Arch the Angel "Two cence?" Jarred piped up. "Not exactly a good guy thing to go killing some random kid so we can use their skeleton as a decoy." Rook turned to Jarred, rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah, that's something they'd do. But, it's not writ that it even has to be human. Amonia and heat breaks down DNA, making it difficult to trace who's remains are what... What if we get a few random bones and leave them there? Once we soak 'em in any amonia-based cleaner and burn them... THey won't be able to tell."

Kat let out a small chuckle, "I don't believe any of us have ever claimed to be the good guys anyway, cranberry boy." She walked towards Jarred, a slight look of surprise on her face, "I'm actually tempted to kiss you." She let out a short sigh and gave his cheek a tap, "but it would be for all the wrong reasons, and I'd rather not pick up the habit."
She turned and picked up what she assumed to be her bag of things, opening it up to check inside and be sure. "Rook, don't get yourself killed, all right? Roxy, start using a damned nickname. And Mandy..or whatever," she said looking to Maya, "don't trust the ottoman."

Skulblaka Sol Makina ------------- Maya looked at Roxy nervously. "Umm....Noo? I can't shake the feeling that something is wrong here though...." Maya looked around again, then a look of shock came over her face, followed by panic. "Hello? HELLO?! Oh...Oh no!" She fluttered about nervously, touching things and putting her ear close to them. "Oh man..What's going on?" Roxanna looked at Maya closely, her eyes concerned, "can you not hear them?" She turned briefly to glance at Adam, a frown on her lips, "Your father, if he were caught helping us, would be killed. That aside, do you believe he'd be able to keep the secret?"

I don't hear anyone else t-talking," he took one deep breath and exhaled slowly, "OK, sorry, you can take me to the restroom now, thanks..."

Roxanna lowered her voice to a slight whisper, "that or she's crazy and just happens to be rather lucky with her delusions." Roxanna moved his hand to the door knob of the bathroom. "We're not going to do that to your Dad. If necessary I can find a way to deliver you back to your family without trouble. I'm not sure how safe that would leave you, though. But we will see."

You yourself said you couldn't hide as well as I could, and you're the best at manipulating folks we got, Kat. You leave now, and you're making it easier for all of us to get caught. We need you with us, Kat. Like it or not, the lot of us are all having to play as a team now. We can't let you go out and get whacked by Lincoln."

Adam just nodded slowly, turning the knob and stepping inside, accidentally hitting Zipper in the mussel. The dog yipped, Adam quickly opening the door again, "Fine, I don't know why you want to follow me to the bathroom too..." Closing the door after he felt Zipper brush past him safely in the bathroom, Adam went about his business. He did not want to go back, especially with Mr Lincoln there, but have his dad believe that he's dead? Neither choice sounded all that great to him. After locating a towel after washing his hands he emerged from the bathroom, leaving the door open. He merely ran his hand along the wall until he felt a chair and sat down, Zipper resting his head in his lap.

"Oh, ok! Digging up children's bones, busting out the teeth, and then lighting them on fire. That won't stop a supervillain from coming after us." Jarred paused at Kat's motions, but didn't make a move to stop her. "You, Rook, not we, just kidnapped what I've gathered is the kid to a super villain? One of the big guys of the Keepers?" He threw his hands up, standing. "Since when is that a good idea? We can save the youth of today when we're not dead!" He turned to look at Adam. "No offense kid, I'm sure living with a rich super-powered man is terrible, but he's not going to try and get torturous vengeance on you." He turned back to Rook. "You need priorities, man. I don't mean get them straight, I mean get them, because this is crazy. You kidnapped the one person the Keeper's don't want dead, and unless we're gonna leave them a DVD of us threatening the kid, you just gave us another liability."
"Again, kid, no offense."

"I'm not leaving the team, Rook. I'll still be available to call and help out. But I am going to head out on my own for a bit. For one, I need the space, and things seem a little cramped here as is." She glanced at the bed with a half smile, "I'm betting Jarred guy was going to play gentleman again and try to cram all the girls in a bed, right?" She gave a glance at Jarred, "Well to be honest I find that just as awkward as sleeping with a strange man." She let out a small breath moving her gaze to Rook. "And don't take this personally, but I'm not so sure how much I can trust you, particularly if you still feel such an allegiance to a councilman. Even if it was one of the more judicial council members," Kat hesitated, "I have something of a prejudice towards the council. I may have to tell you how I became a slider some day."

"Just take me back," he titled his head upward, eyes set in front of him, "If I'm going to just make things bad for everyone, take me back. Drop me off somewhere and I can get a hold of my dad."
One hand moved over his chest, resting upon his Keeper sign, symbol, whatever his dad called it, that hung from his neck. He surprised himself that he hadn't stuttered yet, "Maybe I can be useful now...I mean, we don't like Mr Lincoln. Maybe I can be like, an inside person? A spy?"
Adam smiled to himself, proud that he actually came up with an idea instead of standing by idling.

Rook shot Jarred a look, and not a nice one. He knew he was right, but wasn't about to hand the kid back over to Lincoln.
He looked to Kat, shaking his head. "You going out into the city is about as good of an idea as letting Roxy or Adam do their thing out there... You can't hide yourself as well as you'd like, you even said that yourself, and I'm supposed to just take this on the level? If you want to get yourself killed, I can think of a whole variety of ways to make it less painful than the hell Lincoln can think of," He took a deep breath, before adressing the group, "Speaking of Lincoln, He has got to get gone. We need to kill him, or dispose of him, and then we take the kid back. I'm not at all keen with leaving the kid with the Keepers... But if he can get us any idea about what's going on inside... Then we can make something happen. But, it's going to be hell getting him back with Lincoln still around... So, can we all agree on that?"

"I wouldn't say we give him back at all. The kid knows too much, we give him back and he might tell them where they are. I'd rather not be on the run myself." He shrugged, glancing at Kat. "You sure you've got to leave?"

Kat shook her head, "Do not tell me I can't fend for myself, Rook. You don't know me, and you have a heroic impulse that makes you unstable and a little untrustworthy. Don't try to coddle me, or control me, even if it's for my own damn good. It'll just get my boot smashed into your face. Are we clear?"
Kat glanced at Jarred and made a noncommittal gesture with her head. "We'll see. For now, it looks like a I'll stay a bit. If anything, I might bring some sanity into the mix. But if I stay now, I expect all of you to let me go, unchallenged, if the situation sours."
"As for the boy, Jarred is right, we can't give him back. He may not tell them where we are, hell, I'm sure he may do his best to keep his mouth shut, but Linc has ways of getting things out of people" Kat paused slightly, "as does the council. The kid may be untouchable, but it's possible his dog is fair game. If not that, there are other means, and other disposable people."

"So who is this Lincoln guy, exactly?"

"No, it's not." Kat said, with a nod of her head. "Lincoln is the area authority over St.Eva. He controls the outpost, what goes in, what goes out. He likes that control, and he loves the current chaos. To put it simply, the man is a psychopath."
