starbolt22 You know you're a marching band geek when you start to absentmindedly count your steps in your head.... "walk 2 3 4 5 6 7 8.... turn 2 3 4..." Thank you for voicing my literal thoughts lol

When you count your steps in your head -When you cant stand to listen to music in a different tempo then your steps -You have to match your tempo or your brain gets cooked trying to count two different tempos at the same time

When you hold out a full conversation with your Bass Clarinet Frank, on the bus, and people are looking at you strangly.
*I also get our band songs stuck in my head, *I have to find the beat to every song *I start clapping the beat when I am humming/ whistling a song *I name and treat all my insterments like real people with real feelings. *I also decorate my instermants. *I can't stand hearing wrong notes *I have to match the notes up perfectly when I sing along to songs. *And I can't stand it when people sing along to songs and they are are out of tune *I hate it when I hear two sounds (like a bell or people singing) and they are out of tune. It sounds so bad! *I look up and listen to our band songs on YouTube, and get mad if they don't have them, or they are played badly. (Frank has tinsle on his bell)

As a trumpet player someone complains in the trumpet section,"I am thirsty, I want water or soda", You reply,"We are Trumpets we only drink value oil."

BlizzardChord You know your in band when...
All your friends are in band too.
Your best friend and you met at a band show.
All the other band/cross-country runners run in step with you.
When you believe your plume is alive.
You make songs to the metronome at band camp.
You go around saying "Only 3 more days till the football game."
You tell your boyfriend/girlfriend you can't see them until after the band show.
Your friday night dates consist of your significant other seeing you during 3rd quarter. My boyfriend and I actually fought about the last one because he doesn't get enough time with me. Gaaaah.
