Ah, that was back in the days when the "Inn" thread in the Geisha Towns forum was still alive... there is no reason why you could not take over Hitori's place as a hokan or male geisha... only that you might end up RPing in a dead thread again. Still, I wish you good luck should you try.

I don't mean to sound pushy by no means... I like this guild alot its helped me with alot of questions I am having..however I was wondering if some of the members who aren't active...are they going to be deleted and where is the owners of the okyia's and classes? I guess I just want more active ish... sorry I just like this guild alot. heart

I don't think the'll be deleated, but I'm not sure. As for what I know, most of the Okiya's are run by the Crew here, and like everyone else they do have a life outside of gaia. So take that into note.

Hey, I wish to become an Okiya mother for the Kazenapopo Okiya, since the curent Okiya mother isnt active at all , I wish to replace her. Who would I ask to become take over the okiya?

Yes, yes, theUnsuspect has a question. ^^ Could someone please, please, please tell me what time period this RPG is set in? I can't really tell, but I'm hoping it's not a modern-day RP, because there's just something missing from today's geisha culture... sweatdrop If someone could answer me this, it'd be a big help. Thanks.

angel_baby_4 I think it's a mixture of both. It was meant to be set in the 1930's-40's, probably, before the war, but we have more contemporary methods, I guess. ^.^ We're pretty flexible.
As far as I know, the novel and film Memoirs of a Geisha have little to do with the actual RPG, but didn't that book take place primarily in the 1920s? During WWI, not WWII? So...would the 30s and 40s (as opposed to the earlier 1900s) really be accurate?
(Again, I know this RP isn't based on MoaG, but since the book's a very historical piece, and since I'm sure many members were introduced to geisha by Author Golden in some way...I just assumed it took place sometime during that era.)

You submit your test to be sorted into an okiya. Once you've been assigned, you post in the okiya as a maid. Roleplay however you wish how and why you were sold.
