The blind guy has a red hat, the other two have white hats.

The ones who could see saw the red hat and the white hat and couldn't tell what they had on, the blind guy couldn't see the two white hats anyway so...

2 eyes has a white, 1 eye has white, blind is red.

incorrect.

Hm.

So blind, one eye, two eyes with 3 white and 2 red.

So 2 eyes can't tell what he has, so that means the other two don't both have red hats. So they're either both white or one red, one white.

1 eyes can't tell either because though he knows he and blind guy aren't both wearing red, there can be one red and one white or both white.

Blind can tell he has red since the first two are then wearing white.

Dang. What'd I do wrong?

The man with two eyes said that he didn't know, this indicates that the other two were not both wearing red hats otherwise he would have said that he was wearing a white hat since that would be the only color of hat left. This means that they (One-Eye and the Blind man) are either both wearing white or that there is one red and one white.
Knowing this, the only thing the one eyed man had to do was look at the hat on the blind man's head. If the blind man had a red hat on then One-Eye would know that he had on a white, but if the blind man had a white hat on then One-Eye would not be able to tell whether he had a white hat or a red hat on.
Since he said that he didn't know, this told the blind man that he must have had a white hat on otherwise the man with one eye would have known what color hat he had on his head.
(Tell me if you didn't get that)

No, that makes sense- I just didn't think of what the one-eyed man could assume about his. Doh!

Did anyone do this riddle yet?

A farmer dies and leaves his 17 sheep to his three sons.
To his eldest his gives half his sheep
To his 2nd son he gives one third of his sheep
To his youngest whom he doesn't much care for he gives one ninth of his sheep.

How many sheep does each son get?

bingo...
Its not a great riddle, but your supposed to say how you got the answer.

Add one to 17 and you get 18, 1/2 of 18 is 9, 1/3 of 18 is 6, 1/9 of 18 is 2.
9+6=15, 15+2=17.
