Gossamer grimmaced and glared back at the man, her hands remained at full glow. The pain was finally gone, but she was almost too shaken up to do anything just yet. Half of her wanted to watch the man's head explode. Half of her wanted to send one of her special little spells at the girl to make her organs decentigrate inside her. And the other half...most of her really...just wanted to drop everything and find Rosie.
But...Julie was helpless. Rosie wasn't. She'd made sure of that when she created Rosie. Rosie was fine. She was...she was fine. And he was dead. She made sure of that too. Everything was fine.

'Just go find her. Ditch these guys. You can't handle all of these freaks yourself anyway.'

'I thought I told you to shut up.'

'You want to stay? Even though you know you're just being used. Right?'

'I'm not-'

'Yes, you are.'

'Just shut-up.'

Gossamer snapped out of it and turned her attention towards Joker a moment. She glanced at martian, then over at the others. At least one of the heavy hitters would be dancing with baldy, so that would leave the other two. "Alright" she replied, the color of her spell bound hands changing colors.

Gossamer winced and the glow around her hands flickered before dimming considerably. She grit her teeth and shot a look over at the others. The fake was apparently the one causing the noise. A second later, her teeth became a bit more pointed and fang like. And a long, scorpion like tail appeared behind her.

Robin fought the pressure and the stretching. She tried her best to fight the stretch and pull of her arms and legs. She bit down her pain by grinding her teeth. A small tear dropped from her eyes. She wanted to yell out but kept it in. She wouldn't give her the satisfaction. Before she knew it she head Gossamer crying out and she found herself on a heap on the floor. She gasped for breath and found it suddenly easier to breath. She couldn't move, wait she could move, she just didn't want to her body was broken and sore. She was about to craw to her feet when she felt someone's arm around her. He was gentle and strong. For some reason she trusted in her gentle strength. She relaxed her beaten body against his as he held her. She was weak but wouldn't give up quite yet. She managed somehow to reach her feet to the floor and put her weight over them again. She had to stay strong. She had to be a pillar of strength. She hadn't even fully comprehended that batman was there. She was too focused on saving her strength and figuring out what was happening.

ENTER from….um…someplace in Gotham.



A small cloud of black smoke exploded on the roof of a nearby building, and a slim black cat faded into view as the smoke cleared. He looked…a bit annoyed….but had an absolutely evil Cheshire grin spread across his face. He glanced at the group on the rooftop of Lexcorp a moment, then turned his attention to some random location in the sky.
”Alright…number one. I am very, very annoyed that you didn’t let me go and get any ’milk’. I finally have my hands free, what do you think the first thing is I want to do.” he muttered seemingly to himself. ”But…I must say…I am very, VERY happy with these new turn of events. This is right up my alley. I’m actually a little glad you decided to allow me to come to this messed up world.” he said, then glanced back down at Lexcorp. His pointy pearl smile grew even more. ”Very happy in deed.”
He then cracked his neck side to side, cracked his back, his arms, fingers, and finally his legs. ”Well then…time to make things interesting.” he purred.
In one large cloud of black smoke, he vanished from the roof.



Gossamer kept her eyes fixed on both J’onn and Batman. The noise was making it hard to think at all, and she was half tempted to just let Jade out to thrash Batman. But…the other man…she wasn’t about to let him do that to her again.

That’s all she had time to think about though. Within a matter of seconds, a large black cloud of smoke exploded around her, and she was gone by the time it cleared.




EXIT Crazy Cat and Gossamer to WAREHOUSE IN SAN FRANSISCO

Robin tried to hold herself up as much as she could. "I know where to find her...we just need to find baby bat...young batman...he has her kid...or did...Rosie..." She mumbled hoping it was coherent. "She's a little firecracker too" She added as she started to fade a little more in color. She leaned a little bit more on John. She didn't know who he was but until now she could run on fumes in theory using mostly adrenaline but now she had exhausted that option and she had very little left.

Soon the lights began to flicker for no apparent reason. Computers flickered or kicked on, quickly becoming bombarded with cartoons and anime videos. Basically anything electrical in the building started suddenly had a mind of it's own. Clearly something was interfering.

Lex, didn't even notice the commotion going on around him. He took another step back and aimed another gun on his suit at Superman.

Joker wasn't paying much attention to the faulty electronics either. He was as surprised with Gossamer's disappearance as J'ohnn and Batsy. More so actually. He waited a moment, still staring at the spot that Gossamer had been, thinking at first that she was trying something. When nothing else happened, it was clear that she had in fact left.


// Sorry, it's been months and we'd like to move things along again. I'm temporarily babysitting CBJ's characters until he gets back. If anything screws up his plans, we'll come back and let him change stuff. 3nodding

On another note, I have no idea what Joker had to combat J'ohnn. I'm assuming it had something to do with fire, but...//
