As soon as the syllables were uttered, Yemits' foe constricted his body with lightning-speed, snapped the tree, and then loosened its hold, all in a matter of seconds. Although, by the amazing power of the reptilian body, Onstaan remained upright, the gigantic tree fell directly onto Yemits.
Onstaan knew this would anger the forest-guardian greatly. Onstaan did not care whether creature guarded anything or not. He just wanted to bask in the glorious sunlight, on the banks of the Naan....
Also, and although it was too completely dwarfed by the towering giants of Guardians, a massive (in its own right) outburst of Ethereal energy emitted from the base of the severed tree, an overpowering force which would knock back and daze all humans (and possibly the tiny platypus) surrounding it.

(Zaccheus isn't a platypus at the moment.)
Zoey yelled and grabbed hold of the spikes on Zaccheus's back at the energy, hoping that the things in her backpack stayed inside.

Falian and Reign followed, Floreta with Alhiria on her shoulder drifting along behind them.
"I'm excited, Reign," Falian told her Guardian. "Is the Ether really exactly like you said?"
Reign nodded.
"Of course," she replied. "I was one of the first Guardians that came to be. I was living there up until several years ago." She smiled wolfishly at Falian. "Up until you were born. I haven't been back sense."
Hopefully going to the Ether will allow you to finally channel my powers. Reign thought to herself. I waited thousands of years for a Guarded - I refuse to have a faulty one! She WILL learn to channel my powers. Reign's eyes narrowed. She WILL.

Holly, feeling completely forgotten and unneeded, began to trudge in the general direction of the Guardians and their companions. Narissa slithered after her, fangs exposed while she tested out the air. It seemed as though it was getting less dense, and cooler, but that may have been the day coming to an end.

((For the love of-!))
Shef and co. soon arrived in the lost garden, a place of weathered stone and overgrown vegetation... and of a plain stone archway, standing still and alone, in the center. Only through the power of a Guardian could it be found and opened... or, at least, opened.
Shef glanced around; he remembered this place... it was very familiar. But he couldn't quite place it.
"So this is the Gate...."

"Correct!" Chimed a pretty little voice not too far away. Seemingly out of nowhere a freshly bathed and curious Kiki lay across a rock, her little chin resting on her hand. One of her eyebrows perked. THAT, was what a gate looked like. Almost instantly her scheming mind went to work. They all had guardians like hers it seemed, but she wasn't too concerned with Guardians. They could go off and do their own thing, she figured. But Kiki looked over the whole bunch. Her eyebrow still raised in plotting. Breezily, she smiled, and blinked. Possibly to bide more time.
Odemunk sensed some more guardians in the area. Wonderful. As long as Kiki wasn't attempting to go into the world her mother dwelled, he would enjoy having them over into his lovely tree-hut like mansion. I guess, he was friendly- but he wasn't willing to rent out the rooms in his house. No, sir. Kal scoffed, and went back to his studies.

((Well, what am I supposed to post? lol Holly's getting ignored as of right now.)) "Maybe you'd be better off just going to the Ether yourself later on," Narissa hissed quietly, sympathetically watching Holly follow her newfound 'friends'.
Holly was beginning to agree when they neared a place you'd expect to find only in the Secret Garden. Here is a nice picnic area, she thought, remembering her half-finished sketch sitting in her bag. Maybe I should pack something less heavy next time. Or more useful, at least.

Why do I come back to you?You hate me. You scream at me. You ignore me.But I still come back to you.You push me. You pull me. You shove me against random solid objects all hours of the day.But I still run back to you. Why?"We are not hopelessly in love." Falian blinked, looking around.
Her lips pursed.
"Doesn't look like much," she stated simply. "I expected like, trumpets or something."
Reign rolled her eyes.Well, maybe I hate you too. Maybe I want to scream at you too.
Maybe I want to kill you too.
I yell at you. I fight with you. I drag my nails down your back so hard that I draw blood.
But you don't care.
You don't care because you love me too.
Why must our love be so tragic? "We are just hopelessly addicted."
