"Don't try me." Bradley murmured in response to the topic of not being able to drain her quick enough to kill her. He was now faced with a choice: go with her and avoid killing her, or leave her and have her killed by her father. The last time he had left her side, the latest fiasco had happened, so he decided to go with her, no matter the 'danger' of it. "So am I." He said finally, following her closely. She meant way too much to lose.

Marie's lips curled up into a very small smile when he said he was going home too. He had followed behind her closely, she reached back and grabbed his hand with her clean one. Her cut was only looking a bit like a scar now, now blood coming forth. "Thanks...and you know..things are gonna get rough for us..." She said, referring to her father and his abusive ways. "You can leave at any time you'd like...I'd understand...I don't want you to stay because you feel the need to protect me.."

"I'm not going anywhere, goofy." Bradley responded with a slight smile. "I don't care what he could do to us. I'm not leaving." His eyes trailed to the ground, while he made tiny circles with his thumb on the back of Marie's hand. "He'll have to kill me before I give up the fight." Bradley meant what he had said, but in his intonation almost made it a challenge.

Marie was glad that her cut was healed, now she just needed to clean up. She didn't bother to comment on his statements, and the circles he traced on the back of her hand were comforting. It figured that they wouldn't have a normal relationship together. Who cared? They weren't normal anyways. "I don't want you to die though...Bradley..." Marie trailed off, looking back at him with a pained look, the thought of him being gone forever, it wasn't a good one.
A few moments after that, Marie saw her house through the woods. She turned around and chanced a quick kiss on his cheek before taking to the trees to enter her bedroom window. As soon as her shoes touched the carpet, she began taking off the bloodstained clothing and tossing it in a pile to be washed or burned, either one. However, before her tanktop and jeans were removed, she grabbed some terrycloth shorts and a t-shirt to change into, heading into the bathroom to finish up. In there she took a damp rag and began getting the dried blood off of her skin.

'I don't want you to die'... 'I don't want you to die...' Marie's words playing on an endless cycle in his brain, nearly causing him to flinch at every repetition. He walked lazily until he was underneath her window, and contemplated going inside or giving her some time. He decided on the latter, and fought hard with the weather until he convinced it to rain. Bradley loved the rain; it had a way of cleansing his troubled soul, if only for a moment or so. He walked out onto the street, where the rain soaked his dark hair, and spattered his jacket. He did a small loop around the town, before ending back up at Marie's house. He hoped he had given her enough time to get dressed before he jumped straight up to and the window.

Marie hadn't taken long to get changed once she got all the blood cleaned off of her. She walked out of the bathroom and found that he hadn't followed her inside. Even though it was cool in her house, wearing shorts didn't bother her. So, she walked over and turned on her ipod that was in the ihome dock. It was then that she noticed it began to rain.
Bradley. That was the first thought as she caught his scent moments before he jumped through the window. She instantly smiled at him, glad he had returned. The song Beautiful Dangerous came on her ipod, playing loudly through her speakers as she went and wrapped her arms around his neck. It caused her to smirk, because that was exactly what he was, beautiful and dangerous. "What took you so long?" She asked curiously.

Unable to resist her smile, Bradley smiled back at Marie. He put his hands on her hips, and listened to the song, smirking also. "I went for a walk... I wanted to enjoy the rain." He responded, unable to wipe the smile off of his face. "Are you... all healed up?" He asked with a little hesitation, eyeing the slight scar. He knew atleast the surface was healed, but whether or not her body had actually healed was another story.

Marie nodded in understanding. "Ah, I thought it was you who started the rain..." She stated, leaning up to kiss him on the cheek. "And, yes, it is all healed up...the scar will disappear after a few hours..." She explained, the cold of his skin against hers was oddly comforting. Marie rested her head on his chest, not caring that he was practically drenched with rain.
"We can live forever...I can be your pagan angel...angel...beautiful dangerous..." She sang along softly to Fergie's vocals. She felt safe in Bradley's arms. At least she hadn't gotten a concussion like the night before. He didn't need to fret over her now. Still, she hated putting him through all that drama and pain.

Bradley smiled when she placed her head on his stony chest, and softly stroked her hair with one hand. "Forever, huh?" Bradley asked, hearing her sing quietly with the vocals to the song. "Forever sounds nice to me." He hugged her close to his body, putting his chin ontop of her head. But how much of this bloody torture could he take? How long would it be until he was forced to still her beating heart?

Marie nodded slightly at his question. "Yes..it does, doesn't it..." She stated in agreement. However, if they wanted to last that long, it seemed that there was one obstacle they needed to get rid of. "We have to get rid of my father...." She stated in a flat tone. Sure, it was her father she was talking about, but, she couldn't really care less about him. Especially after how he treated her all her life. She pulled her head back from his chest to look up at him in the eyes. "It's the only way we won't have to worry about him anymore..."

Bradley's face went grave as he looked downwards at Marie. "I'm not going to kill him." He said in a dull monotone. "I won't... and you certainly can't." He stared down at her with his jaw clentched. Death was a touchy topic for Bradley. He'd rather fight a vampire a million times than kill them once. But would he cross that line if it meant Marie's life? Of that, he wasn't sure.

Marie bit her lip. She hadn't quite expected that reaction from him. Of course, why should she expect him to agree with her on that issue anyways. Death seemed far worse a fate than anything else for a vampire. "Sorry..." She mumbled before burying her head in his chest once again. Also, he might not want to take that action because he wasn't sure how things between the two of them would go. So, instead of bringing up that issue, she hugged him closer to her.

"The first death is painful," Bradley said very softly, "more painful than you could possibly imagine." He knew she had never experienced the pain of "first death", or becoming a vampire. She had just been born with the venom in her blood. "I can only imagine how painful final death is." He mumbled, pressing his face into the top of her head and hugging her close.

Marie had heard stories from her mentor about the transformation from human to vampire. She couldn't imagine having the feeling of fire running through her veins. Though, with her rapid heartbeat, she'd probably change faster than any normal human. Though, she wasn't going to say that aloud to Bradley. At his last statement, though, she was a bit confused. "I thought you couldn't feel pain..." She stated softly, musing aloud. She could be wrong, she had know way of knowing for herself. "Other than the thirst, I mean...." She amended, taking a deep breath in, taking in his scent. It was so appealing to her, she was surprised she hadn't noticed it earlier.

Bradley stared off into space, obviously shaken by the memory of his first death. He grimaced lightly before finally responding to her musings. "That's generally true, but I'm pretty damned sure I could feel being burned to death." He answered, wincing at the mention of being burned. "Fire... I felt the fire the first time... but that was only in my veins. I can only imagine what it would be like to be engulfed in fire." His words were eerie and grim, but he spoke them in the same manner someone might be explaining their grim fate to a family member. Suddenly, his eyes slammed shut and he ground his teeth together, fighting off the memory of a friend reaching their final death. "The screams... the pleas... the screams..." He mumbled, engulfed in what he had seen only a year before.
