The limo driver didn't say much. He was thinking about what Will had said. "No past that anyone can find. But she has to have a past right?" He thought about the gleam in Dakota's eyes when she started planning for this. She had seemed kind of moppy before that."Maybe her past is full of hurt and she doesn't want anyone to know."

Ainsley's ears perked up, He's a writer? She should have brought some examples of her work! She started to ignore the conversation because Anna's need for sleep was more important, but the ending was so sad. She lifted her head to look at him and murmured, "You're Will right?" she normally talked to the person after meeting them but he'd come during the embarrassing incident. "Just because your past shapes who you are, doesn't mean you aren't reshapable. It's in the past, and it's getting farther and farther away from you all the time." She gave him a kind smile, and lingered long enough to let the comfort set in. Then she turned back to Anna, "Have you decided?"

Will blinked and thought for a sec, "Well," he said, "no, witness protection wouldn't work, she's famous, that screws that program over, trust me, been there don that." He sighed, after the wreck they had put him in witness protection, but that was the same time that one of his books was one of the top sellers. And every book had his picture and real name. "A past full of hurt is almost the same as lost," he said, "maybe she feels we can sympathize with each other some how." He yawned a bit and looked over, "How did she manage to get you?" he asked, "whats the connection there?" He looked back to Ainsley and nodded, "True," he said, "but my past is full of lost, too much of it," he said to her, "I've been alone. for three years"

The limo driver shrugged. "I needed a job and she was looking for a limo driver. She's compasionate. Likes to help people." He was lost in his own thoughts about how he came to be in Lady Dakota's service. He had been standing outside the supermarket when she pulled up in a beat up convertible vw bug. She looked at him and asked one question. "Need a job? Get in." He was desperate so he climbed in and she talked the whole time she drove to the little appartment. She had told him that she was going to become famous soon and she needed a limo driver. He had some experience with limos so she hired him before she was even famous.

((That's fine, I posted mine before Krazy posted her's...and I didn't see it...sorry Krazy.
And a random thought, though it does make some sense...ish, you have to get a chauffeur's license in order to drive a limo...I only know that because I knew someone who had twins then triplets like really close to the same age, and there wasn't any mini van that could hold 5 carseats in addition to their older kid.))
Ainsley looked back at him, her eyes soft, "Well, everyone came here hoping for something, maybe Dakota's hoping to help everyone," she shrugged a little, but the little fact--though only fact about Dakota made her smile. It's was nice that she wanted to help people. Maybe she will help us get out of dad's old debts.

Lysander ignored Anna. He didn't like to be sleeping near strangers. And as far as he was concerned, they were strangers. He wasn't even all that sure about Ainsley yet. Although she was the person he was closest to so far. So far. Lysander got tired of shuffle and began browsing his music. Passing all the music that made him drowsy or the really happy music (yes, he had it), he had troubles finding a song he wanted. He ended up just putting it on Rammstein and went on with his yo-yo.

Ainsley's dark gaze spanned the limo. Was anyone asleep? The brunette had had trouble keeping her eyes open around the time she'd ended up in Lysander's lap. She hated the fact that thinking about that 'incident' made her blush. But hopefully, the dimmed lighting would hide it; only the two next to her could possibly see it. She trusted Anna to not mention it, and if Lysander did, she had a glare ready for him.
Actually she could feel that faint burning underneath her eyes as they strained to open after each blink. She had removed her back from the seat, so she actually swayed without support. If these people wanted to talk, coffee needed to be made. She was used to fighting tiredness, but she didn't trust her skill to succeed now.
Admittedly, the past week she'd doubled her shifts. With Dakota's early notice, she had not been able to give her boss the traditional two weeks for notice. She was lucky: only her record as a wonderful secretary and the law firm had found another quickly had helped her. She had grown used to her long shifts, having gotten permission to do homework in between their papers. The double shift nearly killed her, having gotten four or five hours most nights. She had been determined to leave her mother with some extra money. She'd hid it in her make-up back with a note, knowing and praying that her father would not look there. He'd found many of her hiding spots before, but she prayed this one worked. He could not be trusted with any money, let alone the couple thousand she'd managed to save. He was not allowed to run errands, because any money he was given quickly became 'lost' for him to gamble away. Originally, she had not known why they needed money constantly. Only that she'd sell her lemonade and flowers to 'help the family.' It took her a while to realize that the condition of living seemed to decrease after the nights Daddy went out.
Sighing to herself, Ainsley reached up, pulling out the hair ties holding up her pigtails, then ran her fingers through the long hair, trying to flatting it out. Silently, she prayed for somebody to save her mother and help her father. Shaking her hair once she turned her attention back to Anna.

((Argh. Sorry I didn't post for a while. Had a busy day yesterday and didn't have much time.))
Zenith smiled calmly. "Was this all a plot to steal my chair?" He asked mockingly, his voice slightly patronizing. "You know there are plenty more. Or does it feel much more comfortable, knowing that you shifted someone else out of it to sit there?" Heavy sarcasm tinted his voice, as it often did, but his face was cheerful and the joke was friendly. Ignoring the comment about his unruly hair, he took a seat on the two seater across the table from her.
The night outside the window was getting gradually darker, and the moon was large and lucid in the blackened sky. At this rate the guests would be arriving in the early hours of the morning. Unless they could sleep comfortably in a moving vehicle they would be considerably tired. Was Dakota under the impression that these particular people were nocturnal? Were they? It wouldn't be the strangest turn of events to occur since he accepted this job. He sighed, and it turned into a yawn halfway. "Jeez I'm tired. I'm in bad need of a coffee, you want me to make you one?" He asked, standing and stretching slightly.

Dakota rolled her eyes at his sarcastic coments. She shook her head with a smile when he yawned. "Awww...poor you. You haven't done anything to be tired." She stood and streched, she wasn't tired but she really hadn't done anything but run all day and so she was getting stiff. "I'll come with you to get it...don't want some weird drug in my drink...or poison." She was kidding of course but there were people out there who might do something like that.

Hearing voices decided on making coffee, Isaac quickly made his way to their source to discover the Lady of the house and Zenith. He immediately wished he had not come to join them. He would have preferred the company of Sasha or the near-silent driver to theirs, but he was there now, so there wasn't any turning back. He sighed silently, and attempted to follow them with equal silence. His goal was not to stalk them like a creeper, but simply to remain unimportant. He didn't want to be rude and ******** something up. Heaven knows he'd done it before.

((Sorry for not being on, guys! Foamy the Squirrel kidnapped me and practiced his squirrelly wrath on me! So...anyway, sorry 'bout that. I'll be more active now. XD))
Anna looked at Ainsley carefully. "Well, I would accept and lean on you, but A), I'm not tired, and B), you are. My shoulder's pointy, so I probably shouldn't offer it for you to lean on or you'd stab yourself, but I can switch places with you and you can lean on the window. It's cold, but it's better than gouging your ear off." Anna shrugged. It was true, her shoulders were pointy. It was like the bones had forgotten that what they were in was supposed to be a shoulder and not a knife.
