I'm back!
I was Hi-jacked by recruit camp for two weeks. I was told vaguely to show up for the 12th, went with just myslef and some paperwork, and was sent home to pack for 2 weeks. I had to tromp around in boots , learn drill, wake up at 5 am and go running (at which I suck btw--jogging only upped my endurance --and not by much either XD I need a bigger stride.) Doesn't help that my group were the ones who got tromped on at every possible opportunity.
We did pushups for one of us not "marching correctly" while the other group (Charlie) down the hall had A CAKE FIGHT. No word of a lie.
My flight was Bravo btw. We were frickin' had core. We pwned.

I liked it, I've never been to camp. Not even as a kid. It was a cool experience. Especially as I was 1 of four (and later 3 as one girl had been in the reserves and already been through all this) girls out of the 24 in Bravo flight. We all stayed on the same floor in the same building too. Champlain.
They're renovating it starting Sept 10th!! XD It was SO gross! The cadets in charge of us called it the slums b/c it was the only building to not have been remodeled in the past few years. PLus it had bugs everywhere! The girls bathroom had originally been the boys bathroom and still had Urinals! o.e , ew btw.
There's more too, like how the walls at the base of the flights of stairs all had holes/ boards covering them from where people had crashed into them. (They made us run the stairs up and down alllll the time, so it's perfectly understandable.) There was a washing machine that leaked and a dryer that got warm but didn't spin. My room didn't have a shade, or curtains or a garbage can or a CHAIR. XD
