Nat gave her a weak but thankful smile, taking a seat with his plate in hand. He looked down at the food unsure, as if it were foreign to him. "I'm hungry...then not really...you know?" He laughed a little, frustrated. "Its rather annoying when you want to eat but don't want to throw it back up. Such a waste..." He sighed, knowing he had probably cost her a lot these last few days or so.
But after taking the first bite, he dug in. So quickly in fact, he had to make himself stop so he wouldn't get sick or choke. "Delicious!" he cried through a mouthful of eggs.

"Hey now, pace yourself!" The last thing she wanted was for him to succumb to his fear of regurgitating it all back up again. "Once you're done, you're going to go sleep on that couch, you hear? I can handle everything on my own today... don't you worry." Teagan watched him carefully and poured him some water. Orange juice wouldn't do him any good, she knew, though he did need the nutrition somehow.

Nat smiled sheepishly, nodding his thanks as he took a few sips of water. "Sounds good to me...Though, I promise I'll find a way to repay you for the trouble..." He furrowed his brow, knowing she did it out of love, but he would still find a way to thank her somehow..
"oh...By the way...." He looked up at her, his face suddenly dark with worry. "Did I...? ...Are you ok?" He ended up asking, since he was too ashamed to even think he could hurt her.

He didn't remember? A part of her wanted to lie, but they knew each other well enough that he'd be able to tell. Teagan just shrugged, and for a moment, said nothing.
"...you did grab me," she said softly. "Shook me a bit, but you never hit me or anything like that. Just scared me a bit, that's all."

Nat put down his fork and stared down at his plate. He had recalled something of the sort. But it was hard to determined what was a dream and what had been real. "I...didn't mean it..." He looked back up at her. "You know that right? I'd never lay a hand on you." He leaned forward a bit, brow furrowed as his eyes pleaded her to understand that.

"It's not going to happen again, will it, Nat?" Teagan gave him a stern look. There was only so much she could put up with when it came to his recovery. Not that she was 'putting up' with much, because she was helping him out of love, but her own personal safety wasn't about to be forfeited for that.

"No if I can help it." He nodded, this concerned look mixed with guilt still on his face. "I'm not a violent drinker, and I've never hit a woman in my life... If I break this thing...I honestly dont think it'll be a problem..." He answered honestly.

"Alright..." She would just have to take his word for it. If that was the worst of his detox stage, then everything else shouldn't be so violent, she reasoned. With that in mind, Teagan reached out to take his hand and give it a squeeze. "We;ll get through this together. But you have to rest for me. Fall asleep, alright? And if you need anything, come get me."

Nat looked down again, smiling as he squeezed her hand back. "Fine...alright... the same goes for you too though...ok?" He looked up to her with a loving, appreciative smile as he stood. He came over, kissing her sweetly, lingering a bit, before pulling away to do as he was told.

Teagan nodded and smiled. He could take care of himself, she knew, but at the same time she didn't trust him as far as she could throw him.
Most of the day went without a hitch as Teagan arranged several orders and also baked some cookies for town. Around a late lunch, she went to check on Nat who was still on the couch.
"Hey you," she said, coming over to kneel by his side. "How's everything? You alright?" All day she'd been wondering about him and had stuck her head around the corner to check in passing, but hadn't had the time to sit down with him and talk. She felt guilty over such a small thing.

Nat was barely awake and acknowledge that fact with a stretch and a yawn. "I've never slept so much in my life...its like I cant get enough sleep...I just feel so drained..." He admitted, though he was starting to look a bit better. His color was starting to return, which was a good sign.
"How are you?" HE asked humorously as he gazed up at her.

"Oh, I'm fine. Just fine." Teagan leaned over to kiss him softly before coming back to her kneeling position next to him. "You're looking loads better. Are you hungry? Do you need more meds or is everything set?" She laughed after asking all her questions since the one thing he needed most was just to sleep, which he couldn't do with her around.

Nat chuckled, reaching his hand up to her cheek, stroking just under her eye with his thumb. "I'm fine love..." He cooed, smiling. "Honest...I just need a bit more sleep and I think I'll be right as rain..." He sighed, rubbing his head with his other hand, wishing he could just be ok right then. So he could sweep her up in his arms, and thank her properly, and let her know how much eh loved her... she had done so much for him it was insane... but repayment could wait. He had to focus on getting better now...

"Then sleep..." She loved his touch. Adored it, really, with every word he said adding to the feeling and knowledge that she was loved. It was incredible and different than anything else she'd experienced before, and Teagan knew she couldn't mess this up. "I'm just waiting on some cookies, so I've got some time. Love you."

Nat smiled again, nodding as he touched her lips lightly. "Love you darling..." He replied, finally removing his hands, grimacing slightly as he yawned again. "Geeze...I shouldn't have to sleep for a month after this..." He joked tiredly, rubbing his eyes.
