Dru wa sstarting to get annoyed by the older man, more so than the last time she checked. But she still raised her eyes and began thinking about how hard it might be to make a head shot on those damn things. Unfortunately some of her comrades weren't even trained in basic weaponry. And it was painfully obvious.
Almost silently she began her prayers, she wanted out of this place now.

Sighing, Alaric took a step back from the stairs, Now I have no use, so much for all of my 'skills'... He pulled a dagger from his belt after puting the club back in place and flipped it in his hand a few times, then held it so the blade covered his fore arm, and could easily be spun so it was pointing forward.

"Hit em!" Osiris called. He and his men popped up as the Lickers' heads whipped around. One of them caught a huge bullet in its face, flipping it completely over backwards and ripping off the top of its head. A spray of automatic fire from the soldiers put a few of the other Lickers down as the others sprang for cover and attack. Osiris neatly skirted a pounce attempt, and fired a shot into the back of the Licker's skull as it went past. "Let's move, people!" he said, running across the floor and firing as he went.

In spite of his urge to Run forward and kill as many as possible, he refrained and stayed behind the group of shooters and soldiers.

It was not until he passed the Fire Station that the former criminal Patrick began to become suspicious of his surroundings. He had been following the tracks left by the surviving vehicle, fruitless pursuit though it was at the moment.
He temporarily paused in the street, quieting the motor on his bike. He found it incredibly odd that he had not been tirelessly pursued at this point. In fact, the way had been mostly clear aside from a few shambling monsters that barely moved before he was gone.
He looked to the side at the broken down firehouse, then back to the tracks.
Suddenly a zombie jumped from the shadows of the building at a blinding speed, knocking Patrick from his bike and onto the cold earth. The Irishman grunted and struggled, managing to free an arm and spun the Benelli off his back and into his hand. He pulled the trigger quickly, blasting out the beast's entrails and abdomen, causing it to stagger backwards.
The shaken man was furious as he stood up then fired again, "I'll teach ya ta sneak up on me, ya rottin' git!"
This shot took off one of its arms, staggering it further back, "You yellow b*****d! You never shoulda came out here!"
His next shot blew the other arm off, sending it back again, "Stay down!"
The final shot disintegrated its head and sent it jerking backwards, landing on the trunk of a broken down car. Unfortunately for Patrick, the car's alarm then sounded, its piercing loud noise broke the silence of the area and surely sounded like a dinner invitation to every zombie in the area.
"Oh... bloody 'ell..."
Wasting no time, Patrick climbed back onto his bike and began rapidly revving the handles, already spotting a small horde enclosing on his position. Taking off in a cloud of smoke and dust, he continued his pursuit, hoping to find life before death found him.

Grigori Murdock began making calculated shots at the zombies as they turned their gruesome eyes his way. He had managed to down four of them with six bullets when Osiris shouted, "Let's move, people!" He took down one more and then turned to run. He stumbled over the licker Osiris had been so kind to leave in the way, but maintained a running balance. "Crazy $*#&ing kids," he mumbled as he ran. In all honesty, Murdock didn't really think it was all as big of a deal as his mouth made it seem. He just had a habit of exaggerating his emotions with words.

Drusilla hadn't expected them to go down so easily, especially with their size and level of creep factor, but she followed the group of people. Safty in numbers and all that jazz. And of course Murdock was complaing about them. Stupid Murdock, he should be glad he wasn't going to die alone.

[Long absence, but I've found my muse and am up to speed...]
Lilith ran with the rest of the group, stepping carefully over the corpses of the Lickers the others had killed. In her white-knuckle grip was the crowbar she refused to drop. At least she was still alive and protected, for now, anyway. Even with her cloudy eyesight she managed to follow a few steps behind the group of gun-toting men.

Alaric wanted to do something, but stayed back with some girl with a crowbar. He knew he could do something up close, but he didn't want to test himself against a licker, "You seem to be stumbling a little, do you want some help? Name's Alaric by the way." He did a quick spin to be sure that nothing was coming up behind them.

It wasn't long until Patrick neared the hospital. He heard gunfire coming from inside the building.
Someone was still alive... for now.
He spotted the vehicle that had been used to reach the location, though after a cursory inspection, he decided it was empty. Aware of the ever-present threat of the zombies that had been chasing him, he parked his bike for a moment and ran to the doors of the hospital.
"'Ey!" he yelled, banging on the doors, that had apparently been locked behind whoever was inside,"Is anyone still alive in there?"
He heard a loud screech as he turned just in time to blast away a rabbit-like creature with a wickedly long tongue. Afterwards he realized the Benelli needed to be reloaded, seeing a handful of zombies already massing in the distant streets.
"Gah! Nuts to this."
Acting quickly, he hopped onto his motorcycle and drove down the back alley beside the hospital. He gazed on the dead end with malice, though he looked upwards and spotted the fire escape that was still intact. He reloaded the shotgun as fast as possible, then brought out one of his beers from his pack. He took a quick chug then poured the rest out. He placed the bottle beside the gas cap of his motorcycle.
"Can't believe I had to waste a good beer for this. Hold on Mary, this'll just sting fer a sec."
Letting the gasoline flow into the empty container until it was three quarters full, Patrick then tore a shred from his plaid shirt and stuck it into the bottle halfway. Setting the bottle down gently, he watched as the first zombie rounded the corner.
"Say hello ta ol' Winchester for me!"
Pulling the SIG SSG Commando from his back, he unloaded on the incoming zombies, cutting down three in the first spray. He quickly reloaded the rifle and fired again.
The cocktail he had just produced would buy him some escape time if things got too hairy... he just hoped he could hold out long enough to get to that point.

((Winged! I missed you!))
The team, led by Osiris and the ZDF, made their way across the floor in a phalanx, firing in all directions at any encroaching zombies. The Lickers remained a problem, and when they were near the far side, where the stairs were, the Lickers were grouping up behind them. "Let's get g - " Osiris was saying, but he was cut off as a growling erupted behind them, as they backed towards the stairs. Bone-chilled, they all froze. Nobody wanted to open the door to the stairs without knowing what was in there.

Grigori was the tail end of the group as they arrived at the other side of the hallway, almost running into Drusilla. He put a hand on her shoulder to slow himself. "Mm, excuse me." He turned one-eighty to watch their backsides. Without glancing in her direction, he asked Dru quietly, "Why did we stop?" The pause in the action was quickly getting to his nerves, but he was trying to keep himself a bit cooler. It had been so long, he realized, that he no longer dealt with the adrenaline like he should. Another deep breath, that should do it. Pop pop, from his handgun and another zombie went down.

"Because something freaky is growling behind that door," Dru said, confused. "Can't you hear it?"
If someone in the part couldn't hear that would be bad. Both because they wouldn't hear approaching death and because they might not hear someone calling for help. She hoped this wasn't something ongoing, the guy was kind of old, but he shouldn't be that old.
