"HELP US?!" Olin roared. "You ENDANGERED the LIFE of one of our members! By saying he was captured instead of one of our team, you made him look like the ENEMY! You stupid B*stard!"
Olin glared at the moronic human. Perhaps it was people like him that the demons hated. Perhaps people like Calix are why they began the genocide.

"Think about it, why would you NOT kill someone you capture in battle? Because you want to INTERROGATE them, not KILL them! I know it was risky, and I sometimes act quicker than I think! But, you could have explained everything once you got to Iola! SHE would understand, not some grunt of a guard!" he continued. He wasn't sure if he could expect Olin to understand what it was he was trying to do. Olin was obviously a fighter, but Calix still wondered if he was a thinker.

The guard sighed again, knowing that he wouldn't get an answer any time soon. Jillian and Kaitlyn didn't intervene, knowing Olin's temper, and Jillian moved over to Calix. "I would apologize if you don't want to get on Olin's bad side for the rest of your life." she said, knowing there was no calming Olin down now.

Olin thought quickly. He never had to stop for more then a moment. Of everyone here, Calix was the only one he felt quite this much loathing for.

Calix glanced over at Jillian. He looked back at Olin and sighed. "I'm sorry for what I did. I didn't mean to make Neferous look like the enemy, but I know what I did wasn't my place. I apologize," he said sincerely. He knew he had already done enough damage and, as he eased out of his anger, realized his error. "Truce?" he asked, holding his hand out.

Jillian waited tensely. She wanted the group in peace again more than most things. She just wanted them all to get along and know each other again. When everyone was so frustrated, no one knew anyone else, yet Jillian felt bad. She was probably the one they least knew. Oh well, she thought, they shall find out soon.

Olin smacked Calix's hand away with the flat of his blade before sheathing it and turning away. He was not going to trust Calix, let alone respect him. He leaned against the wall around the city and closed his eyes. He was now positive that he didn't want to be here. Of all the groups in the world.
((Haha, I think I'm gonna have a NPC vamp ambush and turn Olin before he completely betrays the group.))

Calix stood in silence for a few moments with his arms crossed. He looked at Jillian again. "Thanks for talking me out of that argument. It wouldn't have ended anytime soon if you didn't. But I'm afraid I've already done enough damage here. Are there any hotels around?" he asked her, his voice obviously filled with remorse. He just wanted a new day to come. A chance for him to not screw things up for those around him.

Jillian noticed the remorse, but knew it was in the group's best interest. "Sir, this one has been travelling with us just until he found a place to rest. Would you allow him inside and have someone escort him to an inn?"
The guard thought for a second. "Fine." he gestured to another guard and the other guard walked over to Calix. "This way." he said, walking to the door.

Calix followed the guard into a rather nice-looking inn. Calix had always just shacked up when he came across people, slept on the ground, or found the cheapest inn he could. This one actually seemed comforting. Still, conflict was flowing around inside him. He had grown to like his new acquaintances. Even Olin, temperamental as he was, made Calix respect him. At the same time, he knew that his continued presence would only bring more friction to their alliance. He continued following the guard, only half aware of what was going on around him.

"This inn is free for travelers, but you will have to pay for extras, such as dinner and lunch and such." the guard that Calix was following was explaining.
Meanwhile, the other guard with the group asked again. "Do you understand and respect that any attempt to harm unless harmed yourself will result in death?"

Olin ignored the conversation that ensued. He didn't want to get any more involved into this than necessary. He just awaited Arc's testimony.
Meanwhile, following throughout the trees in silence, another foe staked its prey in perfect stealth. He stood by watching his prey as it held a weapon to the throat of another human. This made his prey seem like even more fun. Now all that was needed was to get him alone for a time to strike.

"That's fine, I won't be needing any extras," Calix said to the guard. With that, he opened a door into an empty room. He stood his Nodachi against a nightstand, removed the cloak around his waist, took off his short jacket, and laid down in the bed. He put his hands behind his head and stared at the ceiling. He thought about how all of these abnormal events had taken place in only a few hours time. He rewinded back through the memories, closely examining each moment. He finally got back to where it all started, and that was where he kept his mind for a while. It was when Jillian had thrown the knife into his arm. He touched the bandage while he thought about it. He removed it, revealing the tiny white scar it had left. Heh, she should owe me for that, he chuckled to himself.
(hold off for a minute on that vamp attack, I want Calix to be a witness XD)
