I got so lost today in the Convention Center attached to the Hotel. sweatdrop It's a labyrinth in that place, very easy to get turned around. I was literally walking in circles. I passed 8 or so perfectly good exits looking for a way out. When my coworker showed me all of them I felt like an idiot. On the plus side, I'm an idiot that can now escape a building all by myself! blaugh

I'm still learning about all the ins and outs of the job, but as long as nothing major happens on shift I think I'll be ok. I more or less know the layout of the towers, and I'm getting to understand the convention center as well. It certainly is a new view. I'm actually having fun learning everything. It's just a lot to take in all at once. ^_^;

pretty sure you'll get the hang of it in no time. Nah I just remembered being at megacon at the convention center. It seemed endless to me. plus during that time they were building more add ons. Im like really?!

OK I found out I can't have friends or family visit me while I'm at work. I can eat in the restaurant with friends and family on my day off if I want, however it is discouraged. They really don't want employees on property at all unless they're working. It's probably an image thing. I mean one of the rules is that I can arrive no earlier and stay no later than 15-20 mins of my scheduled shift.

King CrazyRob Zelexia It's just a lot to take in all at once. ^_^; Like a college campus? xd Not quite, at least I had some idea of what the whole security thing was like before getting into this job. College was much harder to get a handle on. This convention center is nowhere near the size of the Orange County Convention Center. The whole complex might be the size of the dealer's room from Megacon this year. I've pretty much figured out how this one goes, it was just a matter of being showed around once or twice. The staff-only halls threw me big time at first though, they're rather winding.
