his partner was ready as well

Torruun drew his staff, and smiled. "Alright, let's go. If you have my back, I guess I don't have much to worry about." Torruun then began to think about what he knew about mesmerizes, which was next to nothing, and decided to think about what spells he should use first.

"Okay." Lee said. "I got your six." she started to ready her crossbow and knives. "I'm actually kind of ecxited right now." she said to Shiro. Not only was she going to see a mesmerize, but she would finally get some battle experience in other than the monsters at the training center.

"Heh heh, good. War games training or even real battle, there's no point taking part if you're not gonna enjoy yourself a little. The field is my home, the battle where I belong." As Shiro spoke he took he started to box the air, hopping left and right as he dodged invisible attacks and kicked up high above his head. This was his favorite part of the headmistress's class, even if he didn't retain any of the actual information. "I may not be able to cover you with range attacks but I know some protective spells. We'll tear them apart."

Aki chuckles at Shiro's description of the Mesmerizes, then says, "Yes, pretty much. You'll see when we get there."
She motions for the group to follow her and walks through the snow for about ten minutes or so before a group of Mesmerizes appear. There are ten of them spread out slightly, and they appeared to be grazing. She stops a few yards away, but the mesmerizes notice the group and become agitated. They start stomping their hooves and slashing their horns through the air in an agressive manner.
"Alright everyone, they've spotted us, so grab your partner and lets see what you've got! Each pair pick one Mesmerize and attack. Call me over if you need help!" she says, giving the signal to attack.

Shiro was grinning the entire time from ear to ear, following the headmistress making sure to stay no more than a few paces away from his partner the whole time. He was excited, and as they approached the group of enemies he could hardly stand it any more. "Heh heh heh, wait for an opening Lee!" Shiro said as wasted no time slipping on his steel knuckles, rushing at the closest Mesmerize he could see. The beast was highly agitated and took an aggressive stance ready to swipe at Shiro with it's impressive looking horn. "Alright horsey, show me what you've got!" The creature swiped at Shiro, but he leaped high into the air and dodged the attack, landing on the Mesmerize's back. The beast bucked and kicked trying to get him off as Shiro rode the thing backwards as if this were a rodeo, laughing as he held on on as best he could until the monster was finally able to buck him off by jabbing him in the back with it's long curved horn. Hitting the ground hard with a thud Shiro continued to grin as he rubbed his back. "Ouch...heh heh heh, totally worth it." The Mesmerize was glaring at him now angry as hell as Shiro got to his feet, charging him with it's horn. Shiro smirked and shot a glance at Lee as a green aura came over him. The Protect spell barely finished casting as the beast hit Shiro, the horn barely grazing his shoulder as he wrapped his arms around it's neck and pushed back. He planted his feet in the dirt as best he could, getting pushed back a few inches at a time as he tried to hold the beast as still as he could. "Make it count partner!" He called through gritted teeth as his muscles pushed hard to overpower nature.

"alright Torruun, lets get this party started, be sure to wait for a opening as I'm going to provide one for you" Hunter ready his katana as the Mesmerize he had chosen look strong and could help Torruun for future battle as the Mesmerize charged at Hunter to attack with its curved horn Hunter rolled to the right side as the attack missed, Hunter charged at the Mesmerize to counter his attack as he slash his katana at the beast as the Mesmerize was able to dodge his attack "damn I'm starting to get a little rusty on swords work" The Mesmerize charge once again as it was attemping to attack with it horn as Hunter block with his katana as he look at Torruun "Nows your chance to attack Torruun and make it count and make it fast" Hunter knew it was hard to keep his feet grounded while trying to push against the Mesmerize

Lee threw 2 of her knives, one glancing off the mesmerize's horn, the other landing squarely on it's haunches. She quickly loaded an arrow into her bow, while the creature stomped it's hooves in frustration. It then charged for her, but she rolled away at the last minute and retaliated with another shot to the hindquarters. "These things sure have a temper." she said to Shiro. But at that moment, the mesmerize turned and charged for her again, giving a blow to her left shoulder with it's curved horn. "Ugh..." Lee said as she got to her feet again. Pay attention! she yelled at herself. You must track all threats until they are gone!

"Shoot, better make sure we're both covered first." Shiro said as he hurried to his Partner's side, the Mesmerize charging at him for another attack. Shiro took the charge in the back, the protect reducing the damage of the blow enough that he was able to ignore the sting and cast protect on Lee. "Doesn't look too bad, I think you'll be alright." Shiro said as his eyes remained locked onto the enemy. "Heh heh heh, if they didn't have a temper then this wouldn't be fun." Shiro said as he charged the Mesmerize to give Lee another opening. "Alright horsey, keep your eyes on the prize!" Shiro banged his knuckles together as he dove to the side just as the Mesmerize was going to strike again, delivering a few hard blows into the creature's sides causing it to stumble back a bit as it cried out.

Torruun quickly cast a Fira spell on the mesmerize, catching it off-guard. The intense flames burned it, and caused it to stumble a little. "Your turn!" Torruun shouted the moment he saw the beast stumble. He was so excited, he forgot how cold he was. Zil cheered Torruun on from inside his head.

"Thanks Shiro." Lee said as she quickly loaded another bow and let it fly straight into the Mesmerize's vitals. It was now angrier than ever, but Lee could sense that it was weakening. With her eyes trained on the monster, she loaded another arrow and set it's sights on the mesmerize, waiting for another opening.
