Not really. wink There are three values prized among modern dogfighters. Speed, rate of climb, and armament. Just gotta find a way to balance the three.
Before that, it was rate of climb, turning radius, and armament. Course, the Germans learned in WWI with their Triplane, and the Japanese with their zeroes that being able to turn tighter means squat if the enemy can outrun you.
(Also the reason why the SR was so successful as a spyplane. Not even SAMs or Air to Air missiles could catch it.)
Course, there are occasional examples that disprove the speed over turning theory. The, what was it called, the Thunder during the Vietnam war suffered heavily against the SAMs, MiGs, and AA fire, even though they were the fastest fighter in the skies.

he, my mecha is a combo of flight ability and ground abilitys, however since its in such a wrecked state it can only use it smaller thrusters for short distance flight and it can't get to high.
I will post all the info up, but ive got to head out right now, ive gota pick up my pay check and Ive got a D&D group to get to xd .

I was actually talking about design wise. This baby goes up to Mach 7! Wooooo!!! whee / Got most of her done but changing the wing type into forward swept.
