Tess sighed, not knowing why she even bothered with men in general anymore. She got up and pushed the chair she sat on the sound, hitting the wall with a bang. "Sorry," she muttered to herself. Tess ran her hands over her face and picked back up the mic from the floor. "Sure." With emotions soaring through her, Tess tapped her foot to count the beats before beginning to sing. She glanced back once to make sure everyone was ready, and started the first verse, waiting for others to join in. "My hands are searching for you / My arms are outstretched towards you / I feel you on my fingertips / My tongue dances behind my lips for you..." She could feel tears fill up behind her closed eyes and begged them to go away. "This fire rising through my being / Burning I'm not used to seeing you..."
Dem winced at the sound of the chair hitting the walls, and looked at Tess. He was truly concerned about her. Yeah, she's had episodes before but this seemed like it could be a start to a whole new one; he prayed it wouldn't be.
Parker placed his guitar against the wall and walked around the spacious room. "This is pretty nice." He grinned over towards Max, and flipped on the amps. He grabbed his guitar and plugged in the cables. Strumming, Parker played a few chords, "it has a good sound too."
Val pushed herself out of her car and looked around the lot, making sure that no one was around. Quickly, she stripped and changed her clothes, slipped on a pair of ballet slippers and a pink scarf that matched. Val sighed, and began her walk towards the building. She made a mental note to get her key back, and possibly get a room change. Sure, her room mates were nice and all, but they seemed to have their own thing going on, and she didn't want to bug them. She clicked the button for the elevator and went down to the basement. A few sounds made their way through the so called sound proof walls. The first door sounded like there was a full stage band inside, so she moved to the next, figuring Parker's band wasn't as big. Val knocked on the door, and waited for a response.

Kimi kept the bass notes strong but not to loud, she didn't want to take away from Tess's vocals. When Gab had left she just brushed it off, he had his ways and she couldn't change that.Max looked over when there wasa knock on the door and grinned. "Come in!" She called, Then took her uke from her back into her hands, she strummed a little and spun around one. She sang a little song that she had made up on the spot.

Myria was relieved the fight seemed to have stopped for the moment and began to play the beat with one hand. She used the other to playing a simple harmony. This is really good, she thought to herself as she hummed along quietly.

Trace entered the practice room in the middle of Tess' song. He plugged his guitar into the amp beside Demetri. He listened to the sounds and beats of each instrument, especially Dem's and joined in. He was impressed at how good Dem had gotten since he left. The main point of having two guitarist had been to intensify the sound of it, but when Trace left, Demetrie had to make up for both of them. Trace shook the thought away, and gave his full attention to the remainder of Tess' song, watching her intently.
Val opened the door and stepped inside, with her acoustic guitar strapped to her back. "H-Hello." She pushed a smile onto her face, trying to seem less awkward. "Sorry I took so long. I...uh..had," she yawned," had stuff to do." Val glanced from Parker to the girl she never saw before. The last thing she wanted them to know was that she had spent the previous night sleeping in her car.

Max approached the girl and let her Uke fall to her side, supported by the strap around her shoulder. "Nice to meet cha, I'm Max... Val, right?" She tilted her head and grinned. If anything It would be nice to have someone other then Parker to ask for things from. But the woman did seem kind of awkward, something was going on with her.

Myria grinned as Trace entered the room, it had been a while since she'd seen him last. As Myria played the keyboard, she watched the others in the room: Kimi was concentrating on the song as always; Trace had only just arrived, but joined in immediately; Dem still looked stressed out at Tess; and Tess was throwing herself into the song. It sounds good at least, but I can't help thinking there's something really bugging Tess. Maybe I'll talk to her later. She turned back to her instrument, still keeping half an eye on the others.

As the last word Tess spoke faded, the song came to an end. A heavy sigh escaped through her parched lips, and she reached for her water bottle. Spinning on her heels, she faced the rest of the band for any comments or concerns, before downing the rest of the bottle.
"Nice to meet you too." Val forced a smile across her face, looking back and forth from Parker to Max. Unsure of what exactly to do, she removed the guitar from her back and unzipped the flimsy case. She held up the acoustic guitar towards Parker. "I um..don't know how to..tune it," she was ashamed. The chords weren't hard but tuning it using only her ear wasn't exactly her talent. She shrugged, handing him it.

Kimi put a hand over her strings and looked up at Tess a little smiled on her face. She loved the song, and didn't have anything to say so she kept quiet, looking at the talented young woman.
Max was a little confused, even she knew how to tune a guitar and it wasn't even one of her favorite instruments, did they really get someone this new? She took the guitar when the girl was about to hand it to Parker and sat down on one of the tall stools tuning it quickly. "How long have you played?" Max asked plucking one of the strings a few times before moving on to tune the next. It only took her three minutes to tune it, and she strummed a few cords when she was done making sure everything was solid.

Myria walked to Tess and hugged her again, "I love it!" She smiled, "Even better than through a door." After giving a small laugh she went back to her keyboard and sat on the stool beside it. "So what will we call it?" She asked them all, but mainly Tess.

[This is my first time actually looking at this roleplay after making the decision to take a temporary leave from this roleplay. Just wanted to apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused you, and let you know that, though I never intended on my absence extending as far as it already has, I will not be able to come back for some time. In fact, if it would be convenient to anyone in the roleplay for me to submit a post in which I remove my character or characters, I would have no problem doing so. Sorry to interupt, please feel free to delete this message if it serves as no benefit to anyone or gets in the way of your roleplaying. ~Shannon]

Tess smiled back at Kimi before turning towards Myria. She laughed lightly at her joke, and clicked the microphone back into place on the stand. "I haven't really given it much thought." Running the lyrics through her head, Tess tried to find a few words that would pull at someone's attention. She shrugged, and looked over at Kimi. "Any ideas?"
