Elysia's eyes narrowed.
"What was that...?" she asked hazily, hearing K'van's statement. She closed her eyes again, the hospital lights worsening her headache.

"...I'm not...?" Elysia mumbled. She coughed. "Hm...I had a nightmare...that's all..." She heard something outside, but figured it was just her imagination and ignored it. "...what are you doing here anyway...K'van?"

Elysia chuckled hoarsely, hearing that noise from outside again. She yawned and shifted to get more comfortable.
"Uncle Roy's overprotective," she mumbled. "He knows I can take care of myself..."

Elysia heard an odd noise. She didn't realize it was K'van performing alchemy. She forced herself to sit up, despite her feeling dizzy. She rubbed her eyes and said, "What was that?"

Elysia glanced up, her eyes adjusting to the lights, and looked over at K'van with dull, sleepy eyes. She felt the bandage wrapped around her head and heard yet another noise.
"Whoever it is really sucks at being quiet," she said.
The bars were suddenly ripped off the window, and someone appeared in the dimly lit window. It was still pretty early, so Elysia began to wonder who on earth would come here at this time?
She narrowed her eyes, her vision blurry. She made out a familiar face...when had she seen it?
Her hand flew over her mouth as the person began to try and break the window, obviously unaware of K'van. Elysia held in a scream. She knew who it was.

The man grinned. He was pretty lanky, just a bit older than Elysia, maybe 20. He looked at her closely.
"Aw, you're scared," he said. "You should be sleeping." He walked over to her, as Elysia tried to move, but couldn't. Last night came flooding back to Elysia, and she was scared out of her mind. She looked fragile now, as if this man would touch her and she'd shatter.

The man let out a cry of pain and yanked the knife out of his shoulder, blood staining his shirt. He glared at K'van.
"When did you get in here?!" he snapped. He was close enough to Elysia. He dripped blood all over the place. He turned and saw her about to press the nurse's assistant button.
"Don't do that!" he exclaimed. He whacked her in the back of the head as soon as she pressed it, making her drop onto the pillow like a dead weight. He heard feet coming down the hall.
"I'll get you!" he growled at K'van before running to the window and jumping out.

"What happened in here?!" Roy shouted, opening the door. He saw his niece still out on the bed, but then he saw the blood. "WHAT JUST HAPPENED K'VAN?!"
