Nanako watched as she saw a girl leaving the hall before she walked in and got onto the stage. She opened up her violin case and took her violin out and placed some music on the music stand. She looked around and as she saw no one was there, began playing. She focused on the music, completly oblivious to the world around her before hitting a wrong note.

"Stupid me, stupid stupid me!" Nanako yelled knocking her music to the ground. She sat on the edge of the stage muttering things about how stupid she was as she tried tuning her violin as a distraction. She stopped and frowned as she muttered, "Mother was right, I'm going to be a failure."

((note: the song she was playing was the song Sayuri plays on her violin in the movie The Place Promised in Our Early Days. I have no idea what it's called))

Nanako sighed as she stood up and started to play again before she noticed the sound of shoes. She looked around the walls before noticing a girl. Nanako squinted to see her before saying, "ummm....hi there," She waved slowly, afraid she maybe made the girl angry with her playing.

"If I made you mad in any way," Nanako bowed and said, "I'm really sorry. I just needed to practice."

Nanako relaxed and bowed as well. She smiled and said, "My name is Nanako. Sorry about accusing you...I get that way a lot when I'm around people I don't really know," She picked the music off the ground and nodded to Yume's question.

"I've been playing the violin since I was very young, in my hometown I was considered a prodigy," Nanako said wincing at the thought of home. All the hours she had spent getting abused for missing a note, and she was finally gone. She shook the thought out of her head and asked, "So what brings you here Yume?"

Nanako's face lit up into a huge smile as she said, "Yes! I would love it if you played along with me! Here, just jump in where ever you feel like," She looked at Yume's violin and pointed at it with her bow.

"That's a very nice violin, looks like it would make a good sound, "Nanako said happily. She hadn't been this excited to play violin since...forever. She took a deep breath and started playing the music on the page. As she preformed, she muttered, "Jump in whenever."

I never knew someone would want to talk to me here, despite my screw up. I feel...calm She thought as she played.

Nanako closed her eyes and smiled to herself as she played the song by memory, listening to the rich sound of Yume's violin. She opened her eyes to look at Yume for a moment and noticed she was smiling as she played. Nanako went back to looking at the music.

Nanako was shocked by how much she was improving just because she had someone there playing with her. It moved her and as they played the last note in the song, she sighed.

"That was just, amazing," Nanako whispered to herself looking up at the ceiling.

Nanako took the music off the stand and put it in her violin case as she placed her violin in afterwards. Nanako smiled and said, "Hey, it's no problem. We can play again some time if you want." She stood up holding her case in one time and held out her free hand.

"Friends?" She asked with a smile on her face.

Nanako shook her head no. She looked at the ceiling and said, "Just a few days. What about you?" she looked at Yume and said, "You don't have to call me Nanako-san, Yume. You can just call me Nanako or Nana-chan or whatever works for you," She laughed a little and said, "Would you believe it if I said you were my first friend here?"
